This hotel is not for Russians, and you understand this even at the reception when at 11 am you are asked for $ 15 for breakfast, because check-in is at 2 pm, and the German is immediately given a room and an all-inclusive bracelet. Receptionist speaks rudely!
As for the dead numbers: we changed the number 3 times. 1-it was really dirty and dead, I didn’t dare to touch the plumbing, because under the layer of dirt there was a “mess” of rust and I was afraid that the faucet would remain in my hands. 2-it was cleaner, the cleaner tried, but the rooms need repair, they want the curtains to be thrown into the trash, and the furniture is washed with a Karcher jet. The rooms are ALL big but they are dark and not cozy and sooo dusty. In the evening, as the kitchen brazier was "lit" under our window, I went to change the room! 3 - everything that I wrote above, but the location is in a quieter place.
To believe the reception or guides in Egypt "God forbid. " When at 12 noon the guide “swears to you by your mother” that your room will be removed soon after other tourists soon, then do not believe it ! ! Arriving at 17 pm, traces of "someone else's life" were in the room, and the linen was simply straightened out like a new bed.
There is nothing in the rooms, if you get into trouble and have already bought tickets to this hotel, replenish your luggage with all the "bath" products, including hand soap (and this is 5 stars)! Ideally, take at least a couple of towels, because the "clean" ones were most often not clean, with the feeling that our floor is playing the game of "exchanging towels"! And if someone says "it was necessary to put $", I answer: they put it!! ! But THERE everything is dirty, they just don't see the dirt or don't want to see it! UNSANITATION!
Dining room!! ! I can't call THIS a restaurant. The fact that after 3 days you will know the entire menu by heart (because it does not change) and reach chicken or french fries (for a child) with your eyes closed is 100%. The choice of food is small, monotonous. Be prepared that the whole vacation the child will eat french fries, there is no other food (pasta can be of poor quality, as the neighbor on the table put it: "snot"). But the choice of legumes pleases: dry chickpeas, lentils and some other "cereals" were always in abundance and remained in full until the end of lunch and dinner! Many suffer with stomachs, stock up on smecta, enterosgel, etc. (we still treat stomachs, thanks to BIBLIO GLOBUS)!
And a separate song: dishes - sort through 10 plates and find a conditionally clean one, cutlery - be sure to clean the leftover food with the only napkin given out, tables and chairs: here we are powerless, just sit on the edge so as not to wipe the bird poop and do not put your hands on the table and things not to stick to dirt! The hotel is NOT dirty, there is UNSANITATION!
We occupied a table in 20-30 minutes, because there was not enough for everyone and many ate on sun loungers by the pool. But be prepared that especially cunning waiters can remove your thing (while you are picking up food) to make room for your favorite German who pays them.
The territory is large enough, BUT there are no walking areas, that is, you just walk on the tiles around the pool among the sun loungers. You can go for a walk along the beach or to neighboring hotels, where the area is nicer. This hotel has no lawns!
The hotel is devastation and terrible dirt, which you will not find in 2 ** hotels, the attitude is pig. ALL Muscovites, Petersburgers, who rested at the same time as us, were in shock and only said that they would NEVER come here again.
In all respects, the hotel pulls barely 2 **. In the center of Hurghada, small 3 *** hotels look like fives against the backdrop of WATERWORLD.
Of the benefits))) the sea and the sun. The beach is good, you can dive with masks. Sand. If you like to wallow in the sun and you need 1 or 2 rows of sun loungers closer to the sea, set an alarm clock from 5.20 to 5.50 in the morning, then there is really something else to do in front of the Germans! Or negotiate for $ so that the beach workers take your place!
Take more medicines, detergents, $ and patience with you, then you will be able to survive this vacation.
I would like to say thanks to Biblio Globus, because your "WE RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL" prompted me to take a ticket to Waterworld. You have fallen below the plinth, I will think 100 times before buying a ticket from you again!
Traveling for 23 years and having visited Egypt 5 times, for the first time I encountered SUCH horror!
Constantly no plates, food runs out, drinks, and most importantly tables! at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Today for dinner stood for 10 minutes in line at the table. The dishes are not washed, the plates are wiped after washing with an apparently dirty rag, maybe I smelled the smell of rotten meat! Nightmare! We then wiped the dishes and tables with an antiseptic, it’s a pity I didn’t take a picture of what color the napkin was after the table. Of the good - a good beach and sunset, reef, ebbs and flows are almost invisible. That alone calms me down. At the same time, the hotel itself is beautiful in architecture, authentic, interesting, but it had to be so… And the swans from the towels are not cleaned, so at least the figures are twisted, the child likes it. Who reads, pass by, do not go here.
We flew from Minsk with the Ukrainian tour operator Join up. We have already been to other budget hotels in Makadi in this price category (Stella, Labranda, Tia), so the cost of Sunwing (the former name of the hotel) at $ 800 per person was fine (everything else was even more expensive, it’s problematic to buy tickets cheaply from Minsk in my opinion ).
As for nutrition, we already knew that it had special features. Although at the moment there are no special problems with food. The buffet is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yes, the choice is not very large, but you will not stay hungry. The main "Egyptian set" is present. The only thing was no porridge. Therefore, if your children do not eat eggs / pancakes / cereal for breakfast, then you need to take instant porridge with you. Well, the coffee was so-so. Good coffee could be ordered in the reception lobby for a fee.
For lunch it was possible (except for the main canteen with a buffet) to go to Italian or grill. There's a menu, but you don't need to book in advance. We often went to Italian, to eat pizza and pasta, we liked it.
Dinner is either a "buffet" in the canteen, or Fino (pre-registration in the restaurant itself from 14:30 to 16), or a la carte German or Mexican. It was still possible to go to Makadi Mall by appointment, but drinks are paid there and we didn’t go there. I liked the Mexican more than the German.
The beach is wonderful, there are plenty of sunbeds. The entrance to the sea and the water itself are magnificent. Lots of fish for the kids. There was one bar on the beach. By the end of our holiday, many tourists arrived and the queue became decent. Perhaps, when the hotel is full, a second bar will be opened (it is also on the beach). You can swim without coral, so the beach is the best thing in this hotel.
The rooms are big. I've been to Egypt 21 times, it was the largest "standard" room, over 50 sq. m. Many people write about dim lighting, yes, I agree, this is observed throughout the hotel. But we only came to the room to sleep and we had enough lighting.
By the way, I was very pleased with the presence of both a bathroom and a shower - you can simultaneously put yourself in order together.
There are two water parks for children and adults. The children's worked like from 10 to 13:30, I could be wrong, because my children went there themselves. Not far from the water park, you could eat pancakes and waffles during the day.
Adult slides opened from 15:00 to 16:00. At the moment, 3 slides out of 5 were working due to the hotel's low workload.
We went for a walk in the direction of Grand Makadi (it has been closed for more than a year, judging by the state of the territory) and in the other direction of the bay, to the Labrand hotel. We took pictures on the territory of the neighboring Makadi Palace hotel - there are very few tourists and a beautiful green area.
Not yet on the territory of Sunving there is a children's entertainment from 17 o'clock - a trampoline and a carousel, also for a fee, like 2-3 euros for 15 minutes of a trampoline.
In the evenings there were animation programs in the sports bar, but we go to bed early.
There is no gym in the hotel. Rather, it is, but empty. My husband and I ran in the morning to Grand Makadi and back for several laps, this replaced fitness.
I’ll also list what the hotel didn’t have at the time of our stay: shampoo (there was only shower gel), all kinds of caps / threads, a kettle and tea accessories (they could bring them on request, but we didn’t need to), there were no toothpicks in the canteen either . Soft drinks in the canteen could only be poured into plastic cups.
Wi-Fi worked only at the reception and was very weak (and not every day), so we bought a local SIM card.
In all our vacation, only one moment was very exciting - this was the PCR test. But this has nothing to do with the hotel.
In general, I really liked the rest, we just took all sorts of household trifles from home. For evening gatherings, we also took board games, smoked sausages and chips with us and had a great time with our family : )
And the Red Sea is just beautiful, especially in this hotel!
, and then there was an empty container), I have never seen such a nightmarish food for 4 times in Egypt.
Next, lunch, it seems like a buffet, BUT if you don’t come at the beginning of lunch, you can stay hungry, for lunch chicken, fish that ended in the first hour, you open the bowl where it says chicken and fish, and there is only pasta or rice, and the most interesting - I ask the chef when more meat will be ready, and they say it's all over. French fries are almost always an empty container, as they cook in very small volumes, you could dine in Italian a la carte, everything is the same, but it’s not clear where the hell is on the menu, for breakfast you can imagine if such a dinner and lunch. Dinner could be in other a la carte, but you need to sign up for the day (everything is the same there). Once again, there are NO snacks, no burgers, no fries (there are fries worth their weight in gold if you get them).
Let's go further, the pools are not heated, everything is icy and shabby, dirty.
The water park included only 2 slides from 15-16, but they were kicked out of the slides already at 15.45, the children were turned on from 10 to 11, but the water was 11 degrees there. The bar on the beach - there was no beer there before lunch (or rather, they stupidly hide it and don’t want to pour), the bartender works there with such a face that it feels like you are asking him for something. Children are very bored there, animation is not at all like children, but it is practically non-existent there. For example, I was vacationing in another hotel, there were evening shows with belly dancing, dancing with skirts, etc. (it was called *show time*, free every evening). In Grand waterworld, this is all for a fee of 11 euros.
The only plus is the sea, a beautiful reef and a normal sunset. Will I come here again - DEFINITELY NO, and I don’t advise others, and believe me, I don’t find fault, I didn’t rest in cool hotels, but only in budget fives, but this is not a hotel, this is a real nightmare. I forgot to add - there is no shampoo, conditioner, etc. in the rooms, only liquid soap in the dispenser on the wall.
There is no kettle, tea, coffee in the room either - they said a paid service. If you have any questions, write to viber, I shot a lot of videos (0992138920).
Killed and old, no greenery (lawn), everywhere killed cracked marble tiles and elevators, elevators, elevators. . .
Cleaning, well, if you can call it cleaning, sweep the room and make the beds, then this is not cleaning.
Beach towels are changed in the evening in the room, which is very inconvenient. Not like in normal hotels on the beach, this is a big minus, especially since I had to call the reception almost every evening and ask to change beach towels.
The food here is full of arctic fox, there is no breakfast, well, almost none, an omelette is taken with a cup from a bucket and an omelet is fried like that. There are no milk porridges, there are big problems with sugar, it doesn’t exist here, or rather it exists, but it’s not sugar, and it’s not in poetry yet, but in some kind of dirty plate, butter ha ha (photo below), and this is quarantine time. Lunches are also not like these, there is no variety. Dinner is only in A la carte restaurants, where you need to sign up in advance, I didn’t eat enough there. The bartenders in the evening upstairs in the bar almost impudently ask for a dollar, she openly offers hashish.
The waiters are all eye-catching, in rumpled and shabby shirts.
The beach is not surprising, there were much better beaches in Egypt.
At the reception, one moron offers a taxi (photo of the moron from below), don’t be fooled, the BREAKER is rare and a swindler, personally verified by me.
For 9 years of holidays in Egypt, and we went a couple of times a year, I saw a few hotels, but I will remember this hotel for a long time . .
NOT RECOMMENDED
The rooms are chic, I have not heard of theft, I hope there is not. There are Russian-speaking accompanying tourists Pasha and Varvara next to the reception - well done guys. There were many Ukrainians with us - like all people are different, Germans, Austrians, Englishmen and 2 families from Belarus. Since Thursday, a lot of Arabs have been coming (up to 80% of all vacationers), but all are very friendly and nice people (maybe I have come across such people).
We left the hotel at 3-40, they offered to buy a dry ration for $ 10 per person (the first hotel in my memory that provides dry rations for money on a paid day), but knowing what they put there, you can very well do without it.
As a tip: buy a card for the Internet (the price from the guide is the same as at the airport), download Uber (the trip to MOLL cost $5 there and $6 back). Don't pay attention to the little things and enjoy your vacation.
We arrived at night, and the hotel has no lights, no staff, the air conditioners are not in the lobby, nor in the room do not work. I haven't seen this yet.
The restaurant is not a buffet, but the menu has 5 positions. And low quality products.
At the lobby, beer and coffee are paid, the rest of the bars simply do not work.
Everywhere there is dirt and gray towels, bed linen is all stained.
We could not be moved to another hotel the first day, so we slept just dressed. The room smelled of sewage, no soap even to wash your hands.
In short, they save on everything and ask for money for everything. Most likely this hotel is bankrupt and just trying to squeeze more money. Therefore, tours to this hotel are so actively offered.
