At the entrance, the girl asks to wear a mask. The food in the hotel is ok. There is beef, chicken, pork, burger patties, various vegetables, salads, sauces, dressings, several types of cheese, even dor blue, sausages, ham, food for vegans and diabetics, a lot of sweets, cakes, pastries, desserts, ice cream, yogurts , in the morning scrambled eggs and omelettes, pancakes, pancakes, faffles. Buns, white, gray, black bread, toast and much more. From seafood, mainly mussels, squids, fried fish. There were also lobsters a couple of times. There were never any shrimp. From fruits you can eat oranges, papaya, pineapple, the rest is not ripe, but there were also mangoes, melons, watermelon, tangerines. In the mornings, in addition to coffee and cocoa, there is champagne in ice buckets and Bloody Mary kits. The waiters can bring any drink from the bar or you can go and get it yourself.
In a la carte restaurants, there is a live queue not by appointment - wait at least an hour to get in.
Alcohol in the hotel is good. All drinks from branded bottles. For additional only drinks over 12 years old. In general, they drank a lot, did not get sick. Everything is delicious and good. The best cocktails at the bar where the reception. The beach bar is run by racists. Russians are poured badly and reluctantly. They smile at their own and the Americans and pour normally.

We decided to go to a la carte with my wife, we came and took a queue, we sit waiting, after 20 minutes two American "barges" came and also sat down to wait. So, after sitting for 1 hour and 20 minutes, and as the turn had already reached us, the employee at the entrance invited American women to the restaurant, and she pretended not to see us. To my indignation that it was our turn and they came later, she simply dismissed it. The mood was spoiled. Golf carts also drive around the territory and carry tourists, so I wanted to drive a couple of times and also pretended that they didn’t hear me.
There is no snack bar. So if you want to have a snack between breakfast, lunch or dinner, then there is nothing to do. Only drink. They won't let you take something out of the restaurant on a plate. This is for Privelegie, and you can use your hands or napkins.
The beach line is small, there are some barrels in the sea, such as breakwaters. The waves are cool, the water is warm, there were almost no algae. There were enough sun loungers.
Two large pools, there are a lot of sun loungers around them, but only a part with umbrellas. So, if you don't have time, then burn as you want.
There are no lifeguards on the beach and pools. No one!!! ! On the beach, bartenders raise and lower the flag. In the mornings and evenings there is a security guard on the beach, but he is in uniform and will not help you in the sea.
The area as a whole is not bad, beautiful. Ponds, fish, birds, turtles, flamingos, storks, cats. Everyone can be fed.
Animation is designed for local or Spanish speakers. During the day, so-so, a couple of people walk around with a column. In the evenings it is more interesting, competitions, dances, shows. At night, even the lanterns do not burn on the territory. We went on a tour at 5:30 in the morning, so we barely got to the reception, at least gouge out our eyes. No lunchbox for you.

1. Flight 11.5 hours. Azur Airlines plane, it is better to call a minibus for 324 passengers. Tight, uncomfortable, the plane is definitely my age) Fed immediately after takeoff and 2 years before landing. So get ready to buy tea for 2 euros from a flight attendant. It is especially difficult for 1-year-old children to carry the flight (and there are enough parents who have such small children), so you won't be able to sleep much. On the good side: the flight was not delayed, so even 1 year earlier arrived. And the flight went well without excesses.

For lovers of diving - there is something to see on the reef, especially to the left of the hotel, if you are not lazy. Beautiful large shells, rather shy fish (you need to dive and look under coral stones), soft corals, starfish. I was very surprised by a decent number of lobster lobsters, because I had gloves, I even caught a couple. True, I had to let go - the price tag was raised for cooking at the hotel - after all, this is food of "unknown origin".
The beach is safe - there is security, local sellers are afraid to approach the sun loungers, do not bother, modestly wait at the water's edge for a couple of minutes for someone to show interest, and leave. If you walk from the hotel to the right along the beach for 5-7 minutes, you will see a bunch of 3 beach shops. The assortment is similar to the vaunted Russian store (Ola souvenir), only you can bargain. In the first one, 2 women don't speak Russian, but give a very good price, especially if there are several items and bargain with a smile.
If you want to bring home the standard, such as coffee, chocolate balls and sets, as well as rum and Mama Juana, then the best price is in the supermarket in Sanat Domingo (on a tour, in your free time). Also a good price for rum was in duty free on departure (La Romana), especially for 2 in 1 gift boxes - Brugal from $20 for 2! bottles of 0.7. Of the shortcomings of the hotel - it is difficult to wait for the mini-bar to be replenished (should be daily), and canned beer is not bad there. The easiest way to decide - if you go to the room in the middle of the day (from 11 to 14) - look around. This was our first vacation in the Dominican Republic and we really enjoyed it. But it didn't cause any inconvenience. Every morning, apparently, a tractor or something similar cleaned the coastline from algae. Therefore, this line was quite clean.
What a stretch could be said about the rest of the beach. And since the people here are not in a hurry, it was possible for several days in a row to observe the same plates and glasses after a meal lying under the sunbeds.

There were enough sunbeds for everyone and there were always plenty of empty seats.

There were small privileges for this category in the form of their own area on the beach and separate rooms with their own pool near the building. But otherwise, everything is the same, we talked with a couple who purchased this service, so I see no reason to overpay. The rooms are large, very spacious, a little tired decoration and furniture, but this is not critical, we almost did not stay in the room, we tried to be as close as possible to the ocean and this unique nature. Everything worked perfectly in the room, they did the cleaning as soon as they left the “clean up” sign and went to the beach, everything was ready upon return. A complete set of cosmetics in the bathroom and other trifles, if something was missing, or you wanted an extra couple of cans of beer, then you can always meet the maid along the corridors before lunch and resolve any issue. The view from the balcony was on the garden, it is quiet in the evenings, you can sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the silence and nature. We booked the most ordinary room, because it takes several minutes to walk from almost any building to the beach, and from our room we even saw a piece of the ocean! Humidity is a little felt, but if you leave the air conditioner running in the room before leaving, then upon returning to it there will be a dry, pleasant coolness, so I advise you not to open the windows in the evening, and you will sleep comfortably at night. Service is also top notch. The staff, although almost does not speak Russian, but communicated on the fingers, and understood each other perfectly. The waiters and bartenders are friendly and smiling, and we did not feel the slowness that all vacationers in the Dominican Republic painted like that, apparently the staff in this hotel is more well-trained. And a little more about the service, we bought our vacation from the online travel agent Dmitry Kukin, and we can safely say that we had never received such service in terms of speed and quality anywhere before, it was very pleasant to work with him. We just voiced our wishes, and we were immediately offered several great options to choose from. We found it simply, on the VKontakte social network, by name and surname in the search for friends, we were immediately answered, and by the evening we had a tour to this heavenly place. The infrastructure and territory are wonderful, and as for the food, I can say that you can go to this hotel on a gastronomic tour. There are 8 restaurants alone, and the main one is no worse, and in some cases even cooler in terms of choice and quality of dishes than a la carte. You can go to restaurants on the menu at least every day, without an appointment, only Japanese by appointment. But after my sister and her husband went to it, we decided not to go, it's not worth it. French and Mexican just a delight, a steak house with an amazing ribeye steak, an American pleasantly surprised. There are breakwaters on the hotel's beach, which is a plus for me personally, since I'm afraid of waves, but you can only walk a few meters in any direction and jump on the waves to your heart's content. Ocean Blue is a fairly large hotel, with long large three-story buildings (like most hotels), in principle, the view from the room in all buildings is about the same - exit to the terrace or balcony overlooking the garden or pool. It's better to ask for a garden view because there is music playing by the pool from morning to night and the rooms are noisy. The room is not very large, with two beds, sky blue walls, and a rather compact bathroom. . The mini-bar is standard, replenished daily, although one day the maid forgot to update it, they reminded us and after 10 minutes the hotel employee brought the missing one. We tried to catch Wi-Fi in the room - it catches somewhere at the ceiling level : ) In other words, do not be stingy, resolve the issue in advance with a SIM card. There are two swimming pools on the territory of the hotel, one is noisier, with a floating bar and a jacuzzi (although people sometimes stuff there like herrings in a barrel), and the second, respectively, is quieter. There is always enough space by the pools during the day, as the bulk of vacationers go to the beach. By the way, about the beach, it is certainly not bad if you have not been to the Dominican Republic before. That is, you can start with it if you are not embarrassed by the erosion of the landscape - the beach is two-level, not too picturesque and there are a lot of algae that are not removed very willingly, so they can almost always be found. At the hotel on weekends you can meet locals, which we decided that the hotel is not bad and stands out in its price category. We can safely attribute this to the pluses of the hotel. Another plus is the presence of a huge amount of entertainment: a casino, a theater (where an evening show is held) and a really good bowling alley. The room has comfortable solid furniture, good beds with cool mattresses. There is a sofa and armchairs, a large loggia with chairs and a table. The rooms have an excellent bathroom with a shower, two separate sinks and a Jacuzzi tub. There is an iron with ironing board, coffee maker and a separate kettle, plasma TV, hair dryer, toiletries and minibar replenished every day. I liked the large and spacious closet, all our things fit. Cleaning is good, but not meticulous. It was possible to see the dust in the corners, although for us these are trifles. Anyway, most of the rest was spent on the beach)). The beaches are all urban, and we often walked together to the right and left along the coast and swam wherever we wanted. It was difficult to find a hotel for everyone in our company, we rummaged around the net for more than one day in search of the perfect place. As a result, the Ocean Blue Hotel arranged for everyone together and each separately. Our boys love good food and of course delicious drinks. The food at the hotel is just super-super cool, each of us enjoyed what he liked. My girlfriend and I enjoyed fish and seafood, and our guys enjoyed meat for every taste. There were always fresh and tasty fresh juices in the mornings, a bunch of different ripe fruits, many types of cheeses, vegetables and other things. We went to all the A la Carte restaurants, all without an appointment, except for the Japanese one. I really liked the dishes themselves and the service, although in the main restaurant the service was not nearly inferior. Tables were cleaned immediately, drinks were never expected, in general, the staff was 5+. They liked sunbathing near the pools, especially since we liked the bars there more. Daytime animation was constantly held near one pool, and we often hung around it. And if after a disco during the day you wanted silence, then you would go to the second one)). There were always enough places, we never looked for a sunbed or an umbrella. The guys are generally great, very incendiary, they did not let them get bored. I really love greenery and nature, birds, animals. I walked around the hotel, the territory is beautiful, well-groomed, many different birds and even turtles live, and pelicans often flew to the breakwater. So everyone can find entertainment to their liking in this hotel.
