It was strange to read all the negative reviews about this hotel, for the simple reason that they are all absolutely groundless. It felt like we were staying in different hotels. Although, everything, perhaps, is explained by the time of the trip. I was vacationing there at the end of January and the hotel was not fully booked. We were also incredibly lucky with the weather - we sunbathed and swam every day. Now specifically about the hotel. This is a solid four with a plus. It does not quite reach the five, but in general it creates a pleasant impression.
1. Settlement. Settled in a strange way. They led to the room in groups of 5-10 vacationers. If you want a room on the second or third floor, with a view of the sea or the lagoon, put money in your passport upon check-in. Do not put it down - they will settle on the ground floor, which, of course, is not scary, but not entirely pleasant either due to the constant walking of a tourist under your windows. But this situation is observed in absolutely all hotels in Egypt, so there is nothing to be surprised at.
2. Number. Great room, everything worked, the view from the room is fabulous, the sea. Cleaned regularly and well.

3. Beach. The biggest plus of the hotel, especially if you are going to rest in the winter. The hotel has a lagoon located between the buildings, so it is warm and windless all year round. For lovers of snorkeling (snorkeling and watching the underwater world) there is a reef that is located to the left of the lagoon. A lot of fish, very different and extraordinarily beautiful : ) On the beach, by the lagoon, there is a bar, where all the booze plus cocktails.
4. Nutrition. Super. All complaints about food or queues are nonsense. Every day there was fish, chicken, beef, vegetables, fruits, casseroles, omelettes, pancakes, tortillas, pizza and extraordinarily delicious pastries. From fruits - guava, oranges, tangerines, apples, bananas, persimmons, fesalis, etc. On Fridays, the hotel hosts an evening of Egyptian cuisine and culture. They served couscous, baked vegetables and extraordinarily delicious baklava. As for the bar, they offer all local drinks for free, juices from guava, mango, orange from packages are very good. The bartenders make delicious juice cocktails. It was also very pleasant that on the day of departure from the hotel early in the morning we were given a dry breakfast to go, plus we were fed breakfast in the restaurant. In other hotels, even fives, you will not see this.
5. Staff. One word - well done. No arrogance, everyone is friendly and helpful.
6. Animation. There is. Not bad, as it seemed to me, but I'm not a fan of animated entertainment, so I can't judge.
7. City. went to Sakkala - a new city, by taxi for 10 pounds. There are a lot of shops, cafes and tourists.
In general, the hotel is really good. I really enjoyed this holiday and I will be happy to come to El Palacio again!
