I must say right away that I rested in Egypt seven times. Rested in 4.5 and 3 star hotels. There is something to compare. But the hotel El Samaka just unpleasantly surprised. Most of the tourists who flew with me simply asked the guide to change to another hotel with a surcharge. People were leaving this hotel in shock. For a surcharge of $ 25 per day per person, tourists got the opportunity to change this hotel to a good one. I’ll tell you right away about the disadvantages of the El Samaka hotel. Everything is very dirty and unkempt. The dining room is in urgent need of renovation. Dirty chairs and tables. The walls are shabby and dirty. The furniture is terrible. Food is a whole other issue. Very limited selection and tasty food. Powdered juices are also a luxury. Often there was just water instead of juices (besides an unpleasant aftertaste). There was vodka, rum and gin, but of such disgusting quality that it was simply surprising. By comparison, I rested in another three-star hotel FESTIVAL SHEDWAN GOLDEN BEACH RESORT 3 * so there alcoholic drinks, food and service were much better. At El Samaka the wine was an extra charge. Beer "Luxor" in bottles was normal, but it was given very little and it constantly ended (sometimes never started).
The area of the hotel is good. This is the first line and from the window you can have a beautiful view of the sea and the pool at the same time. But again, there are a lot of plastic dishes in the sea and the beach is unkempt. The sun loungers are old (they were being painted), the umbrellas are made from dry palm leaves.
There are usually few tourists. Poor animators are trying to somehow brighten up this dull environment, but there is no one to work with. They gather for water aerobics for 4 people. A lot of Arab families have a rest. They do not participate in animation. The only thing that I really liked was the 3 hour show, which is held once a week. It was a show with cobras (really great, I have not seen this even in expensive 5 star hotels) and traditional belly dances and a fakir show. I will also say that the hotel is well located and there is an endless chain of shops and cafes on both sides of it. It helped to have a good time. Sometimes we went to the territory of the neighboring Grand Hotel and just admired its territory and evening shows.

Now a small renovation is starting on the territory of the hotel and the owner of the hotel promised to make a complete renovation of the entire hotel in the near future. Of course, if he does this, then he will return the hotel to its former glory (because 5 years ago it was a good hotel). I would like to hope that Mr. Ali will be able to perform a miracle and resurrect the hotel. But so far this is a very low level.
