It is located somewhat apart, about five kilometers from the center. There is a supermarket next to the hotel. Good decent rooms. There has been a renovation recently. Be careful with the choice of rooms. There are many categories. There is an option of accommodation in a separate building for adults only. There is a luxurious spa on site. Adults only area. Conduct wedding ceremonies. But still, the hotel focuses more on children. There is a good kids club. Own pool for children with slides, daily entertainment activities for children of different ages. Starting from 6 months. There is a club for teenagers from 12 to 18 years old. Arts, crafts, children's disco. Video games, internet cafe. One minus all the animation for both children and adults is carried out only in English. Well, there is no Russian-speaking staff even at the reception. Only a few people understand and speak some Russian. Mainly English language. Nice clean beach. Located on the first line. Well you can say that. Walk to the beach for about 5 minutes, you will need to cross the pedestrian crossing right next to the hotel. The road is calm and the traffic is weak. Doesn't create problems. The water is clean and warm. Entry into the water is gradual. Basically, the entry into the sea is rocky. But there is a part of the beach with a sandy entry into the sea. Sunbed/umbrella for a fee of 2.5 euros per day. If you take for two, then it will cost only 7.5 euros, plus they give you a password for free wi-fi. Free internet is also available throughout the hotel. And pretty good speed. In principle, it was important for us that there were good rooms and entertainment for the child. There are no problems with languages, so the lack of Russian-language animation did not bother us. The hotel was selected by a real professional. It took about 10 minutes to choose a hotel. Everything is convenient online, you don’t need to go anywhere. His name is Dmitry Kukin, this travel agent can be easily found by name on the VKontakte social network. Next I want to talk about the rooms and some of the minuses in the hotel. The room has everything you need. Tea and coffee set. Safe, bathrobes, slippers. The bathroom has a bath set. There is a hair dryer but it is very weak, you can immediately take your own with you. Another point is rather weak noise isolation, but in principle, not a hindrance in the hotel, a calm atmosphere did not interfere with sleep. The food is pretty good. There is variety. But not enough seafood. Drinks are served by waiters. You cannot take drinks in the restaurant bar on your own. The alcohol is quite good, the cocktails are well made. In general, everything is very good. Great option for families with kids!

The food is very good, varied, especially exquisite in the evening!! ! and the eye rejoices and the stomach is filled, and even very tasty! and shrimp and other seafood, desserts will rock you. . . + 4 kg))) and I want to try everything. . . sea fruit and melons and watermelons, etc. even champagne in the morning. the rooms are large, we really liked it, the interior is really outdated. . . air conditioning is prehistoric, if you turn it on, it blows like crazy, there is simply no lower speed. . . they were afraid to get sick and rarely turned on at night. . . it was hard from the heat. . excellent room service, and if you leave a couple of euros. . . totally amazing!! ! water is expensive 5 euros. . . it's easier to go and buy on the street, it's much cheaper there. The pool is great, clean and big. . . the bar in the pool is the best I have seen, the ice cream there is delicious. good location, close to the city, you can drive to the store, or you can walk along the beach, but my child and I did not risk it. In the city, you can see the sights, take a walk in the evening along the busiest street. I liked the parrot show, but it is very hot in this ZAO park and there is nowhere to hide from the heat. if they knew, they would refrain from going to ZAOpark, ZAO is better in Moscow!! ! and more! cons: about food, children who are not accustomed to the common table have nothing to eat (((there is no animation at all, the children's club has the same name, the room is small with toys and a TV set, a Latvian works there: "day-tttii, daaaaaayit poooooiiggraaeeem" . . although the kids older, about 8 years old, it was interesting there, video games))) a lot of people from the former USSR, the attitude towards Russians is much worse than towards foreigners (exactly among former Russians), and the toast in the morning is not extra. you’re born, they bring it only to non-Russians and they can be rude (((be sure to sign up for dinner at a restaurant, they won’t let you in without an appointment... YOU CAN STAY WITHOUT DINNER... we didn’t sign up on the first evening out of ignorance, no one informed us and for a long time quarreling with a woman who lets you go to the rest... it’s unpleasant to start the rest like that... (((while the child was swearing, he fell asleep in the stroller... naturally, without having dinner, you can’t take something out of the restaurant, only ordering to the room for an additional fee. At first they could not find a good entry into the sea, sandy, but along the edges there are huge boulders, very dangerous for children. My daughter liked the rest, this is the most important thing for me, and they tried not to notice minor flaws! )

Okay, I'll start in order. To go, of course, both in principle to Cyprus, and specifically to this hotel, I definitely recommend it! Very nice, very cool. After landing the plane in Cyprus - the sooner you get off the plane, the better, because there is a very tedious passport control procedure, and it is better to be in front than at the back of the line. Moreover, 3 counters are open for Russians, and 3 more counters especially for citizens of the European Union (a blue icon is lit there). Moreover, these racks of the European Union have almost no people, and they do not serve Russians. Our people at first burst without looking into these stands for the European Union, but they were not accepted there, and the queues smoothly flowed into the stands for the Russians.
Everything in the hotel is top notch. Service is top notch! The staff is very friendly, unobtrusive, some of the staff speak
in Russian, which makes life much easier. The rooms are clean, comfortable, cleaned efficiently, 2 times a day. Upon arrival in the room we were greeted with a bottle of wine and a plate of fruit, upon departure - a bottle of Cypriot olive oil. The territory is well-groomed, the beach is good. We were very pleased with the design of the hotel!
True, the hotel is not for young people. Fans of party youth communication and dating are clearly not here (Ayia Napa is considered the most youthful resort in Cyprus). From the resting contingent of the Amathus Paphos hotel - mostly English pensioners. There are very few Russians. Accordingly, there are no evening entertainment activities in the hotel itself. Only button accordion evenings in the restaurant at dinner. )))))
You don't have to stay at the hotel. It is necessary to take excursions, at least one or two. It's very beautiful, very interesting. Cyprus has a very rich history. No one forces you to go on boring excursions to churches and monasteries. We took 3 excursions: a boat trip on a yacht (where they took us for a ride, and then fed us lunch), a jeep safari (where we were taken to beautiful places, we stopped by a ghost village, a cheese factory, a mountain waterfall, a mountain river with a bungee, a trout a farm, a winery, where we were also fed and there was a tasting), a donkey safari (where they rode donkeys, and then there was a party where you can drink and eat as much as you want and a show program). All very cool and interesting. And Paphos is generally a museum city. Many sights can be reached even on foot.
I recommend going to different cafes and every day to relax in a new cafe. On average, one gathering in a cafe costs 20-30 euros per person. There are things that are worth a penny. for example, alcohol in shops (not in cafes), some souvenirs. In principle, the prices are reasonable. But it’s better to take free money with you to spend it, because there is where to spend it and you really want to do it. ))) Characteristic things that Cyprus is known for, olive products, including cosmetics, clay and plaster handicrafts and jugs, handmade lace , wines, silverware. All this and more can be bought.
We also rented a car there. But there are downsides to this: you can take what you want, but you can’t find many beautiful places on your own without a guide. But still, the car was very useful to us. Of the local dishes, be sure to try nabo meze (there is fish, there is meat). And yes, it's better to eat more.
especially fish and seafood. There, everything is very fresh and deliciously cooked (you can eat all kinds of hamburgers and pizzas at home). The only thing: I didn’t really like that in almost all dishes they shove French fries as a side dish (where necessary and where not necessary). Since we did not like button accordion evenings, we went to have fun in the center of Paphos. There is a street where the bars work mainly at night. Therefore, as befits the youth, my husband and I whiled away the evenings in these bars. True, dancing in bars starts very late: not earlier than 1:30 at night. Barkers invite you to many bars on this bar street, in many of these bars they give a glass of something free (for example, tequila) as a bonus, and in one bar we ordered a glass of wine, and they brought us 2 more for free. In general, I highly recommend relaxing! I do not advise you to go without creams, the sun is very aggressive. Burned out in 1 hour spent in the sun and in the pool. Of the common shortcomings: we have a hotel in Paphos, but we flew to Larnaca, and from there we traveled by bus for an hour and a half. Although Paphos also has an airport, and we thought that we would fly there (and the travel agency asked about it), but the truth became clear only in the last days before departure, when nothing could be changed. That is, we were deceived. And so they do with many others (we met tourists there who were also sure that they had tickets to Paphos, but it turned out that to Larnaca). Of course, there is no big crime in this. We were delivered on a comfortable bus, but we just didn’t like the very fact that on this road from Larnaca to Paphos (and back when you fly away) in general, you lose half a day that could be spent on your needs. Therefore, I advise travel agencies to clarify everything very clearly when ordering a tour and focus on such details.
Among the shortcomings of the hotel: there are 4 restaurants and bars on the territory of the hotel. But restaurants are open only in the evening, and not just in the evening, but specifically from 19-30 to 22-30. Which, agreed, is very little. We would love to spend the day there. I also didn’t like that for every dinner I had to reserve a table for some reason. We did not know about it and came the first evening just like that. And we were gently refused, saying that we had not booked a table, but since it happened, you can come in an hour and a half and then you can have dinner. Of all 7 days, we dined at the hotel only 3 times (the rest of the times were either on excursions or in city cafes). And one of these times we got to the hotel restaurant for dinner only at 21-00, because there was some kind of wedding going on. I believe that it should not be so. Why can't I eat at a time that suits me? And the same British have dinner for 3 hours. They will come and at first they sit just like that for an hour and only then get up and go for food. It is because of this that the tables are occupied for a very long time and there are no places. And yet, again, the British, always from the very morning spread their towels on the sunbeds near the pool, like they took a place, but they themselves can go somewhere and generally be absent for half a day on these sunbeds. What is also not happy: when you want to swim, but you have to walk around the pool between empty sunbeds, but with towels spread out in search of a place for yourself.
But this can rather be attributed to the peculiarities of national recreation due to the difference in mentality, and not to the shortcomings of the hotel.
And from the shortcomings: we were evicted at 12, and the transfer was supposed to arrive only at 16-30. Passing this period of time is very uncomfortable.
Here are my main impressions. In general, if you want to lie down on the beach and see the island itself, study it, 7 days is very little. Here are 10 days - that's it. Good luck to everyone and happy holidays!
P / s / By the way, in the hotel restaurants for dinner, the dress code is not allowed in flip flops, sportswear and shorts

In October it stormed often and strongly, they were not allowed into the sea. When the storm was not very strong, some kind of turbidity and algae rose. Swimming was uncomfortable.
The hotel is sooooo calm, like Paphos itself!!!
Who needs privacy and silence, you are here!
I read reviews that people come here 10 times to rest... I can’t understand - why????
It was enough for me once that I didn’t have a foot more in Paphos (boring and most importantly, a terrible beach, or rather the entrance to the sea). Maybe we were unlucky with the weather. . .
