I rested with my husband and son 5 years old in early June 2001. We came from St. Petersburg to "Pridneprovsky" for the third time in our car. The car was immediately parked in the paid guarded parking lot of the sanatorium. After a week of rest, on Saturday morning we went to Rogachev for shopping. We returned to the resort for lunch. In the evening, returning to the room from the river, they found a note in the door of the room asking them to urgently go to the parking lot. Running to the parking lot, we were horrified to find that the glass in the right front door of our car was smashed to smithereens (the whole interior was covered in fine glass). We were even struck not by the fact that we did not expect this in Belarus, since we always believed that there was practically no crime in the republic, but by the way the employees of the sanatorium and the district police officer reacted to this. The security guard, who allegedly spent the whole day in the "birdhouse" in the parking lot, immediately began to convince us, first that with such glass WE RETURNED FROM THE MARKET ANOTHER DAY (they broke it ourselves and did not clean it up after themselves !!! ), and then in the fact that the glass broke itself from the SUN (despite the fact that the temperature that day was the coolest during the week of stay in the sanatorium - + 25 *). Our surprise and anger increased with the arrival of a local district police officer, who greeted the guard in a "brotherly way", told us that they had no crime in principle, and also began to convince us that the glass had exploded by itself, telling us entertaining tales about the laws of physics and similar cases that have already occurred on the territory of this sanatorium. Two hours later, realizing that it would not be possible to “divorce” us (I explained that I myself work in court, and I encounter such cases at work every day), he began to persuade us not to write a statement to the police department, because “you still have nothing missing from the car. Nothing was missing from the car just because there was nothing but music discs in the bordachka. The investigator and the forensic specialist refused to go to the crime scene, because it was a day off and it was already evening (they had no time for vacationers! ). Turning on Monday to the management of the sanatorium (the head doctor and his deputy for security), we also saw absolutely indifferent reactions to the disaster. The head doctor informed us that all the cars in their paid parking lot were insured by sending us to their insurance company. The only normal person who reacted with understanding and sympathy to the misfortune that happened to us is an insurance agent who immediately, upon seeing the car, admitted that what happened was pure crime, and not a mysterious physical phenomenon! However, as a result, we were not able to receive insurance compensation, since we were not given documents for the purchased glass (we found the glass with great difficulty after a few days, having learned all the upcoming disassemblies). Throughout the second week of rest, we were in a constant state of shock: observing the disregard of the workers of the sanatorium to what happened at their paid riser (we did not hear any apologies or offers of help), looking for glass for our car, which is not common in Belarus, as a result, . there are simply no parts available for it (only on order, wait three weeks, and we leave in five days, driving almost a thousand kilometers without the front right glass is just scary! ). The guard, after the incident, fell sharply ill, and we, entering the parking lot every evening to check whether the wheels had left the car by themselves, found that none of the guards were in the parking lot all the time we were there, i. e. with machines could do anything. Until they inserted the glass on their own, they almost sat with SUCH security, because the hole was sealed with just a film, the car could have been stolen. As a result, the holiday was ruined! We were disappointed in the responsiveness, indifference and decency of Belarusians! Everything that happened was purely our problem! And as it became known to us later from vacationing fellow countrymen, on that day a large number of heavily drunk local young people came to the disco, which was held on the territory of the sanatorium, who, it is not clear why, were allowed (and were allowed later) to the closed territory of the sanatorium, apparently, from hooligan motives smash windows to Petersburgers, who apparently do not like. In short, Russians in this sanatorium are made "FOOLS", speaking in black - white with an innocent, truthful face, and this annoyed the most. Neither the security guard nor the administration bears any responsibility for the protected vehicles, therefore, I DO NOT RECOMMEND driving your own car, especially if it is quite expensive!
