The stars of hotels in Egypt are assigned not according to international standards, but according to the principle “more or less and better” - 5 *, “very bad and across the road from the sea” - 4 *, there are no three stars at all.
Therefore, when we entered our Domina Aquamarine Beach 5 * room, I was somewhat confused by the old dirty furniture, poor plumbing, a poorly functioning refrigerator, and dirty cabinets. There is a safe in the room. The air conditioner worked great. But you quickly get used to everything and stop noticing.

Domina Oasis Hotel and Domina Aquamarine Beach are the same price, but the Aquamarine buildings are located near the main pool and closer to the sea, so we chose the latter. In the more expensive Domina hotels, the number of rooms may be better, but now everyone is fed the same way in one restaurant, because there are few people.
We arrived early in the morning, we were immediately settled without additional charges. There are Russian speaking staff at the reception. Veronika starts working from 16.00. Many thanks to her, she solves all issues for Russian-speaking guests. She helped us change the room from the second to the third floor with a beautiful sea view, also free of charge.
The hotel has bathrobes and slippers, but they are given only on request - ask immediately upon check-in!
Drinking water in the room is provided only upon check-in. Then you need to type in bars or restaurants yourself. You can buy in the supermarket - 1dol / 1.5 liters.
Cleaning comes down to making the bed, changing the towels, and sweeping the mop down the aisle. Age-old dust is collected in the corners, under the bed and in the closets. But this is due to the exceptional laziness of the Egyptians.
About the location of the Domina hotel, the beach and the sea.
Hotel-city Domina, which includes 8 hotels and more private villas. Coastline - 2.5 km! Capacity 3000 people. Was only 10% full.
So much tropical greenery that I had the constant feeling that we were in Thailand. The territory of the hotel is so huge that it took only 12 days to get around.
For the first time in my life, I did not want to leave the Hotel. All needs were covered. There is a whole street of shops: a supermarket, souvenir shops, everything for snorkeling and swimming, watches, jewelry, a pharmacy, an excellent Italian clothing store, a beauty salon, a library, shops with oils and spices, leather goods, etc. The sellers invite you a little intrusively, but then we have learned to get around them.
There is a night club and a diving center. There is a kids club where children are constantly entertained.
The hotel has its own mini-farm, they take you there on excursions. There is a casino. There is mini golf. There are many paying restaurants.

Domina also has a private 1st Care Medical Service clinic on site that handles our insurances. This is a very big plus, as it turned out a week later. Demineralized sea water is used for cooking and for the needs of the hotel. Plus exorbitant consumption of a variety of dishes. Every 3rd organism begins to resist and vilify. Sharma State Hospital has a very bad reputation, it is better not to go there.
The hotel is Italian, so the animators are Italians and Russians. All the guys are great fellows. From morning until evening, activities are carried out: aqua aerobics in the pool, and on the main beach: fitness, learning Latin American dances, darts, beach volleyball.
Evening dance shows deserve special attention! Every evening a new show with new scenery, 8-9 numbers, each in new beautiful costumes! I didn't even want to leave the hotel so as not to miss it. These shows are famous all over Sharm.
We went to a show in Genina City (at 10 and 11 pm), I only got through 2 numbers, it was such a pitiful sight.
There are NO mosquitoes throughout the hotel, although there are a huge number of them in Sham El Sheikh. If you travel to the city, take funds with you. Mosquitoes fly silently and bite mercilessly.
WiFi is available throughout the hotel (including the beach), the Internet is free, the speed is excellent!
Long beautiful beach, dozens of new sunbeds, always free. Very beautiful reef - a lot of fish. There are also pantones, but the most interesting thing is to go along the carved pedestrian entries into the sea. There are a lot of fish and warm water.
Attention! On the main beach, at the very edge of the water, there is a small electric stingray. I almost stepped on him. Look under your feet. And 2 more beautiful surgeon fish, they constantly attack - they protect their territory. At the ends of their tails they have blades with which they cut the skin very deeply. You can’t touch anything in the Red Sea, most of the fish are poisonous.
All real estate in Domina is for sale, that is, you can buy any room (from $60.000) or a villa (from $500.000 to $3.5 million). Not far from the supermarket there is a real estate agency, where a Russian-speaking manager will tell you everything in detail. Now the prices have dropped a lot, because the crisis - there are no tourists.
About nutrition.

There are coffee machines with natural delicious coffee and cappuccino! Available all day at all bars.
All inclusive bars near the pool and on the beach are open from 9.00 to sunset, and then the panoramic bar on the roof near the restaurant - until 23.00: everything is quite tasty.
Many Egyptians came to the May holidays, they fed very well. Grilled tuna and mackerel cooked. Then the Egyptians left, the variety diminished. But there was always chicken, veal, fish and squid, lots of fresh and baked vegetables, fruits and delicious sweets. We liked everything! Those tourists who were used to hundreds of meters of food were unhappy. But perhaps you should choose hotels of a higher price level.
About a taxi. If you book at the hotel, then it will be 11 dollars to the Old City. Walk 100 meters on foot to the first security post and you can bargain with taxi drivers who are bored there up to 4-5 dollars.
Overall, I really liked the hotel - I recommend it!
