We have heard a lot of positive things about Mercure Hurghada 4 * from our friends for a long time, and so we also visited this hotel. We arrived at the hotel by 9 in the morning, filled out the cards and waited until 10 until the bracelets were put on. By 11 they said the room would be ready, we found out what number it would be and my husband and I went to see it. It was on the 3rd floor and with a small balcony, which did not suit us in the request when booking, which we said and we were given another more spacious room.
During the rest period, we had a wedding anniversary, they brought us a cake and fruit, for which special thanks.
The room was cleaned every day, but detergents were not always added. Towels were changed only when you left them on the floor, for some reason the bed was not changed for 10 days even once (.

The territory of the hotel is well-groomed and compact. The occupancy of the hotel was said to be 96%, so the sunbeds on the beach were in short supply, you had to come before 8 o'clock to take a seat. The water is still cold in April. Few people bathed. The breeze was constantly blowing, one evening there was a thunderstorm and it rained for about 15 minutes. The staff quickly responded, dispersed the water on the floor, and in the main restaurant, where water dripped, they even spread a path. The animation is good - 10 guys entertained tourists from 10 am until late at night. There were interesting shows. And the children's animator and the beach and the restaurant with the children constantly rushed about, the children were delighted.
The food is varied and delicious. Nothing happened for 10 days. Strong (30%) alcoholic drinks are not very good, but sometimes worse). Delicious tomato juice in bars. The main restaurant has only 3 types of wine in a barrel and soft drinks, for other strong ones you need to go to the bar. In the evenings, we liked themed sweet dishes (Pavlova dessert, three milks, etc. ) with a beautiful presentation. There was an interesting show of chefs from all hotels, where beautiful dishes were presented for the competition. Another afternoon there was a cooking show where tourists cooked.
Snack was pizza, hamburger, hot dog and ice cream. Everything edible except hot dogs.
It was a little annoying that at 8 in the morning it was already necessary to look for sunbeds on the beach, and at 9 everyone was already busy, although you looked, and the neighbors never showed up for dinner (.
We went on an excursion with the local travel agency of Mustafa Elvani to Luxor, it cost 25 USD. with all entrance tickets, only on request there was an additional banana island + 10 c. u. (nothing interesting). An exhausting trip, but an educational one.
Free wi-fi was only at the reception, but very weak -

Mercury is a hotel that you want to return to, only, as for me, there is not enough children's water park, otherwise I would have come with my daughter.
But our holiday with my husband went perfectly, for which everyone (and especially him) thanks.
