Sheremetyevo, Aeroflot (choice, after numerous negative reviews about Transaero) Airbus-320, a long flight without inconvenience (food, service - OK! ) Seats for two at the window: respectively, Europe at night at a glance, sunrise over the Atlantic. It was fresh on the plane, so a light sweater came in handy.
We landed, it's raining a little, we go outside and... like in a steam room! In the Arrivals Hut, do not worry about the declaration: write in a simpler way - no one even reads them, the main thing is to get the airport tax from you.

On the way to the hotel (probably 40 minutes), the guides of Capital endured such a mass of negativity that people whispered in the rows: where did we come ? ! Namely, do not go outside the hotel, there is nothing to do on the beach at night, because the Haitians can roam, theft (you must definitely take a safe, excursions only through them. If I had not spent two years on the Internet in the Dominican Republic, communicating with tourists and Russian-speaking residents of the Dominican Republic - I myself would be horrified by what I heard. However, we sat up on the beach after midnight (by the way, it was already dark at 18-00), we went on excursions by car with a Russian Dominican: 2 days outside the hotel along the route: Punta Cana - Saona - Santo Domingo - Samana. The man who drove around the country has been living there for three years, speaks good Spanish, there were no problems with the locals. It was interesting, especially where tourists are not taken.
Yes, the safe in the room is a separate miracle (a metal box bolted with one bolt to a chipboard cabinet shelf (we didn’t take it, but left valuables in a suitcase under lock and key)
About the hotel: beautiful, large area, clean. The beach is clean, the ocean with waves is beauty. You can just sit back and look at this picture. The peculiarity of the hotel, where there are a lot of Russians, is that they occupy sunbeds under awnings very early. The beach is wide, endless coastline. We swam in the pool only on the last day, we really didn’t want to! Animators work: they won’t let you get bored (if you don’t want to. I remember the evening performances, especially the circus show - cool! The food pleased me (a lot of meat, seafood, fruits, ice cream. ) Visited a la carte restaurants: Italian, Mexican, Asian. Everything is fine, but without enthusiasm, I didn’t like the time limit: like in an army canteen!
12 days were enough to survive the earthquake there (on the night of November 12-13 - whoever was, he remembered! ), passion with cholera, the bankruptcy of Capital and a lot of positive, and... the desire to return again!
