Just got back from Egypt. Were for the first time. The hotel was chosen for a long time and very meticulously. I didn’t want the impressions of the rest (besides, we were on a honeymoon trip) to be overshadowed by squabbles with the staff or something else. Mercury fascinated us immediately, after looking at the photos and reading numerous reviews, we just fell in love with this hotel! AND DON'T HAVE ANY REGRET!!!
So, in order.
1. The flight is terrible. Never fly with Ural Airlines!!! ! The cabin is very crowded and uncomfortable, the service is bad, the food is disgusting!
2. Meeting at the airport. Despite the fact that we have repeatedly read about where to buy a visa for $ 15, we still bought it for $ 17 : -) We didn’t figure out where to go and who to ask. As for the rest, they met us well, the representatives of AnexTour were very polite and friendly, however, like everyone else we had to meet during our vacation.
3. Settlement. Check in was fast even though we arrived at the hotel around 8 am. True, at first they gave us a room in building 1800 (I don’t remember the name), overlooking the construction site : -) But, having learned that we were newlyweds and having received a small reward ($ 15), we were settled in Sagittarius. The building is perfectly located in the very center of the hotel - everything is nearby: the pool, restaurants, the sea... In general, we were satisfied.
4. Number. Very good!! ! Clean, comfortable, beautiful. The furniture is not new, but neat. Everything is working. Cleaned every day, towels changed every day. In gratitude for the cleanliness, a tip was almost always left. By the way, the absence of a tip did not affect the cleanliness in any way, they were specially checked : -) There are no insects!
5. Territory. Large, well-kept area. Very beautiful hotel!!!
6. Nutrition. To say it's delicious is an understatement!! ! The food there is simply divine! Breakfast - I won't lie, breakfast is the same every day. But, for breakfast, there are so many dishes that we have never had the same breakfast in a week! Lunch - likewise - amazingly delicious! For lunch, most of the dishes are repeated every day, but every day there is something new. Dinner - every day is different, according to the theme of the day. Meat, fish, poultry - everything is in abundance. We ate to satiety)))) I just really wanted to try everything))) And what sweets they make....mmmm!! ! We have never experienced anything like this in our lives. Alcohol is quite tolerable. Cocktails are especially tasty in Azur Bar. On the beach and by the pool, cocktails are not prepared - ingredients are simply mixed there. Therefore, almost always tried to take cocktails in Azura. The club also has a very good bartender!
7. Animation. Great guys!! ! Very funny! Well done! Anya, Andrey, Zigi, Marley, Mamadou and many more. others - many thanks to them !!! ! Always entertained and help in everything! Themed events were held every evening in the hotel. The evenings were never boring!
8. Staff. That's what we were most happy about, it's the fact that 80% of the staff speak Russian!! ! There were absolutely no problems in communication (we know English very poorly)!! ! Everyone is very welcoming, friendly, we were constantly asked how we were doing, if everything was in order, if we liked everything, if we had any problems. In general, we did not even expect such a good attitude!
9. Beach. Unmatched! Big, clean, entry into the sea - sand! Lots of sun loungers, never occupied at 6 am, as they do in many hotels. They usually went to the beach after lunch, there were always places. The same goes for the pool. Towels and sunbeds are always available : -)
10. Contingent. There are few Russians. This pleases : -) There were no "glutted" compatriots for whom it would be a shame. A lot of foreigners. Many vacation with children.
If you are reading this review and you are still in doubt whether to go to Mercury or not - drop all doubts! Mercury is simply heaven on earth! Checked!
