Rested as a family with a child 6 years.
All staff is very friendly and respectful, fluent in English, responds quickly to any request.
Arrived at the hotel in the morning, quickly settled without surcharges. Clean normally.
There are 2 restaurants, bars: by the pool, on the beach. They cook deliciously, they eat fish, chicken, beef, they try to cook meat in different ways every time: grill, cutlets, bake, batter, nuggets, stew in different sauces. Side dishes: potatoes, rice, pasta, vegetables, legumes. Fruits: melon, guava, pomegranate, oranges, fruit payments. Sweets, as everywhere in Egypt. Alcohol in the restaurant: wine and beer. Coffee in the restaurant is instant, tea in bags. The bars have coffee machines, from 10.00 you can drink coffee. From 15:00 to 17:00 in the pool bar - ice cream, only for children.
The beach is big, the sunbeds are old, there is enough space for everyone, even those who like to sleep. Entrance to the sea only from the pontoon, with small children will be uncomfortable, who swims - great. The reef is good, there are a lot of fish.
Animation - four people, they will entertain the children, and will charge, and in the evening a fire show will be arranged. Well done. A small but dedicated team.
In the evening you can use the transfer to the city, there is a market: souvenirs, pharmacies, cafes. You must register in advance.
Wi-fi is said to exist, even a password is given, but it is not, do not look for and do not wait, the Internet should be taken care of in advance.
Overall, a hotel with a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The territory of the hotel is nice and green, in the photos it turns out even better than in reality. But you need to pay for the greenery, as it is watered with some kind of chemistry or feces, and you need to walk around the territory on the exhale, as there is a pungent smell.
During our vacation, about 70% of the covers were changed to umbrellas, the old covers were thrown into piles, so they lay before our departure, the sticks were carried by the wind along the beach and crippled the legs of the vacationers. The sun loungers are old wooden (since the opening of the hotel), broken. You need to take this happiness at 6 in the morning, otherwise a towel on the sand will be a place under the sun. Many vacationers who did not have enough sun loungers went into the shade under wild palm trees, where they sunbathed lying on the ground. There are also new towels, new short ones and old, holey rags. New for $1 or chocolate, rags for everyone else. It's all run by the "Towel Kings" who have enough race for more than one kingdom. The beach in the kingdom is not cleaned, the sand is not raked.
The sea. . . Without buoys, with simply fantastic views, there are coral walls up to 50% alive and reefs, small fish, most of all near the pontoon (the coral does not look like on the YouTube video, it is muddy and discolored). For swimmers, a paradise, they swam to the rocks, to the cape (it was not possible to go on land, coral and grass up to 30-40 cm are everywhere), the further you swim, the less interesting the coral, the fish in flocks and a lot of garbage in the water. We swam for palm trees to the cape, the same situation, but once there we saw two dolphins 2 meters from us. Along the coast, where wild palm trees grow, there is a lot of garbage, which is removed only by vacationers who are disgusted to walk among this mud. From the pontoon to the right and left up to 300 m the most interesting coral. Caravans of camels and horses go along the sea, which brings an unforgettable zest to the rest. Unfortunately, with the wind (and he is a frequent visitor), all the garbage from Dahab is carried by sea. Each time during the swims, they collected bags, glasses, cellophane, rags, Trash. . . The locals are killing the Red Sea. . .
I won’t repeat about the food and the restaurant, the food is a solid 4, I just want to note that with such a load on the hotel, the staff coped perfectly, dirty dishes were instantly taken away, tables were cleaned, the plates were always steamed and hot, and they were always available. Food replenished quickly. Unfortunately, up to 20% of crockery was broken. . . The waiters offered and delivered wine and beer. And this is in a 3+ hotel, a paradox.
The staff is generally good, the bartenders were not always in the mood, but the work was done quickly. Room cleaning was carried out with washing floors, making beds, washing sinks and toilets and changing towels. For 11 nights, only the sheets were changed from the bed...
3 times, starting from 17:00, free buses run to Dahab. If you are missing something in the hotel with fruits or sweets, or if you want to eat seafood, then please go to Dahab. Buses by appointment, at 7 am at the reception again in line.
Animation during the day is active, but not intrusive, every evening some kind of entertainment program: belly dance, skirt dance (tanura), fakir show and fire show, violin.
The hotel is full of paradoxes. In some ways, even 5 is better, and in some ways it is not up to 3. At a low price, if you adapt to the realities of the hotel, close your eyes to many things and abstract, then you can relax once.
In general, I liked the hotel. It takes 1-1.3 hours to drive from Sharm, it all depends on the road circumstances and the expectation of convoy escort, but time flies by, the road is good, between the mountains, so time flies by while admiring the mountain beauties.
Dahab is 15-20 minutes away, in the evening there is a free bus by appointment (3 flights) or you can order a taxi ($ 8 per car).
A beautiful place at the foot of the mountains and the sea (1 line). A fairly large private beach, 4 swimming pools (sorry not heated), there are slides. Beautiful landscaped area.
The check-in was slightly delayed, this is more likely due to the fact that a lot of us arrived at the same time (2 large buses, like). In general, the entire rather small reception was occupied with people and luggage. We arrived at about 11, check-in from 14, but you could change clothes and go to the beach. The bracelets were fastened earlier around 12-12.30, we were settled at about 13.30. The hotel itself consists of separate houses-buildings. There are 2-storey houses with repair, there are still without. All rooms are quite spacious, with air conditioning, hair dryer, safe, small refrigerator and TV (who even needs it? ), no kettles, no irons. There are family double rooms. On the territory of a spa, a gym, like billiards, and a children's area. The Internet is only at the reception by the hour, it works like God puts it on the soul (the guys there are obviously doing something chemical))))
At our request (at no extra charge), we were settled on the 1st floor with a small terrace, though almost at the other end from the sea (building 3) and the room has not yet been restored, but surprisingly clean, everything worked fine and everything is in pretty good condition, at least nothing not broken and the safe worked without problems and air conditioning, normal beds good mattresses (at first we thought to try to change closer, but then we even liked it, calm, quiet, behind the mountain house). Probably someone "unfastened" for the best accommodation (although sometimes it seems to me that this is the best was not quite the same) There are 2 dining restaurants in the hotel)) everyone also has an open area with tables, you can use anyone.
The food is not super varied, but quite tasty, there was always fish, chicken, beef, sausages (the only thing that is not very edible for me), stewed vegetables, rice, potatoes, pasta, sweets, fruits... in general, you can’t list everything, you’re definitely hungry nobody could stay. The staff worked quickly, especially considering such an influx, there were enough dishes, always clean, even hot. The dishes were also cleared from the table very quickly. Everyone tried. At lunch and dinner, they poured and poured alcohol))) the guys-waiters... also quite quickly))).
Beer, wine (local), cola, fanta, sprite, tea, coffee, juice (maybe slightly diluted but normal is not worse than in bags). At the bars, cappuccino and espresso and instant coffee, whoever likes what, and of course beer and cocktails were made with vodka, tequila, rum, and I don’t even remember what else was there (I’m not judging by alcohol, so I won’t judge the quality, I was beaten at the request without alcohol, but I tried the beer, it’s good) though the cups are small standard disposable ones.
The beach is large but with the influx of people there was a problem with sunbeds. I had to borrow at dawn)) closer to our departure, the replacement of old umbrellas with new ones began. I think a little time and everything will be very good there. Towels on the cards handed over the towel returned the card... we were always given good ones but some complained. The sea is super, corals, so the entrance is from the pontoon, but on the right side of the pontoon itself there is a clean strip without corals and you could carefully enter from the shore (but you still need slippers) and carefully. sometimes you could see stone fish at the bottom. Beautiful fish, even if you don’t swim far, so the mask will make you happy)))
The animation is unobtrusive, a little exercise in the morning, a warm-up such as dancing, volleyball, darts, bocha, yoga, aqua aerobics in the pool, some programs in the evening. Children's disco mini-disco. Of the programs, I especially liked the fire show (Jamaica is well done, a very versatile guy ; ) ) and the violin.
Cleaning. Like it was every day. Someone complained, but it was always clean in our room and on the terrace, there was always a pleasant smell of detergents, if they left something, then also flowers with figurines)))). towels changed, bed 2-3 times, too. Near some of the rooms closer to the beach and the reception, people complained about the smell when watering the area, we were lucky in this regard, we didn’t smell))) probably the wind was not blowing in our direction.
There are a lot of cats in the hotel. Well, as in Egypt and without seals. We love cats, we had no problems, the kittens were clean (again, surprisingly) we watched them with pleasure and played; ) they were very funny. By the way, almost around the hotel there is a road along which quadrics ride on their way to the mountains on excursions, so in some parts of the hotel it can be quite noisy in the morning))).
Let me tell you again about the staff. If people are not treated as servants, then they will behave with you accordingly, and this is normal. They are friendly, attentive and despite the fact that they are bad (from the word at all) with the Russian language))) they try to understand, prompt and resolve issues. But they have + they learn quickly.
We didn’t have any problems during check out, the flight was delayed, but anyway it was until 12 (standard check out time) so everything was fine with us. The day before, the flight was delayed by people for almost a day, it seems that there were some questions about food after 12, but everything must be decided with the tour operator then.
In general, I liked it, we did not have any problems with either the staff or food, or anything else.
I would like to thank everyone for their work.
If you just want to relax without spreading your fingers like a fan for a reasonable price, admire the mountains, fish, some local flavor, then I recommend the hotel. She would have returned.
Let me summarize.
Pros: Sea, nature, calm environment, well-groomed, tidy territory, pools with slides for children and adults, friendly staff. Pretty tasty food without issuing a gram (as they say in other hotels, even 5 stars). Unobtrusive entertainment.
Cons: Internet; the number of rooms in need of repair, and by the way I didn’t write, but the bar on the beach would also be updated); cold pools (you don’t really want to swim in them.
There are no restrictive buoys in the sea, you can swim wherever you want and as much as you want, on the right side of the mountain (2.8 km), there are underwater caves, but this is already for professionals, on the right if you swim to the third palm trees (2 km), there are opportunity to see stingrays and turtles. I liked horseback riding, pockmarked Selma, dark chestnut Shakira ($20 about 30-45 min), quad biking ($20 up to 2 hours). Diving in the center at the hotel $ 65 for 30 minutes with an instructor, he fully accompanies you throughout the swim (instruction and communication in English).
For those who travel with children, the entrance to the sea from the shore in two places between the corals, protective shoes are a must, as you can step on a small hedgehog or fish, immediately deep from the pontoon (about 3-4 meters). Without a mask, you will be bored swimming, you will not see the most interesting things for which they come here.
A trip to the city: at the reception you can sign up for a transfer to the city. Or by taxi $ 6-8 (it was more convenient for me by taxi, you are not tied to time and place) It is better to go to the city after 15:00, where all the restaurants are just starting to prepare for visitors, lay out the daily catch in front of the restaurant itself, which then you and will cook. You can have a good and tasty meal for $30 (the portions are large, and if there is leftover, you will be wrapped up with you).
Dahab itself is a diving and windsurfing center. This is the place where you can fully relax.
The sea is cool, the wind is constant, reefs and fish with a mask can be seen different, if not tide.
Rooms - so-so, keep in mind the wind blows dust from the rocks, cleaned every day but just smeared on the floor-tile, cleaned by pouring water from a bottle with something smelly, then the tile is dry but slippery. the bed is changed, clean not new but normal, towels - white. not snow tolerant.
pools - 4 pieces, 1st almost no one is sitting, 2nd with Jacuzzi and bar, constantly people, but cold pool, 3rd warm with slides.
4th deep 1.6-1.8 m with bar. All this is blown away by the wind.
The beach (with a bar, take glasses with you, there are disposable 100 gr. Plastic) seems to be big but you constantly do not have time to take a deck chair, stupidly few of them, there is a lot of space to deliver mushrooms and you can add deck chairs. as well as by the pools - you need to strive to occupy. The sun at 15-15.
30 is hiding behind a rock and it's already cool. So agrees October, maybe summer is better.
The food is normal and along with the sea and reefs pulls this hotel.
Far from the shops, the stalls are not reception, the prices are sky-high, quads 25 bucks, scuba diving 67 bucks, three times a day you can go to the dahab for free, you need to sign up at the reception at 8 am.
Reception ...it's generally, as they said upon arrival - maybe even better ...the administrator is weak in English, because a lot of people do not know it ...
I do not recommend the hotel.
Suddenly I do not want to go there and I will not go.
The rating was overtaken by scuba divers who dive there.
Territory: well-groomed, compact and clean. I also liked the fact that the territory is flat, without descents and ascents, and in the heat of +40 it's good). There are 3 pools - one with hydromassage, the second with slides, and the third - deep for adults, next to which there is a bar. There is a hall with tennis and billiards. Rooms are located in two-story buildings. There is a diving center on the territory. To the side is a piece of territory that is still under construction. Beautiful view of the mountains.
Rooms: we had a good one, on the second floor, with a sea view. Cleaned up every day. Air-conditioned room with a fridge, balcony and safe.
Meals: In general, decent and varied. A varied selection of sweets, fruits, there were always 2 types to choose from, European cuisine. Wine and beer for lunch and dinner.
Sea and beach: the sea is clean, warm and interesting. There is a pontoon and a coral reef along the whole territory of the hotel.
In general, I liked the rest. There are pros and cons. If you want to learn more about the nuances of the hotel, you can watch our short film. Link to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=mfDygQR2SLQ
Good cuisine, excellent coral reef, very large room, calm, comfortable. Extremely attentive staff: special thanks to the administrator Bassam, who always went forward and helped.
I like it. I recommend.
Accordingly, in the hotel we had to deal with all the affairs ourselves and "on the go. " Therefore, I give a brief orientation to the hotel for you:
There are 2 restaurants in the hotel. One is designed for breakfasts and dinners - very tasty dinners, the other accepts lunches, and lunches, by the way, are excellent. They are nearby.
The kitchen is very pleased: pastries (buns, pancakes, apple pies), yoghurts (mix yellow with green or pink), beef and fish (surprisingly good and varied), pasta (lunch dish - cooked with soul) - this is a must try.
There are a lot of pools on the territory of the hotel - it's great in hot weather, because there is no crowding. There is also tennis and billiards. And also a completely unique beach with a very comfortable and short pontoon - just a few steps and here you have two stairs to the sea. Put on the mask right away (by the way, we also bought a mask from Alex for 8 valves - you can breathe in it with both your mouth and nose - very comfortable), because there are already a lot of fish even near the stairs - they calmly ply and watch us.
Someone dives with scuba gear, but we swam with a mask - both to the left and to the right of the pontoon - coastal beautiful coral reefs stretch, but if you swim straight into the sea - there is depth.
Towels are issued on the beach and brought to the mattresses of your choice. And so you lie down on them facing the sea and the “movie of cruising camels” begins for the whole day. In the first half of the day, camels go from left to right - that is, from the desert to the mountains, and at dusk they return back. Camels against the backdrop of the sea - that still psycho unloading. By the way, all well-groomed, odorless and very friendly!
Also on the beach there is an institution with carpets on the sand, where you can smoke a hookah. Separately, they did not advertise this option to us - we ourselves asked about such an opportunity in a beach restaurant and it turned out that the hookah worker works here and there.
It's also great that every day you can go to Dahab itself - free buses run at 18.30 and 21.
30 directly from the hotel, in Dahab you have 2 hours. And here is an important point! Because the bus is free - it does not wait, so it starts from Dahab to the hotel exactly on schedule. Pay attention to it when you sign up for the bus at the reception.
In Dahab, you can book a tour and shop. The street where the bus brings goes to the sea and creeps along it with shops and restaurants. There are a lot of locals, they create the effect of complete immersion. It can be seen that this place is not only for tourists, but also for their own) Also, for excursions, you can just go to the reception, so we rode a boat with a transparent bottom.
The hotel and rooms are really clean, the staff is easy to contact. Regarding animation and games - everything is easy and not intrusive and not too loud. In general, the hotel is about relaxing and enjoying the natural ethnic beauty!
Cleaning every day (although I don't need it - don't live like pigs and you will be clean). The occupancy of the hotel was 30%. Almost only Europeans (Germans, Czechs, Poles, our brothers Slavs began to appear before departure) with loud neighing, and full plates of food. There are no queues in the cafe. The beach has red sand. Shoes are not needed - entering the sea from a pontoon - next to a coral reef - a lot of fish. Everyone found shells - but you can’t take out large ones, they left them... Sunbeds, mattresses, towels. Coffee, beer. Hire of fin masks, scuba gear.
I would recommend: a) calm couples b) romantics - in love with) extreme people - youth (you can dive, you can ride ATVs, climb mountains) the hotel is guarded from all sides. Near the village of Bedouins with camels.
The only negative is the guide from Joyne up. He was never seen. Through another guide, they called him - they asked for an excursion to the monastery of St. Catherine (near Mount Moses - they were last year, but the monastery was a glimpse). So the guide offered us an INDIVIDUAL tour (at the price you imagine). At the reception - also offered individual tours. In the evening, we took a hotel bus to Dahab in 15 minutes, went to the local excursion bureau and Russian-English-Arabic (I know 40-50 words) and, using jargon and gestures of the deaf-mutes, agreed on an excursion 2.5 times two and a half times cheaper, on two 60 dollars. Departure at 7 am (we took rations) and returned by 2 pm. Busik for 6 people.
If you go in winter - the monastery is at the foot of the Sitnai mountains - a very strong wind. In the monastery, pay attention to the "museum of the book" - for the Orthodox 3 dollars or 40 pounds. Books, manuscripts, icons from the 4th century. I was struck by the icon of the Apostle Peter (6th century). Unlike traditional and equestrian painting with eyes rolled under the forehead - live bangs, our contemporary - look on the Internet).
One word for this hotel - CLEAN. I did not see a single cigarette butt on the street and on the beach. It is clear that this is subjective... Therefore, if you are not used to 5 towels in a room with a change twice a day, to silver dessert spoons - you can safely go here. By the way, the food was good (I liked the soup with shrimp, but the mussels are so-so). Last but not least, the hotel is generally English-speaking. So learn the language, gentlemen! Success.
