Big Siberian greetings to all travelers! We travel quite a lot with my wife, but I am writing a review for the first time. The picture of the world is too broken. The purpose of the review is to warn travelers who want to relax with children (this is a key point) in this hotel about some, let's say, nuances and features in service.

For some time now, my wife and I have simply been in love with Cyprus. We rested several times, always in Constantinou Bros Asimina (an excellent five-star almshouse, according to the age of the vacationers). But they do not allow children. We have grandchildren aged 5 and 7. I wanted to give my granddaughter a gift for the first school holidays.

Favorite tour operator (for more than 10 years) Marco Polo, found the room we needed on the right dates in the best hotel in Cyprus, in Anass. Double room with a door between rooms, ideal for 2 adults and 2 children.

First, about what I liked, the review is as objective as possible and I answer for every word written here.
Great location, far from Larnaca, of course, and we flew there on the last direct flight. A beautiful bay with a beautiful beach, in late October - early November, the water temperature is +25 degrees. The grandchildren already know how to swim, so they swam for at least half an hour, almost completely alone, to the envy of refined and pampered Europeans. Perfect and helpful beach service, and towels will be brought in the right (any) quantity, and the sunbeds will be deployed as needed.

The rooms fully met expectations, the height of the bed in the adult room was a bit embarrassing, at least 80 cm, it was not easy to get up from it with a sore back. The cleaning of the rooms is perfect, on the first day we talked to the housekeeper (this is our usual practice) about our work and rest schedule, and we did not see each other again. And the room was always perfect.

And now about unpleasant disappointments.
As the hero Kira Bulychev said, the main thing, in an unfamiliar place, is to get food. But with this we were not lucky ...Only breakfast was paid for, we planned to have dinner in Latchi, in the famous tavern Porto Latchi. In previous visits to Cyprus, we visited this tavern several times, the impressions were the most favorable. For these purposes (for the first time) a car was rented. First driving experience with right hand drive. But after the clock was switched to winter time, it became dark from Sunday, October 27, already at 18:00. The roads are not lit, left-hand traffic, for the first time, in general, we did not take risks.

We decided to have dinner at the hotel in the restaurant "Amphora" (where there is a buffet, and there was a chance that the children would eat something). Moreover, we were offered a truly "royal" gift - if adults dine seven times at the Amphora restaurant for 60 euros per person (without drinks), then children dine for free.

The hotel positions itself for family holidays with children (there is a kids club, although a shallow pool (!! ! )), but this is a hotel, and the kitchen and the restaurant are not very popular with children. There is nothing else I can explain the almost complete lack of food for children: not once in a week there was no porridge, a normal omelette, pancakes, that is, what children eat, they are such conservatives ...

And the behavior of the waiters just plunged into a quiet shock, the dirty dishes from the tables had to be cleaned on their own, in front of the waiters, who did not even try to help. Dinner is even more interesting. The whole quest is just to get into a restaurant and sit down at a table. If you arrive at five minutes to seven, then after standing in a small queue for 5 minutes (the administrator, depicting violent activity, writes something manually (!!! ), on a dozen pieces of paper). If you arrive later, you will have to stand in line for at least 15 minutes. If you enter from the street (the entrance is free) you will be escorted to the end of the queue.
This is with free tables, and free waiters milling around like sleepy flies.

Moreover, the queue is so specific, or rather, not at all politically correct, in the queue there are disabled people in wheelchairs, and mothers with several children, one of whom is usually breastfeeding, and violently expresses their indignation. In general, fun. And God forbid you order a bottle of wine. They will bring it 30 minutes after the order, pour a glass, and hide the bottle in a bucket of ice, behind the nearest (3-4 meters) column. So that in no case do you add wine to yourself (!!! ).

Okay, so be it, service is service. So after all, the waiters are not suitable to fill the glasses. My wife and I have already made a bet when the waiter will deign to pay attention to us. Record - 27 minutes with empty glasses! I’m not talking about dirty plates, everything is the same with breakfast. What speaks about systemic problems in the organization of the restaurant.

And again about baby food.

A table with baby food for dinner (I will not hide this) with a tray for pasta, a tray of brown overcooked nuggets, and a tray of small dried fries. Everything is not very tasty, the children ate a little bit, only because of the feeling of severe hunger. The assortment was very stable, that is, for seven days the contents of the trays of the children's table were the same. Which is very disappointing, because with lunch at the Pelagos restaurant, by the pool, everything was fine. We came to the opening, at 12-30, sat down at a free table (ourselves). Within a few seconds, the waiter appeared and took the order, after 5-10 minutes everything ordered was on the table. Great kids menu, kids ate all day. The main menu is amazing octopuses. I took them every time, never ate them. And, of course, no problems with dirty dishes.
By the end of the holiday, there was a strong feeling that the Amphora restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the Pelagos pool restaurant belong to completely different hotels ...

Well, the control in the head. A couple of times in the room brought "compliments" in the form of confectionery, some buns, cakes. Since we are raising our grandchildren in the traditions of a healthy diet, we did not touch these "compliments". But on Friday, November 01, returning from the sea at 16-00 (three more hours before dinner), they could not stand it. The grandson, having sniffed, refused to eat the minimuffin, the adults ate one each, the granddaughter two. After an hour and a half, all the symptoms of food poisoning in three people who ate these "compliments", nausea, turning into repeated vomiting. In general, the farewell dinner was disrupted. I had to eat nothing for a day, we recovered from poisoning for another week. "Thank you" to the chefs and cuisine of the best hotel in Cyprus.

Good luck to all.

Take care of yourself and your loved ones.
