Pools - transparent water, during the day the area around them is constantly cleaned. Very impressed with the road to the beach. you leave the hotel territory - a path to the beach begins across the road, which goes through again a well-groomed park and leads to a bridge across the road!
That is, only hotel guests pass there - immediately after passing the bridge we find ourselves on the beach. The beach is municipal, common, but it has a large fenced area for hotel guests with sun loungers, two bars. There is also a toilet here. The lagoon is warm, relatively shallow, not far away is an island, which you can swim to on your own, or you can also take a catamaran. All inclusive - food - amazing!! ! We have never eaten such a variety of meat in 14 days! Pork, beef, goat meat, lamb - now you don’t even remember! And everything is very tasty! A variety of cereals, soups, side dishes, vegetables, fruits, drinks. Definitely ice cream for dessert.
Excursions are not only with the hotel guide - not far from the hotel there is a local travel agency, the owner of which is known to all hotel guests. On site there is a massage, a restaurant. You can sign up for a restaurant for free once - we tried it, it was worth it!
Shops with everything you need were also at the hotel, but you can get to shopping centers on foot, not far. It was very pleasing that both on the beach and near the pools there were always free sunbeds. Beach towels were given out on cards, there was no need to dry them - I took them in the morning - I handed them in in the evening, I got clean ones in the morning.
In the evenings there was animation. First for children, then for adults. Since we arrived at the end of December, a chic Christmas dinner awaited us on December 25, a festively decorated hotel area, in the evening - a very good performance of artists! But the celebration of the new year passed with a bang! Festive mood all day, evening dinner in two stages at tables with candles. And the celebration of the New Year itself was on the beach - a stage, tables and chairs were set up, local artists were invited, and from the exclamations from the crowd and the presence of the hotel owners and their guests, it was clear that the artists were very respected!
The performance was something similar to our Retro, only with a Western hemisphere bias, or something. Many songs were recognizable and the artists were on top! And the highlight of the celebration was the fireworks! Luxurious fireworks and subsequent dances to the music for three hours ... ))) We had a lot of fun! So I recommend the Billiviu Dominikana Bay hotel in Boca Chica!! !
The sea is clean, warm, the sunset is gentle, shallow and there are no waves. We saw crabs and starfish. The hotel has its own fenced, guarded area on the beach with sunbeds. All beaches in the Dominican Republic are municipal. On weekdays, the beach is calm and quiet, on weekends, locals come, it is quite noisy and crowded. It bothered us at first, but the locals are nice, friendly people and don't bother anyone.
There were bad moments too, of course. The hotel is not new, there was no renovation in this century, plumbing in the room, honestly, air conditioning hi so that we were afraid to turn it on. Opened the window, bitten by mosquitoes. But they were ready to relocate us, we refused. In principle, everything is fine. New cases 17-19. Entertainment is below average. Although the guys tried, of course. The restaurant has little seafood, for 10 days - only once, and even then, frozen. There are 2 "a la cart" restaurants - Italian and Caribbean, but you can only reserve a day at 9 am, there is almost always a queue, we did not work out.
Excursions were bought at the travel agency "U Pedro" directly opposite the exit from the hotel at building 11. Of all the excursions, there was a trip to Saona, and to Santo Domingo (we went individually).
Wi-Fi in the hotel is paid, it costs inadequate money !!! ! We bought a local SIM card for $5 with unlimited internet, and gave each other Wi-fi. There is also an Italian cafe at the exit of building 11, having bought coffee, you can connect to wi-fi.
Our compatriots after everything they have drunk at the bar (they don’t spare Roma here) is a separate issue. But without them it would be boring????
In general, I liked everything. I went to a 3 * hotel and got what I paid for and even more ????
I recommend
When I was choosing a tour, my priority was to leave for many days for a small amount of money.
A trip to the Dominican Republic to this hotel completely satisfied my needs. We flew away for 12 nights for reasonable money.
I do not understand people who speak negatively about this hotel and the Boca Chica resort in general. Incredibly beautiful Caribbean beach!
The hotel is budget, the rooms are average, but you can always agree to move to a better room if you are positive and behave politely. The young man arranged for us to move to another room on the second day of arrival, and everything went like clockwork. The staff is great, the entertainment is top notch. I enjoyed this vacation, I had fun! Drinks and food are great too. Well, if you want a luxury vacation, Punta Cana is dear to you, but then be prepared to spend money : )
