Český Krumlov - a city that came down from the pages of a fairy tale book
Reference: Cesky Krumlov is a city in the South Bohemian region of the Czech Republic. Situated on the Vltava river. The historic center of the city was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1992.
Krumlov Castle is the second largest castle in the Czech Republic after Prague Castle. The castle houses a baroque theatre, completed in 1766, with original mechanisms, stands and decorations. Due to its age, the theater is only used for performances three times a year.
The Vltava, which flows through the city, is a popular center for water sports, in particular canoeing.
Practical Tips: If you live in Prague, set aside a day to fully enjoy Krumlov.
Travel agencies offer a lot of excursions in this direction, but if you like to travel on your own, feel free to buy a bus ticket (buses run from Florence and Andel stations, a round-trip ticket will cost you about 15 euros / person) and go on a trip. The journey will take 3 hours. Try to get a ticket from the Student Agency (at Andel station) - only duty free was missing in their buses, everything else is no worse than in an airplane The town is very compact, there are signs everywhere. Already on the first observation deck (there will be enough of them along the route) it takes your breath away from what you see, but an unsurpassed panorama of the city opens from the castle (in front of the entrance to the park).
