We wanted to relax away from civilization, closer to nature and not very expensive. At the same time - visit Cairo, see the pyramids. We chose Dahab and Happy Life Village. Reading the reviews, we were ready to settle in a room near a buzzing construction site with a view of it, a dirty beach with smelly camels and stray dogs, a lack of understanding of staff who do not know Russian, poor cleaning in the room... But we were attracted by fish and corals and that's all other pluses of the hotel.
As a result, everything turned out better than we expected. I must say right away - the price of the hotel corresponds to the quality - a good three stars plus. Those who want to wash several times a day paths on the territory, a la carte restaurants and a pillow menu - not here; . The overall impression is very positive. We had a wonderful rest and, we think, we will return to Happy Life Village one more time someday.
I'll start with what, more or less, I liked.

There was a great transfer from Sharm to Sharm (thanks to PEGASU). We drove alone in a minibus for 1 hour 15 minutes and watched the sunset in the desert. (The color of the mountains changed, even the garbage lying on the side of the road did not really spoil the landscape. ) But it was only with us - whoever they asked at the hotel - they were transported (the same PEGAS) with transfer buses with stops from other hotels. Maybe it depends on the flight - ours: ps4414 Kyiv.
When checking into a room, we were asked what kind of room we want (in English), but we do not speak English well and could not explain ourselves. Then the guide Mustafa approached us - friendly and nice, (who did not help us in any way) on this our acquaintance with him ended. He didn't show up for the meeting he had scheduled at 11:00 the next day, and we didn't need him. By the way, a few days later a new guide from Pegasus appeared - Tamara, who could be contacted, but we had no need.
They settled us in a normal room with the fourth building, near the children's pool, overlooking it, as well as the mountains and the sea. We liked. The rooms are decent with a loggia, the furniture is normal, standard comfortable beds, a bathroom with a mini-bath (sitting), a bidet, there is only a hairdryer (if you need it, take it with you). One minus (but not everyone pays attention to it) is a noisy air conditioner. But this is also a plus - because of the working air conditioner, the hum of the generator is not audible, which is located behind the first building, if I'm not mistaken. But the noise of the generator, too, it turns out, not everyone notices. By the way - the room can be changed without paying $20, so don't spoil the staff. Rooms are cleaned daily, linen changed three times in 10 days, towels - more often. You can always ask to change your linen as needed. The staff loves to chat. If you communicate and leave a tip (at least a dollar every other day), they will wind crocodiles, swans, etc. out of sheets. Thanks to the staff can be expressed in the form of a box of chocolates or chocolates  . But even without a tip they clean it.
The territory of the hotel is quite green, there are three swimming pools, the fourth one is under construction. There is a bar on the beach and near the pool. Drinks are well, but faster - near the pool. Cola, sprite, fanta, Stella Artois bottled beer, coffee, cappuccino, cocktails (simple). By the way, coffee near the pool is real from a coffee machine, and in other places everywhere - instant.

The beach is decent enough. Cleaned up in the morning. There are enough sun loungers for everyone, but near the sea you need to borrow early. Towels are good and always available both on the beach and near the pools. A shower room with a toilet on the beach is far from the coast and the road from the beach is a little unkempt, they could have laid tiles further away. But these are my personal impressions. Behind the gym near the pool bar there is a decent toilet and a good (closable) shower room. You can go there on the way to the room so as not to carry the sand.
The sea is fabulous. Corals start from the pier. There is a wide variety of fish and other inhabitants of the sea.
By the way, immediately from the beach to the right begins the reserve and dive site MORAEY GARDEN. The depth is up to 30 meters, a fabulous reef descends, the impression is indescribable - you must see it. To the left of the beach dive site GOLDEN BLOCK - there are turtles, but very scared. People come here especially for diving.
There is a German diving center on site.
By the way, decent buses go to Dahab 3 times a day. 20 minutes. ride. In Dahab there is a Russian diving center on the embankment, to the left of the bridge.
We had enough to dive and swim with a mask and fins.
Now about the daily food. The hotel food is very good for stardom and Egypt. We were satisfied. I especially liked the seafood salad. Shrimp and squid are on the menu. Very tasty fish in batter, meat and chicken. With vegetables and fruits - very normal. The only thing I didn't like was the guava. Desserts are great. No wonder the kitchen and chefs are praised in the reviews.
In restaurants (there are two of them - lunch and breakfast-dinner), the buffet does not dry out until the end of the meal, which is good. Drinks during lunch and dinner are served by waiters. They fit well, but you can also call if you want something else. Despite the fact that we do not know English, we quickly got used to it. All inclusive - drinks included. Alcohol - beer, wine. Tasteless red wine. Tolerable - white.
There are a couple of shops on the territory of the hotel (everything is 2-3 times cheaper in Dahab) and an Internet center near the beach - for $ 2 per hour.

About holidays with children - problematic on the beach, but good near the pool. There is a children's pool, and in the other two - "paddling pools" for children. Since our people love the sea, with children in the sea you can splash very carefully near the pier. Camels walk along the coastline, which adds to the exoticism of the holiday, but in fact they smell bad. Packs of dogs live in the mountains, a couple wanders to the beach. True, the guards regularly drive both camels and dogs from the beach, as well as local children who offer jewelry.
Now about what I didn’t like most of all - a small daylight hours. In October, the sun sets early behind the mountain. Sunrise was around 6:00 AM and sunset on October 14 was around 5:00 PM, and from October 20 the sun was setting at 3:45 PM. local time. I understand that these are natural features and no one can change this, but you need to know about this when you go on vacation.
About excursions. We went on a day trip to Cairo. Very tired, but satisfied. When you take an excursion in Dahab - bargain, the second and third excursions are at a discount. You can go to Cairo, for example, for 80-75 dollars, or you can go for 65-60. At the same time, a trip along the Nile in a voluntary-compulsory order for $ 8 is not included, and drinks in a restaurant during lunch are also not included. I warn you - the guide is always not Russian, as they say, but Russian-speaking. This is a big difference. For some reason, English-speaking excursions are both more interesting and cheaper than with a "Russian" guide. But this is a separate conversation. Husband rode an ATV to the canyon, to the oasis, 2 hours for 30 dollars. It turned out that I traveled together with an instructor, so I managed to travel at high speed, I was satisfied.
There are many impressions, it is impossible to write just one review. See photo.
The main thing is that we had a good rest at the Happy Life Village hotel, which is what we wish everyone.
