A girl's look at malchuk's fun. "Stalin Line" in Minsk
Minsk is an ancient city (the year of foundation is considered to be 1067, although there is no exact date). But, you see, the history of the 20th century is closer to us. We are trying to study it first of all. Since childhood, Minsk has been associated in our minds with the Great Patriotic War. A ruined city, fighting, exploits, betrayals, human tragedies. . .
We were passing through Minsk in January 2020. The city is beautiful! Dearly loved by us. I tried to tell about our feelings for him in a short note "The lights are sparkling - red, blue... ( c)".
At some point, we changed our plans and stayed in the city for another day. A lot of military-historical things can be seen in the hero-city of Minsk. Our choice fell on the so-called "Stalin Line". To a greater extent, with my husband's feed, I wanted to play war games : ))
Stalin Line Historical and Cultural Complex is just a tiny restored piece from a huge system of military fortifications created in the 30s of the last century along the then western border of the Soviet Union, 1850 km long.
Try to find the next firing point in the photo below (there is a hint in the album):
Overview from the upper points of the Minsk fortified area
I will not reprint the history of the creation of this system of fortified areas and technical descriptions of protective structures.
All this is freely available online, for example, directly at site of the complex "Stalin Line". Toby the way, a very convenient and informative site, everything is planned. Currently, this complex is not just an open-air military historical museum - it is a platform where a lot of military-patriotic events, reconstructions, and not only dedicated to the war of 1941-45 are held.
The site of the reconstruction of military operations. Further fields, open spaces, farmland. . . And another bunker
And during the New Year holidays, there was a Christmas tree, and even the residence of Santa Claus. But we haven't gotten there yet. No, if our children's half were with us, they definitely wouldn't get away.
The day turned out to be clear and sunny. And not at all like January. Although, of course, the place is on a hill, the breeze blew. At the information desk, you can ask for an overcoat if your own clothes are poor. In our case, employees even insisted on warming.
The territory of the museum is huge.
Of course, you can take a walk on your own. Pointers, signatures are available. But it's better to take a tour. We cooperated with another family, we got a rather comfortable format - 5 people, and the price is more pleasant for a family.
It is not worth recruiting a large company, it will be uncomfortable inside the bunkers.
According to the guide, the route is designed for an hour. Dear lady, she did not suspect that the sightseers, especially the heads of families, got her meticulous, tortured her with questions, clarifications, opinions... But our guide (unfortunately, I can’t remember her name) did not disappoint! Well done! She answered every question down to the millimeter. In general, we released her in two and a half hours...
If you do not want to communicate with the guide (there are different moods), you can download an audio tour in the izi. TRAVEL application, completely free of charge. As it turned out later, it turns out that the husband had prepared for the visit while they were at the hotel and shook his phone. Well, yes, but then I forgot. It's even better, you can't ask questions to the audio guide you won't be smart : ).
For boys and girls (although there are not so many of them, but I know there are those who are interested) there is expanse here. At least for the little ones.
And especially for adults : ))
Surveying this entire exhibition is not very calm. Yep, they shoot. And even from a cannon! Yes, anyone can shoot for money. And wishing an endless stream.
An explosion package is also placed in that tank. Oooh, how it rolls! Everything is real
Yes, with the current pampering, it’s pawning, but what is it like in reality... We were with the children at the Alabino training ground at Army-2017, it seems. It was loud, but everything was somehow far away. And here it is, right there. All this explosive and shooting accompaniment helps to penetrate to the depths of the soul. But, to be honest, after a while you get used to it, you don’t flinch from the next shot... almost.
You can also ride a tank there, but this pleasure already costs a tidy sum, we were greedy. Now, if they gave the steer, my boy, perhaps, forked out, otherwise only sitting on top...
You can see a lot of things there, and most importantly, touch, touch the history not only with your hands, but also with your soul. Even if they play war games stealthily, embarrassed, and why not... after all, children learn the world around them through the game. How are we adults different from children? Most often, only body size
If you are in Minsk or nearby, if possible, take a look at historical and cultural complex "Stalin Line" . Especially with school-age children it is recommended, boys in particular. Maybe it’s not worth looking at the entire exhibition of equipment, it’s tiring, and it’s not uncommon now, but climbing pillboxes and other bunkers is a must. Oh, we hung around there for a long time. I almost learned the names of these "semi-caponiers". I served as a sentry: my husband put me on guard at the entrance so that I would signal about new visitors, and at that time he would load a cannon, for example. Yeah, there is something like that, but, however, only a guide is allowed. But I want to play. . .
And the place seems to be serious, and the theme is not the most fun, and there is no depressing mood after visiting. It tells about adult things, but it is easy and accessible.
