In October 2008 we went on holiday to Hurghada.
I won’t say that we chose a hotel for a long time - we were just waiting for last-minute offers. (I, as a tourism manager, had complete, and most importantly, up-to-date information on the release of special offers).
When the burning ones fell on the Golden Five complex, we booked this option without hesitation.
Of course there were some questions which of the hotels to choose.
We stopped at Emerald 5 * (I don’t remember why now).
And they didn't regret it!
According to the Golden Five concept, each hotel has two bars: paid and free, two restaurants (paid and free). You can visit all restaurants and bars of all hotels. The only restriction - if you go to have lunch or dinner in someone else's restaurant - go half an hour later than the opening: other people's guests are not allowed in earlier - so that they have time to eat.
In the rest - the whole territory is YOURS!
And the whole kilometer beach is also YOURS.
By hotels:
Emerald 5 * - liked the most. Since it has the newest numbers. To the sea 100m.
And close to the center of the complex.
Paradise 5 * - the best restaurant in my opinion, there are "singing fountains" nearby, a good bar by the pool, of course you need to walk to the sea ...but it's not far.
Al Mas Palace 5 * - closest to the sea, but farthest from civilization. Somehow it is very isolated. You can say on the outskirts (but this is a personal opinion)
Diamonds 5 * - there are two types of buildings (barn and good ones), sheds are located in the second row (farther from the sea).
Club 4* - for economy people. Far from the sea. But before the exit from the territory of the complex is within easy reach. And "singing fountains" side by side.
The territory of the complex in my opinion is bald.
Lots of people on the beach.
But for some reason, everyone is concentrated near the lagoon (they go in for windsurfing - I also tried it - CLASS! ) - if you go a little further, the beach is completely empty and there are a lot of free sunbeds.
Slides are like slides - only some joints are poorly made.
From the negative - as always, there are a lot of ours, and not just ours - but our drunks (not very pleasant).
In general, the rest was satisfied.
I advise you to go there.
