the best combination of price and quality. All at the highest level:
- food (very varied and very tasty)
- the animators are just smart, they don’t let you get bored for minutes
-very varied evening programs that go to the lobby of different hotels (Bahia is a hotel complex), you can choose according to your taste: live music, dancing, competitions, whatever you want. Who loves to dance bachata, salsa, merengue - here you will rest your soul and will not sit still))))
-very friendly atmosphere, especially pleased with the restaurant staff and animators.
Leaving the room in pitch darkness, our company of 4 people simultaneously visited the same thought, but will we return back, that is, will we find the way? In general, we did not know where we went. After a long walk, we nevertheless went to the reception and with grief in half did find out where we can eat, it turned out that it was only by the beach. I won’t describe how we got there, that’s another story. But nevertheless, we found the treasured food point, but as it turned out, it would be better if we didn’t look for it at all, but just went to bed, since there was literally nothing to eat there, sausages, a bun, cheese and meatballs, everything is naturally cold. We went not solo nahelebamshi to look for the way back to the room. I still don’t know how they found it, but apparently the desire to collapse onto the bed was so great that we got to the room on autopilot.
In the morning, after asking our compatriots, we found out where breakfast is still taking place, after breakfast, we went to the sea and here we were most disappointed. Guys, after Turkey and Egypt, of course this is paradise, but to our regret we visited the Dominican Republic after Mexico and it turned out that the best Bavaro beach cannot be compared with the Riviera Maya beach, we expected to see white sand, such as it was in Playa del Carmen, but it wasn't there. Yes, the sand is cool, but not so white, now about the water. The ocean was dirty all the time, algae were constantly floating, and for the last two days, whole dunes of these algae were lying on the shore, you get out of the water and you smell all the fragrant mud and the same smell on the shore. You swim like a pig in a swamp. That is, having visited the Caribbean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean disappointed and the language does not turn to call it the Caribbean.
Now about food.
It's just terrible, every day the same thing, you go in and you already know what's where, they don't know how to cook meat at all, you'll break your teeth on it. It was impossible to eat soup a couple of times at all, salt was not spared in it, however, like sugar, they put so much in all cocktails that they all taste the same. The service is terrible, you can't wait until they bring a cup of coffee, and then the coffee itself. Depending on the mood of the waiter, they may bring you a drink for dinner, or they may not bring you (which, by the way, most often) we then stopped ordering, limited ourselves to just water. And then we felt like idiots, we order, we wait half an hour, and then they tell us "no, go to the bar. " By the way, the servants do not speak Russian at all, ONLY IN SPANISH AND A LITTLE ENGLISH.
The animation is also not very good, I would put 4 with a stretch, but in Mexico there really was a professional show in the evenings, and here it’s so-so, someone in the forest, and someone for firewood.
We literally got bored by the third evening. In general, of course, they got tanned, of course they swam and, of course, rested their body, but it was a pity for the money spent and the desire to return there again, NO ONE. If possible, then it’s better to fly to the Caribbean to Mexico, there are more exotics and better service and the beaches are more luxurious than the Dominican ones. Have a nice holiday everyone.
