Behind the shoulders of rest in Europe, Israel, the Greek Islands (in Turkey and Egypt is not our topic, we have not been there and do not want to). We liked this hotel in terms of price and location. We flew to Cyprus for the first time, realizing that we had a baby, we didn’t want to travel far to places of entertainment.
After reading the reviews, I only noticed the positives. The previous review helped a lot, I left comments there before flying to Cyprus. I understood from the reviews that if they give a card, then we will have a renovated room, and if they give a key, then the room is old. And so we check in, I stand in line at the reception, look around, look at the British who relax in the pool of our hotel and understand how cool it is there! And in my hands a kind girl hands me a card and calls our number! Hurrah, I thought, a card)
We took the elevator to the 2nd floor (they have it on the 1st floor). We enter, in front of me is a beautiful 2-room suite with floor-to-ceiling windows and a clean environment, modern tiles are laid everywhere, and it was also cooled (we did not pay for air conditioning and Wi-Fi and did it right). I began to carefully open the lockers in the hope of fainting from huge cockroaches, but there were none!! ! Nowhere! I go to the closet and under the closet - they are not there - this is the biggest fear! The windows of our room overlooked a quiet street and if you look to the right you could see the main road and McDonald's. So for all 7 days we never heard screams, songs, knocks (the only garbage truck drove by at 5 in the morning for 3-4 minutes)
It’s so good that there was no TV, we don’t even watch it at home, cartoons for the baby were on the iPad, and Wi-Fi was enough for us at McDonald’s (more than) every day we were cleaned trash cans and a towel for our feet, we changed the bed 2 times with the whole bunch towels (very many did not count). The water is hot without interruption, there is toilet paper.
As for the pools - we completely forgot about the second large pool and had a great time at the main one, exactly where there was a party of very decent youth from 11 to 19 pm (the fact that they drink cocktails, breathe balls and dance - this does not mean that they are trash). The pool has good filtration and periodically the staff took a sample. Our little one was reaching out to the guys with balls and we decided not to forbid him - as a result, a happy child and calm parents (in 7 days the child did not get sick and was not poisoned by water from the pool).
Then we began to notice that elderly couples were playing board games near the pool, and old people were also dancing on the balcony overlooking the pool, without any stereotypes. The guys who found and passed by me with the child smiled and when we went down to the pool they tactfully offered help.
The favorable location of the hotel protected us from unnecessary expenses, we did not have to rent a car, although this was part of our plans. Ayia Napa is very lively, so there was no need to be bored here. Dined in restaurants, had breakfast in the room.
Beach. If you walk in a straight line, then you will come to a sandy beach with a stone entrance to the sea. At first this seemed like a minus, but when we visited the beach in the port, we realized that the nearest beach was right for us - the child sits in shallow water and the waves do not bother him, and we took turns going down to clean equipped swimming areas and we don’t go to crowded beaches anymore went.
And our room turned out to be the most ordinary one, when we saw the updated rooms with neon lighting, they just changed the locks to modern ones and installed good windows everywhere - this was quite enough for comfort... The air conditioner periodically turned on by itself)
Recommendations: take a good knife with you (there are plenty of desserts), there is even a corkscrew, also take a sponge for washing dishes, salt, sugar, pepper, otherwise you will have to buy it.
Have a nice rest!
PROS:
Great location, close to the sea, 10 minutes to the port, in front of a cheap supermarket, where you can find everything you need. Food prices are approximately * 2 from Ukrainian ones.
Opposite Lunapark, through it access to the embankment, where you can swim from the pier.
For 7 days the room was cleaned twice, bedding and towels were changed. There is no hair dryer in the room, you can take it at the reception, leaving a deposit for the time of use of 20 euros. So is the iron.
The sockets are European, 3 prongs, but our cunning tourists came up with a life hack that we personally tried: you need to insert a regular semicircular key into the upper groove of the socket, then plug in our plug and remove the key. Voila - no adapter needed))) DO NOT FORGET TO TURN OFF THE SOCKET BEFORE THIS!!!
There is a monastery behind the hotel, but they did not hit it, it is now closed for repairs. There is also the famous street of clubs - the center of the party of Ayia Napa.
The guide from Join Up, Maxim, is a very pleasant young man, with humor, did not impose anything, quickly told everyone who was interested in excursions - he stayed, the rest calmly went about their business.
We took a boat trip in the port itself for 25 per person on the Scuba Yacht on the right side (opposite the monument in the port). I liked it very much, 4 hours of walking, swam 2 times for 40 minutes, plus a barbecue with snacks)))
It is cheaper to rent a car not on the main street. If you leave the hotel and turn right, and the second turn to the right - there is a small street there, they took a car for 100 euros for 3 days. We drove 800 km, refueled for 80 euros. You only need a license to rent.
In fact, you can write a whole book about Cyprus, how beautiful it is if you don’t stay in a hotel))) So let’s return to the hotel.
MINUSES:
For me, he is the only one: inadequate European youngsters who, in principle, do not know the word "education". I have never seen such trash anywhere: the British, Germans, blacks, at the age of 16-20 behave... it's hard to even find a word! MEGAPIGS!! ! They yell, throw chairs, bottles from the balconies into the pool, listen to loud music in the room all night, absolutely not worrying about the neighbors. Britons are unleashed, vulgar, frankly shabby girls, we have even more decent ones on the HTZ... In the afternoon we went into the pool, this "cultured" youth sits in the water, breathes some kind of gas from balloons, drinks, they throw it into the pool cups, balls and used cans, and everyone themselves bathes in this... The staff does not physically have time to rake them out! And after that we are given the example of the European Union?? ? Well, this... Tagil nervously smokes compared to this cattle.
Despite this significant minus - the trip was amazing! Cypriots are incredibly kind and sympathetic people, they will help, prompt, they will never be rude. I don’t understand why they got such a punishment in the form of a 2-month attack by Eurotourists!
Many thanks to the staff for their kindness, we sincerely wish you patience!
We were given number 256 in the back building,
ROOM: not bad, all that was needed: a kettle, a toaster, a stove, no TV, but as it turned out that the air conditioner was paid $ 8 per day (where do they write about it ?? ) and how is it in general, you arrived at a 3 * hotel without amenities... Previously I was in Ayia Napa in a 2 * hotel and there the conder was included in the price!
LOCATION: the very center, opposite the entrance is the cheapest supermarket, McDonalds, bus stop, amusement park, rental of any type of transport, bar street, restaurants, the sea is 1.5 km away, the city beach is very crowded... etc.
And so the most interesting... , in the daytime near the main pool pool party, Mc, youth, movement is all clear and normal! On the first day, we walked and came around 23.00 near the main pool, the pool party ended, it was quiet, but when we approached our room on the ground floor, young people were running, music was playing, we were tired from the plane, terribly wanted to sleep, we didn’t manage to sleep!!
British students drunk and under laughing gas, maybe even schoolchildren (there were many of them) sat all night at the second pool, near our building, yelled so loudly, fiddled around, they also turned out to be our neighbors, knocked on the door with all their foolishness (waking up sleeping friends hike) This fuss continued until 8 in the morning (at 4 in the morning we even went out to the main building to the pool to see if there was the same screaming herd of students, but no, there was silence and the night administrator walked alone)
How and why does the administration allow vacationers to behave like this on the territory of the hotel and do not look after the order!?
The next day, at a meeting with the Join UP guide, they tried to talk to which she said it was normal! This is a youth hotel and all that, the hotel attracts guests with parties! But not at night! In short, the room was changed to 137, it still had a sofa and huge cockroaches ran from time to time! It was quiet in it until 5 in the morning, the same drunkenly violent students again came and yelled, it’s good that I always have earplugs with me! In general, on the 3rd day they got used to it, but the mood was spoiled, they returned to the hotel with reluctance!
