The choice fell on Varadero because of the entertainment and a good beach. The very center of Varadero is far from the hotel, but there was also something to do nearby. Now about the hotel itself. Something has been recently renovated, the territory is large and clean, two swimming pools, a lot of palms and greenery, a nice wide beach with clean sand, a warm ocean. This is, in a nutshell. We arrived early, settled into the room almost immediately, without additional payment for early check-in. Our room was on the side of the canal, but the view from the windows is also very picturesque, especially in the evening. The advantage is that the wind is less felt from this side, and in the morning or in the evening you can sit on the balcony. Our room was after some renovation. The bed was a combination of two, but you can sleep. Cleaning is good, for a small tip they twisted various figures on the beds and in the bathroom. In general, although the hotel belongs to the state, it is quite decent. We did not sit in the room, but everything else suited us. The hotel is budget, for that they saved on entertainment, excursions, walks, clubs, then why did they fly)). We quickly picked up a hotel, quickly arranged everything, and the price turned out to be cheaper than that of the tour operator. The hotel itself has its own free entertainment. You could take a boat or a catamaran for half an hour and ride the waves. The beach is really great. The sunbeds themselves are not quite new, but they were always in abundance. You didn’t have to take a place in the morning, you can come at any time and find a free one. The food in the restaurants is good, not much variety, but it was every day. Chicken, beef, fruits and vegetables. Still very good A-La Carte, in each of the four you can sign up in the morning for the evening. They certainly have better food and better service. If we talk about the service in general for the hotel, then do not count on much, it is state-owned. But tipping here changes the attitude towards you for the better )). Two cookies on the bar, and rum with drinks will immediately be an order of magnitude higher. So, if you do not plan to spend all the time only in the hotel, then it will suit both the room and the food.
