We stayed at the hotel in late September - early October 2014, the overall impression is good. Before leaving, they read the reviews and it was scary to go, but everything was already paid for. I'll start over. Check-in went quickly, while our documents were being processed at the reception, everyone was offered a glass of cool juice (which was very handy). We got a room in Diamonde 3, the room is clean, comfortable, the furniture is not new, but intact, the safe worked properly, was attached to the wall. Bedding, towels are clean, the bathroom is also clean, the room was cleaned every day, towels were changed (although we didn’t throw them on the floor and didn’t leave a tip), taps, sink, toilet bowl were cleaned every day. I generally noticed (it’s not the first time I’m resting in Egypt) if you don’t leave a tip for the cleaner, then he somehow cleans more diligently, probably afraid of complaints (you can leave either a tip or a complaint on the day of departure - as you deserve). There were no animals in the room.
The territory of the hotel is clean, well-groomed, of course there are broken tiles in some places, but there are more of them in the hometown. We really liked the water park. At first, there were almost no locals at all. The sea and the beach are very good. The food is normal, but probably for meat-eaters it would not be enough meat. Our child did not go hungry, and neither did we. The squids on the beach and in the water park were delicious.
We managed to get into 4 a la carte restaurants: Italian self-service, German, Indian and Mediterranean. I really liked it, except for the German one - the waiter service there was terrible, the dishes were not cleaned on time, we didn’t wait for dessert at all and left. Most of all I liked the restaurants of Indian cuisine and the Mediterranean (both dishes and service are top notch).

So the overall impression of the rest is excellent. During excursions, no one drove us past the markets, and we went to the airport immediately from the hotel. Probably it all depends on the tour operator - we rested from the memo of the tour.
