After another failed attempt to change Hurghada to Sharm, we accidentally found out that a *stray* appeared in the Sunrise network, or rather, the new Aqua Joy Resort By Sunrise (former Mirage), which should open from December 1.2019, after a complete renovation . I really liked its location and decided to go (based on the fact that Sunrise cannot be bad). The tour was for 2 weeks.

Upon arrival in Hurghada, the transfer guide said that our hotel was still closed. We took this for a specific Egyptian humor. But *humor* he stubbornly and had to believe. When the guide said that the Anex company would not leave us on the street, but would settle us in another hotel, realizing that this was definitely not a joke, we tensed up ...imagining in which ...we could be settled. But when I heard that it would be Sunrise Garden, it was relieved. I was there a little over 2 years ago, and my friends for 2 years about 10 times. Thus, we ended up in Sunrise Garden.


We got to the hotel at 5 pm, settled in 20 minutes.
On the 2nd floor, as we wanted, in the 2nd building. The room was fresher and newer than last time. Let's go to dinner. It was a Thursday and we ended up on a fish day (although to tell the truth, they have fish there and all this topic is good on any day). So...

FOOD: on a scale of 10 to 11, I would say. Chicken, beef, quail, fish, shrimp, squid, crabs. Practically every day. What is important, if it is shrimp or squid, then you do not need to look for them among the mountains of stewed vegetables and still do not understand what. Pure, grilled. Squid whole carcasses. There is a peculiarity in squid that they are often slightly rubbery. So here they were cooked in such a way that they were perfectly soft. I won’t list the side dishes, we didn’t eat them, but there were a lot. Fresh vegetables, the whole list, including greens. Fruits: persimmons, tangerines, oranges, grapes, plums, grapefruits, standard apples, etc. Strawberries are stable 1 time in 2-3 days for lunch and dinner. Sweet table, uh...
what can I say, very beautiful, every cake or pastry is real creativity + delicious. The presentation of the dishes is superb. At breakfast, in addition to standard rolls, puffs, croissants, there were beautiful and, most importantly, unrealistically delicious fruit pies (see photo). The whole set of cereals, cheeses, omelettes and other things was, of course, also.

SERVICE: there was no feeling that they want to pull dollars out of us or something else. All staff are smiling and attentive. Top managers came up several times and asked if they were satisfied.


TERRITORY: very clean, constantly washing something. Lawns, flower beds are cleaned, every flower is well-groomed. In the building, the floors were polished to a mirror shine, I could not resist and took a photo of the floor. As for cleaning the room, we are not fans of putting markers in the corners or under the beds *and did you wash it there? *. Moreover, cleaning was refused several times. I don’t see the point in daily change of linen and cleaning, in a room where only 2 adults sleep.
So for us cleaning was normal.

ENTERTAINMENT: animation is moderately active. They invite you to activities, but they can’t stand the brain. The whole traditional set of events is held. And the best part is that the animators do not ask tourists to write a review, as is the case in many hotels. For this special thanks and respect to the hotel management and animation chief. The hotel has its own disco, but there are very few or no people there. The reason is that 80-90% of vacationers are more than old people. There are few Russian speakers, most of them speak German, there are Poles, Czechs, etc. There are also entertainment for children, I heard that they made pizzas, ice cream and so on.

BEACH: the same as it was (and where can he go : )) Fine sand, wide coastal strip, new sunbeds, sand entrance to the sea, smooth entry, a few meters deep to the waist (unlike neighboring Dana, where people like saints, walked on water, a kilometer deep into the sea).
POOLS: 2 heated (active with slides and relaxation).

A little bit did not like that after 2 days we had to move to another building. We have started renovations. It was a bit of a pain to pack everything. But in fairness, I’ll say that they offered to choose any building we want, including sea view rooms. But we chose the 7th one opposite (overlooking the active pool), so close to the restaurant.

In terms of security: when you leave, they write down your room number and also when you enter. Every car, taxi entering the hotel territory is carefully checked.

A la carte: they enrolled in Mongolian, but as soon as they arrived, they left. Reason: All foods were raw, including sauces and other ingredients. That is, we had to choose what and with what to combine and the chef would cook. Such a quest turned out to be beyond our power, so we went to our restaurant. I liked the Italian. Beautiful presentation and delicious.
We did not go to others because of the excellent food in their restaurant.


In the end, I want to say that Sunrise was good, and now it has become even better, this is very noticeable. We would like a younger and more cheerful contingent, but this does not apply to the hotel. I'm not afraid to say that we were lucky with the resettlement.
