Hello!
The hotel deserves its four stars. The room is very clean, the furniture is new (we lived on the 4th floor in the main building), the bar is meager (one can of beer, a can of cola, a can of fanta). There is a coffee maker, ironing board, umbrella, hair dryer, scales, LCD TV. The food is decent, but not super luxurious. For breakfast there was only one type of juice (orange), many types of sausages, jamon, vegetables, scrambled eggs, yoghurts with fillings, pastries. For lunch and dinner - soups, meat and fish dishes, a lot of side dishes, you will not stay hungry, they cook deliciously. The bars prepare various cocktails, not only according to the map, but also any others. Cocktails are not very good at making, but the lobby bar has the most delicious ones. The hotel area is clean, green, there is a stink river in which two sharks swim, we fed them raw fish from the restaurant. A large swimming pool, in the afternoon you can play volleyball and polo in it, they don’t particularly follow night swimming, so we swam after the disco. The beach is large and clean, if you come by 11 o'clock, there may not be enough sunbeds. Daytime animation is not bad, in the evenings - music shows, if you like Latin music, you will like it. The hotel is located 10 minutes drive from Varadero. We went to other hotels, outwardly we really liked Melia las Americas.
We took two days in Havana, we emailed the guide Vivian in advance, she gave us an individual tour for 30 CUC for two for the whole day (Teztur took 35 CUC per person for 5 hours), I liked it very much, if you are interested, I will leave her email and telephone.
