After reading the reviews of some "well-wishers and positive" people, I decided to still give a sober assessment of the hotel. Rested with my husband in September 2009 (well, better late than never - about the report).
The hotel was chosen by myself. Since we had already rested in Sharm, we decided to visit Hurghada with our visit. Having learned about the small presence of living reefs on the beaches of hotels, the choice of hotels has significantly narrowed. Initially, the eye fell on Zahabia's neighbor - Sunny Days El Palacio 5 *, but there were no more reservations for the dates we wanted, so I started to look closely at Zahabia, especially since the LIVING REEF was located on Zahabia beach!
The price also differed in the direction of minus $400.

Another factor played was the flight from Zaporozhye (a free transfer was provided from Dnepropetrovsk), and not from Kyiv, which is far away for us. As a result, they took Zakhabia for $1000 for two for 8 days ALL. We knew that we were going to 3 *, no one promised mountains of gold, according to the photo from the reviews, the general picture of the hotel was clearly drawn in the imagination.
I will not describe the flight back and forth with Turtesse - everything went well.

ACCOMMODATION: We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon, the settlement went quickly, they gave the keys, assigned a porter and forward with a song. After looking at 4 numbers and taking pity on the poor porter (he rushed around the buildings with us - although we politely offered him to wait for us downstairs with suitcases while we were “running in”, he apparently decided that he still had gunpowder in the powder flasks). Having run (though it is not clear what? ), we returned to the reception (poor porter) deciding that $ 10-15 would save our situation. But no! $ 80 and then we will be accommodated in a room with a kitchen, but even then tomorrow! Somehow I immediately felt overwhelmed and the room, and the kitchen, and the examined rooms seemed quite suitable. As a result, they settled in the 5th building, on the 3rd floor (without offending the marathon runner-porter). Another nuance - when you check in, they take your passports for registration at the hotel, give them to the trail.
day, it is desirable to have photocopies for peace of mind.

NUMBERS: Well, what can I say but the truth? Room for 3-ku with a small minus.
Minuses:
-view from the balcony to the construction site (we didn’t go there anymore, having curtained the window and thinking that it might be like the sea there - just too lazy to open the curtain)
-plumbing is a little "rusty" - but hot water went without interruption, and that's good
-dusty and dirty floor "mat" (which was soon folded by me)
- the refrigerator "softly" did not freeze
Pros:
- normal furniture
- there were no complaints about the air conditioner
- free safe
-TV with 3 channels (we did not fly there for a film festival)
-shampoo, soap, towels were given, changed every day

TERRITORY:
Minuses:
-along the road to the beach on the left is unfinished, on the right is a garbage dump (it is better to walk quickly - in order to save your sense of smell)
Pros:

- green spaces throughout the territory (palm trees, bushes, flowers)
- there are several small shops
- hookah bar (after smoking a hookah and giving 1 pound more than it should be - two workers smiled at me like a good old friend - a trifle, but nice)
- "a couple" of children's swings
For reference: the currency exchange office is located on the territory of the Sunny Days El Palacio 5 * hotel, which is across the road

NUTRITION:
Minuses:
- few fruits, or rather, only dates (but I didn’t care for a meat lover)
-sweet: mostly with the presence of nuts and heavily oversweetened (but this is purely for my taste minus)
Pros:
- the most important - MEAT: chicken, camel meat, fish (yes, for me, fish is also meat)
- pasta, potatoes, eggplant, soups, salads - in general, as in many hotels in Egypt
Yes, I wanted borscht and lard! But I don’t have enough of these products even on business trips, so why shouldn’t I work now? )))

BINGE:
The usual, as in all of Egypt: beer, Jupi, gin, tonic, cola, fanta, white and red wine - all of the above is rare (beer is tolerable), but we didn’t go here to drink.
Therefore, they only quenched their thirst, I “sat down” for a cup of tea.
The bar next to the hotel is open from 10.00 to 23.00. On the beach from 10.00 to 16.30. True, the word BAR on the beach is LOUDLY said - an old window from which a hand holds out what you want

BEACH: the most pleasant!
Minuses:
-old mattresses on sunbeds, but covering them with hotel towels - not everything becomes so bad
Pros:
-two beaches: children's with a sandy gentle entry into the sea and an adult with a reef
- LIVE REEF! ! ! This is a fairytale! About 20 meters long and high - I can’t even say for sure, my husband dived up to 5 meters - he said that the reef goes even further. The presence of a variety of fish is fascinating, you can spend hours watching all this underwater world. They did not enter the water without fins and a mask. Also on the beach, a handsome stingray lives under water! We swam after him more than once.
- there were always enough sunbeds for everyone

Useful tips: it is advisable to have your own fins and a mask, for those who do not have fins - the presence of slippers (for water) is also unfortunate, because a free massage of the feet when entering the water is guaranteed)))

ANIMATION:
I will not describe the pros and cons, I will say briefly - for a C grade with a minus.
- with the presence of the company you can play volleyball
-at 11.00 on the adult beach exercises (I would rather spend it)
- in the evening in the club across the road from the main entrance to the hotel "like entertainment a la and come on girls or guys", the famous Egyptian national dance "Tanura" was performed a couple of times
- national music is played near the pool in the evening

HOLIDAYERS:
60% Slavs - Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, 40% - Arabs
-what was a little unpleasant from “ours”? loud conversations on the beach, mostly from women 50-60 years old, that everything is wrong and everything is not right (or maybe life was not successful? )
-what was a little unpleasant from "not ours"?
the presence of children aged 3 to 5 sitting ON THE TABLE during the general meal, although they were not sitting on my table)))

TOURS:
They decided not to take it from the hotel guide from TO, having written off in advance by “soap” with a street travel agent Irina (a Russian woman who used to live in Perm), who came to the hotel lobby on a call and we discussed everything with her, paid off and were VERY pleased with the excellent experience excursions, saving a decent amount of money, for example: a hotel guide TO a diving day is $ 50, we have $ 25, who is interested in this street travel agent Irina, I can give a phone number when asked, maybe I will find “soap”

In general, I personally liked the hotel very much, despite all the (as for me) small flaws.
I hope my quite adequate review will help in choosing a hotel, the main thing is to know the main goals of the trip!
