Worse was only the hotel "Chernihiv" in 2013...

When we went to Nubia, I certainly did not entertain the illusion that I would end up in a place ala Dolce Vita or Nirvana. The hotel was chosen in haste, on the cheap, not as the main holiday, but with the aim of a little rest. Selected based on photos and reviews. The reviews pleasantly surprised (who wrote them? Did they pay people extra?? ) and we, in the hope that the designated “Five” would justify itself a little, flew to Hurghada.
It was in the second half of September 2017, so Africa met us with heat from the very morning upon arrival. This is where the good news ends.
Check in:

We got to the hotel for an hour and a half, and at 8 we were already at the reception. The hotel employee promised to put bracelets on us at 10 am, check us in later, and before that he offered to take a walk around the hotel. The guests were having breakfast upstairs at this time. We, a group of newcomers, also expressed a desire to have a bite to eat, but the hotel worker was categorically against it ! ! This is the first time I've encountered this. But the verbal skirmish over a bowl of porridge lasted a good half hour. We were offered breakfast (!!! ) to buy! ! For 5 dollars. As a result, we quietly went up to the canteen, and quietly went nuts there....Why? I will write in the column "FOOD".
Territory:
After ahem... breakfast, we still went to the beach. The hotel area is huge. From the reception to the edge of the pantone, from where you can dive into the sea - one and a half kilometers. And this despite the fact that the hotel is on the first line. Several bars, several pools, many palm trees, wide coastline, plenty of umbrellas, typical hotel. Nothing special, plus or minus. We were on vacation - God forbid!
Number:
They settled us at 12 o'clock. The keys were given at the reception, and the Arabs rushed after us with an offer to bring our one for two, by the way, a very comfortable suitcase. We fought back as best we could, and extremely dissatisfied came to the room. Fourth floor, 2230, pool view, close to reception. The room is big! Sleeping area, guest area, balcony. The size of the room is probably why the hotel got five stars. Because the pros are everything. Slippers, bathrobes, bathroom accessories, a kettle, clean (and not two dirty) glasses, tea, coffee were not found in the room. The large room has two bedside lamps.
Cleaning - once every three days.
Safe in the room is free.
Nutrition:
This is my main disappointment.
For breakfast, for which they wanted to steal five dollars from us, they don’t even give oatmeal! Cheese is not cheese, but a cheese product that does not melt even in a microswitch. The meat is inedible.
Of the fruits for all the time there were only green (sooo green !!! ) melon, tart dates and a couple of times green sweetie.
Lunch and dinner are sad. Do you want to list the entire menu? )) Mackerel, chicken in mayonnaise, spicy cutlets, rice, potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, bread, olives, cheese product, boiled zucchini and carrots (like stew), snacks from a strange gruel, raw cabbage. All. Guys, that's all! For lunch and dinner! Same! No, we did not go hungry, but we ate without pleasure. Sweets - a separate conversation. The most delicious is jelly. A couple more types of cakes made from dry biscuit and dubious cream.

From 17:00 to 18:00 donuts (6 per person) and a scoop of ice cream are distributed near the main building.
Ice cream is normal. It's for dessert in a la carte restaurants. Italian and Chinese. Although it is more correct to say ALA restaurants.
For we first came to Italian (by appointment, of course). There were bottles of wine (props) on the tables, they gave a menu with a bunch of paid items and a few free ones. We got ready to place an order, but it turned out that out of everything written on the menu, there was one item each. And the same food as at the top, in the main restaurant.
Hoping for a change, we stepped on the same rake again and stomped into the Chinese. It was even worse there. Not only did the menu turn out to be non-working (we were already ready for this), but it took a total of two hours to wait for the dishes to be taken out, but the dishes themselves....Tasteless (without exaggeration! Well, just cotton wool! ) chicken, very spicy type of Chinese soup, in which a couple of pieces of mushrooms float, more like a bowl of sunflower oil, and my favorite! A culinary masterpiece! Snack! Springrolls! How do you imagine them? Forget! Nubia will surprise you! So... these are deep-fried pancakes stuffed with stewed cabbage on a pillow of raw white cabbage, well, and a plate of ketchup! Ales. After this dinner we went to the main restaurant. There are cucumbers.
The drinks:
You probably expect that there will be fresh juices in the "five"? Alas! And three ha ha! This is not about Nubia. Instant coffee, and the feeling that one teaspoon was poured into five liters of liquid. Hibiscus sour constantly. Yupi mango and orange. Wine, beer and, if they are presented at all, cocktails at the bar, we did not dare to try. Absolutely non-alcoholic holiday turned out)) But I'm happy.

With water in the hotel tension. Each person is entitled to one bottle of water without gases with a volume of 0.6 liters per day. In some places there are water coolers, but it stinks in them just like tap water. I suspect that it is in the bottles. Other water can be bought, also for a couple of dollars, as agreed.
The glasses are broken.
Cups and plates too.
The dishes were not washed well.
Plastic teaspoons.
On the main building there is an ad “strawberry / mango + orange juices for 1 dollar”, we read it and were delighted - the longing for fruits came to the capital. We went to the bar. We were told that the fresh will be made in Lobi. We went to Lobi. They said there were no fries. We came back to the bar, they told us that they would do it in the lobby, but only orange. The bartender went with us. Pulled out a dusty juicer in the lobby and said he'd make orange juice for $2. No, I don’t feel sorry for the money I wanted, but I already got enough of this pseudo-five, and we left.
Animation:
She is not. Simply no. For a week of rest, I never saw a single animator, although we spent all the time outside the room.
Gym:
He is. It doesn't have a barbell, but it does have some universal machines, and a few dumbbells, even cardio gear! But! You won't be able to run or pedal! After all, there is no electricity in the hall !!!! ! I would forgive them for the lack of air conditioning, but a non-working orbitrek is too much.
Swimming pool:
There are several pools: 3 adults, 2 children and with slides. But they clean them one at a time, once a week. Their water is green. Sunbeds are always enough. But there is no desire to lie near the dubious water.
Sea beach:
The beach is wide. There are many sunbeds under the "mushrooms", but all lie on the pantone, because the sea is low in the first half of the day, and in the second - very shallow.
There are three descents on the pantone - to different depths. Rugs are not on every step. I saw people slip and fall.

By the way, the bar is located on the beach, in the bar you can take a glass of water, only you have to stomp to the beach along the pantone for minutes 5) The Red Sea is the main advantage of Egypt, but in Nubia it flies with it - only dead corals and a few fish - like a cat cried (((In short, we did not see the expected beauty of the underwater world ((Although the sea was warm, almost clean (especially a lot of dirt on the other side of the pantone, and after dinner you can find packages of chips, and once from mayonnaise) .
On the way to the beach, you can go to the mini-zoo (sheep, goats, parrots, chickens, turkeys and a family of macaques - the main mimimi of the hotel).
Staff:
I already told about the incident at the reception.
In general, the guys are very annoying.
The only ones to whom there are no complaints are the waiters! These guys are really doing their best! Dirty dishes don't stay on the tables! They try so hard that you even forgive the canteen for the lack of napkins, toothpicks, well-washed cutlery, and sometimes salt and pepper.
Contingent:
Arabs, Chinese, Europeans.
The first even eat in a separate room.
A lot of Ukrainians. Didn't even expect it! Belarusians and Russians are much less. There are almost no English and Germans.
From separate:
The hotel has a terrible stench. Especially in the toilets. There is no toilet paper. Washed out badly. Come in, sorry, pee is fraught with vomiting.
The stench near the canteen and in the canteen is unbearable.
In the evenings they poison insects, the balcony cannot be opened.
Tour operator:
At the border, we were ripped off for 27 dollars for a visa, instead of the promised 25. On our “it’s written that the visa is 25! ” we were thrown passports, saying "if you don't want, don't. " I had to pay.
Thanks to TPG and for the guide - Mina Atif - rude and unprofessional. My husband went to meet him. As usual, he hovered over excursions, ignored questions, did not want to immediately accept the questionnaire. And when we refused the porter on the first day, he shouted after us “what the hell! ”.
Departure from the hotel 3.5 hours before departure.
At 2.20 am.
Hurghada:
We drove to the city. They threw us there - $ 4 for two.
Back - a dollar for everything in a taxi.

In Hurghada you will see the eerie flavor of Egypt, but most importantly: you can buy fruit! Mangoes are simply amazing! And not what is sold in our markets (((The price is also pleasant: a dollar per kilogram. It’s a pity that we went to the city on the last day, so we would have bought some fruit for ourselves, and lived on them, and not on spoiled food in broken dishes .
