From the ends of the Earth to Easter Island!
South America has always made me feel overly curious.
You know, they often say - I would follow you to the ends of the Earth.
So there is a myth that the end of the Earth is Chile. This is where my husband and I went!
We landed in the evening in the city of Santiago and spent a day and a half there!
Now I will try to describe this city to you in one paragraph - it is both a businesslike, bustling, modern city, and on the other hand, it is the complete opposite - old-fashioned and calm.
The whole day we rode around the city and examined its sights - we were taken through the quarters with shopping centers and through the picturesque parks of Balmaceda and Forestal, to the mountain of San Cristobal at the peak of which you can see the statue of the Virgin Mary, to the presidential palace and the palace of fine arts. And at the end of the day we already visited the old city in the evening - which created in my mind an absolutely contradictory image of the city of Santiago, which was created throughout the day - now it appeared before me as a quiet, not fussy and even archaic space.
But I’ll tell you a secret, in fact, my husband and I were going to go from the ends of the earth to the most mysterious land - Easter Island, and that’s exactly what we did!
On the third day of our trip, we flew to the island.
What magnificent and diverse feelings we experienced after visiting this place! The island fascinated with its landscape, the huge heads of the moai caused a general feeling of both panic fear and admiration at the same time!
All those days that we spent on the island - we traveled - went to the vicinity of the Rano-Kau volcano, where we were shown statues of various deities worshiped by the tribes of Easter Island, in our free time from excursions, my husband and I went scuba diving and watched the underwater world near islands, still riding horses!
In fact, there were even more excursions than expected - Togariki, Rano Roraku volcano, Anakena beach, Ahu Akivi ceremonial center, a quarry, a village with lava caves.
Easter Island, fortunately, left only wonderful impressions in me - in such a short time, as it might seem, we managed to see and learn a lot about this amazing place and we are very happy that we were able to visit there and that we were in Calypso M-Tour We were able to pick up a very thoughtful tour, which we were satisfied with!
