From 01.01. 2007 to 13.01. In 2007, the four of us rested in the Dominican Republic at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace 5 * hotel. We flew to the Dominican Republic with Lufthansa: convenient, comfortable, attentive flight attendants, everything on time - a real pleasure.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace is a wonderful hotel to stay. The territory is huge. On the territory of the complex - 5 hotels are combined into one system: four 4 * hotels and Barcelo Bavaro Palace 5 *. A train runs between the hotels. There are casinos, souvenir shops. There are 14 restaurants on the territory of the complex. During the rest, not all of them even managed to visit. The menu in restaurants - what is there: from simple salads to gourmet meat dishes and seafood dishes. In the bars - cocktails are quite pleasant. We recommend trying the Cuba Libre cocktail, made on the basis of Dominican rum.

The beaches are the most striking: a clear emerald-turquoise ocean, always cool white sand, palm trees and pine trees along the coast. No problem with sunbeds!
A huge pool, decorated with islands of palm trees, bridges are thrown between the islands. The beauty!
In the evenings - entertainment and animation programs.
The hotel staff is unobtrusive, but quite attentive, smiling and friendly.
The Dominican Republic itself is a fairy tale! There is something to see.
Be sure to visit Saona Island. The tour is unforgettable. The cleanest Caribbean Sea, starfish, palm trees, curving over the water, just "Bounty".
We were on a private tour of Santo Domingo. Sunny radiant capital, unusual architectural solutions, aqueduct roads, monuments, Spanish-style streets, and souvenir shops are real art museums!

Excursions to Saona Island and Santo Domingo were conducted by Nikolai Solovyov. If you have the opportunity to go on excursions with Nikolai, you will not regret it!
A wonderful guide, well-mannered, educated, well-read, who knows the history of the Dominican Republic very well, is interested in its economy and modern political life. He talked a lot about the customs of the Dominicans. Throughout the tour, he does not stop, conscientiously works out his bread, answers all the questions of tourists.

But in all the rest there were also negative points - this is the host of Hotelbeds, or rather, not even the host itself, but its Russian-speaking representatives - Polina and Ivan. From communication with them - only negative emotions. Back in Moscow, we paid for the transfer, but no one met us at the airport, and no one took us from the hotel to the airport, we got there ourselves by ordering a taxi. No explanation or apology! While relaxing at the hotel, Ivan himself set the time for the meetings, but he never came to them on time, he had to wait for him for an hour and a half.

“Our Vanya” did not appear at all at the first information meeting. And Polina and Ivan have 20 percent higher prices for excursions than representatives of other companies. If during your vacation you want to get your dose of adrenaline, ask Ivan for a respectful attitude towards a Russian tourist and you will hear such obscene language in your address on the “Ukrainian language” in response, remember for the rest of your life! And all this for your money!

So good advice: choose your host country carefully when traveling to the Dominican Republic - and everything will be great!
