Pros: 1) quiet location, but close to both the center and the sea;
2) view from the room;
3) cleaning of rooms, change of towels and linen.
Cons: 1) arrogant, arrogant staff;
2) I consider it a minus if the hotel cannot congratulate the guest on his birthday with at least a glass of wine at dinner. Attention is important, and on my holiday I received rudeness from you;
3) badly-cooked tasteless food;
4) the lack of lunch boxes and the inability to solve this situation. Do not go to meet the client;
5) small room, balcony, non-compliance with the description and facts;
6) cold pool, not enough sun loungers near the pools;
7) the air conditioner in the room does not work for heating;
8) chipped, chipped dishes in their canteen-restaurant - does the staff even think about safety ? ! Cutting yourself on such a cup or glass is nowhere easier, especially for children! I am generally silent about plates with cracks.
In Cyprus for the first time. The hotel was recommended by the agent, but it was clearly a mistake on my part. . .
Check-in: at the hotel were around 13-30. Selila is a Cypriot (she was never seen again, perhaps the mistress of this "palace"). Immediately, rudeness flew at our address with my husband, and this was my birthday. In general, we were simply given the key and sent to the room. To say that instead of some congratulations on your birthday, there was a residue - to say nothing. After a walk around Ayia Napa, we went to the reception to ask about tomorrow / dinner, and already from the Russian-speaking staff they ran into rudeness, they say there is a board, read everything, if you don’t remember. Well, I explained to her in the most accessible way and explained that we are not obliged to remember what we were not told. And it’s easier for administrators to answer briefly what, where and when, than to build high-flown sentences to send to the bulletin board. After all, it's their job. Nobody told me the password for wi-fi free either, I had to beg and find out everything, that's the feeling that you were sent to the settlement - remained until the end of the holiday.
Room: small, budget, overlooking the sea. This sight saved him. There is no kettle or refrigerator, only for an additional fee. When we said that the kettle was included in the description of the room, we only heard: "You have Sea View - enjoy the view. " Used furniture in places. The hostess of the hotel, instead of painting her terrible pictures, it would be better if she painted the furniture. The bed creaked terribly, and there were problems with soundproofing. The balcony is tiny, it has plastic furniture (I hate this). My husband and I are small, but even we were cramped. Obviously not for two people.
It was cold at night. The air conditioner does not work for heating. Fan is weak. Plus, the rooms are clean and cleaned almost every day (they didn’t clean it once, either it was a coincidence for a remark to the administrator about the terrible fish, or the revenge of the staff, but the next day by the evening the room was not cleaned. Turning to the reception with a claim, they lit hands and they say it's your fault, they probably were in the room. I showed a photo with the date and time that during the cleaning from 09-00 to 15-00 we were on the beach. The administrator took a back seat, but I, as a guest, did not I had to prove my case! There is a fact - my number is not removed).
Food: not that monotonous, just tasteless cooked! More precisely, terribly cooked! Breakfasts are a dull start to the day. There was always a feeling that the chefs do not like their work, and even more people for whom they cook. Cucumbers and tomatoes were chopped for pigs! You can hammer nails with meat for dinner, it is so overdried. The memory of what the semblance of moussaka looked like still makes me sick. Want to know how to ruin squid rings? Deep-fry them according to the technology of the Corfu Hotel chef. The fish is cooked with intestines and all the insides (if it is not a fillet, but a fillet is a boiled, tasteless puree-like mass), it is terribly bitter. I cook myself and have worked in the catering industry, so in Corfu everything is cooked for livestock. But I don’t consider myself to be the latter, which is why I made a remark. Their soup is stew with puddles of fat. I read a lot of reviews that this hotel has ice cream. In short, this is not a sorbet, and not a creamy ice cream, but simply an aromatic cold sweet mass.
And one more nuance: I flew on a tour to Israel, my husband stayed in Cyprus. Came back late. My husband asked the administrator to leave me dinner. They said that it was impossible and they would feed me there. We fed in Israel at 17-00, and I returned to the hotel in Cyprus by 01-00 at night! Dear receptionists who denied me the dinner I paid for, do you think I was full or hungry? Yes, I was hungry. And the care of feeding me after your refusal fell on the shoulders of my husband. This is what I'm taking off points for you.
To this day, I really regret staying at this hotel. It would be better to move to another.
The room has a refrigerator, air conditioner - no extra charge. Sleep quietly, barely heard music from the barques and clubs, but sleeping with the balcony door open did not interfere.
The location of the hotel is convenient, close to the sea (5-7min) and to the center (7-10min). The nearest beach (behind the Missy Hotel) is excellent: a gentle entrance, clean sand, azure water, moderately crowded. On the beach there is a shower, changing clothes, toilets, a foot-washer. Rent an umbrella and sun loungers 2.5 euros per unit for the whole day (they give you a check when paying, which also contains the Wi-Fi code, if anyone needs the Internet).
Near the hotel there is a supermarket and mini-shops, prices are cheaper than in the center.
The food was breakfast / dinner, as for a 3 * is quite decent.
For breakfast: sliced sausage, cheese, sausages, fried potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, bacon, three types of eggs, watermelon or melon, pancakes, jams, and drinks, both cold and hot - not everything is tasty, but you can choose and eat.
For dinner, there is a fairly large choice for 3 *: soup, side dish (potatoes, rice, porridge, pasta alternated), meat (chicken, pork, veal), fish (squid rings alternated, fried fish, crab cakes), a couple of vegetable salads, cutting vegetable, beet, olives, sauces, dessert (one type of cake or cake), watermelon or melon, ice cream. Drinks for dinner for an additional fee at the bar.
The food is quite decent, if anyone is a gourmet, but better then at least 5 *.
Two or three times a week the hotel has some kind of entertainment (karaoke, parrot show . . ).
On excursions they took from local agencies, much cheaper than from the operator.
Russian-speaking town almost. The hotel reception speaks Russian, friendly staff, responded instantly to all requests.
The minus in the hotel is cleaning . . superficial, washed the floors and that's it . . towels were not changed even once in a week, the bed was changed once . .
If you are lovers of noisy parties, then you are closer to the center.
I highly recommend this hotel for a beach holiday!
It was recommended to us by our travel agent. They said that the hotel after renovation, walk to the sea for 5-7 minutes. The center of the resort itself is also within easy reach. Everything turned out to be true.
The room was excellent, freshly refurbished and overlooking the sea. Meals were taken breakfast + dinner, dinners were very pleasing. Fresh delicious vegetables, fish, poultry. The hotel left the most positive memories, now we can safely recommend it.
The hotel looks great after the renovation, everything is new, everything sparkles and shines!
We were placed in a deluxe room (220) with a paid standard room (this is a bonus from the hotel as a regular customer) And the second bonus is that all drinks at dinner were free for us.
Mr. Stelios personally met us, he took us to the room and showed everything how and what).
The deluxe room has a refrigerator, plasma TV with several Russian channels, a hairdryer, a kettle, cups, a welcome set of tea-coffee-sugar and 3 bottles of water, a Jacuzzi bath. Soap and shampoo in the bathroom upon arrival. If you ask the maids, they will report. Leave tips regularly.
Huge balcony! The room is very spacious, clean and bright! We did not use the air conditioner, the weather was very comfortable, we slept with an open balcony.
I really liked the attitude of the hotel staff, everyone speaks Russian, Nadya was especially attentive, she will always help and tell if there are any questions.
Cleaning every day, towels changed, beds made, bed linen changed every 5-6 days approximately.
Nutrition.
Breakfast 7.00-9.30, dinner 19.30-21.30.
As always, quality products, delicious dinners, there is always plenty to choose from!
Some write about monotonous breakfasts, and so, I think that these are just nit-picking! Omelettes of 2 types, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sliced cheese sausages, cucumber-tomatoes, french fries, olives, oranges or melon, beans, 2 types of sausages, croissants, 2 types of cereal, milk, sour cream, jam 2 types, butter. . . You can make toast. Tea, coffee from the device of several types! Is it really not enough for someone?
Gentlemen, if you want a 20-course menu for breakfast and a DIFFERENT menu every day, you need to go to a premium or luxury hotel. Just be prepared to pay 150 thousand for this pleasure. And there you will have to pay in general for every sneeze, sorry))))
As for the location of the hotel, I see nothing but pluses! Gorochka? Don't even talk about her, she's not that tall and cool. Any healthy and not decrepit person will master it easily. It was all the more surprising to read from the young about the severity of the ascent.
By the way, the notorious first line will cost the same lazy tourists 3 times more expensive, but is there any point?
Quietness and remoteness from noisy roads and clubs is the biggest plus of the hotel. Very cozy terrace, all entwined with flowers. Nice homely hotel!
There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, entertainment venues around for every taste and budget. Nearby there are shops with everything you need. About the supermarket PLUS, I think everyone already knows, there are optimal prices for water and other little things.
Our vacation went great. I liked everything. The sea is just super, crystal clear, transparent, the beach is excellent, wide, sandy, the entry into the sea is beautiful, gentle. The weather is comfortable, it has never rained, the people are friendly, the air is clean! How many times I have a rest in Cyprus, so many times I am convinced that this is an ideal option. This year there were much more people, it was felt by the fullness of the beaches. Sunbeds and umbrellas are still 2.5 euros. In the bar (on the beach next to the Melissi Beach hotel) a delicious frapé for 3 euros is simple, and 3.5 euros with ice cream.
We went on a boat trip along the coast on the boat APHRODITE II, leaves at 11.15, back at 15.30, 2 stops for swimming, costs 20 euros (includes potato lunch with chicken, salad, bread, butter and sweet melon). For those who want to eat and drink, there is an additional bar : )
The hotel fully justifies its 3 *, and in its price category clearly outperforms other options. I looked at the prices before leaving - all hotels were more expensive, some 3 * cost like 4 * in general!
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a comfortable atmosphere, this is the place for you. If you are not used to looking for minor flaws where you can not notice them, you are here))) By the way, the hotel plans to expand the territory.
The owners are great, they repaired and updated the hotel in a short time! And I have never met such a reception and attitude towards tourists anywhere else!
I will definitely come here again and again!
So:
1. The rooms in the hotel are average in size, not small, but they were and saw more. If you eat in three, then it will be one large bed (1 + 1) and a small one in half a meter. After that, 15-20% of free space for maneuvers remains.
2. The pool is worthy (although the inscriptions "no running" and "no diving" are in English, so this does not apply to Russians ...: )
3. To the beach 520 meters along the shortest route + from the hill (reversely, vice versa ... ). Exactly 520, because measured on Google maps. If you think that the road to the beach is directly from the hotel, then you are deeply mistaken.
3. The food is hearty, but it was delicious for us 3 times out of 2 weeks (subjectively) ...Cypriot cuisine was not particularly impressive, because it is fresh, a lot of spices. Russian - nothing outstanding that would please. P. S. - I recently returned from the army and I am not picky about food!
4.
The rooms are old: shabby, frayed. Before the arrival, the room service could not even wash the faucets from plaque ...
5. The floor is tiled - hence the lack of sound insulation (You have arrived at a resort that is youthful and is called the second Ibiza! Have a good sleep : )
6. When the clubbers return from the dances in the morning like 3-4 back and start calling the concierge, the call is similar in volume and sound to a fire alarm : )
7. Drinks for dinner are ALL paid. The price of a simple water in the bar is 1.5 Eur. In a store nearby 0.5 Eur. Own water (food) is allowed only in the room (not at the pool, not for dinner).
8. Wi-Fi catches only on the 1st floor - a patch in front of the reception. There may not be a password as such, but it still asks : )
9. Hairdryer paid
10. No fridge
11. The adapter to the socket is paid.
12. Breakfast from 7.30 to 9.00 (well, or how it ends, it ends).
13. Departure at 12.00 (transfer can be on the same day, at 8-9 pm).
14. A snake crawled for breakfast once : )
fifteen.
VERY good-natured Russian-speaking (half) staff!
16. We did not take a sea view, because it was more expensive. Friends didn't take either. We lived on the first floor, they are on the last one : ) (where is the logic? ). From the last: there is no view as such, because the hotel itself is 300-400 meters from the beach
17. Room service comes regardless of whether you handed over the key (you are not in the room) or not. Cleaning time range: from 10 am to 2 pm; )
You decide ; )
