I chose the Strandja Hotel 3 * because of the low price, since there were 6 of us, we needed 2 rooms, and in time it was the most suitable. Since the arrival in Bulgaria is quite early, at 7 in the morning, and the check-in at 14.00, it was not very comfortable, but the rooms were occupied, so I can’t make any claims.

Since the arrival in Bulgaria is quite early, at 7 in the morning, and the check-in at 14.00, it was not very comfortable, but the rooms were occupied, so I can’t make any claims. We were given one room a little earlier, the second around 14.00. Apparently, the hotel is quite old, but inside everything is clean and tidy. The territory is large enough, a park area, a swimming pool, a court, you can play tennis and basketball, a separate large dining room with a veranda, a playground with swings and slides. The territory is good, not quite well-groomed, but it's nice to walk around. Outside the territory there is the only store "Monika", a 5-minute walk from the hotel, the prices there are cheaper than in other stores. It takes about 15 minutes to go to the sandy beach. To go down to the rocky one is about 15 meters. A 20-minute walk from the hotel is a walking area, where there are hotels and restaurants, about 5-6 establishments. There are a couple of pharmacies. Service is a solid four. The rooms were cleaned, but the bed was changed, let's say, not often. As for the food, and we only had breakfast, I can say that it is quite tasty, but monotonous. A permanent set of 20 dishes, and every two days something new can be added, something left. There was a guide at the hotel, but there was no meeting with her, on the first day she left envelopes with information. Due to the fact that we have four children and we did not take excursions, the guide's interest in us was minimal. There were no particularly vivid impressions from the hotel.

There are always beds available. The pool bar is okay, but the bartender is not at all and therefore there is never anyone there. the lifeguard does his job well, but due to the fact that the pool is empty, he is very bored and guesses crossword puzzles (together with the bartender). Dining room is so-so ordinary food. Chicken, eggs, potatoes Pasta.
We had a studio room and therefore I can say that the room was large. No plumbing. The view from the window was amazing (On the sea and in the evenings the moonlit path).
To the sea, as they said 150 meters, but it's 150 meters is a complete kapets. 150 meters up a steep staircase and access to the long-awaited beach. There is a sad look. Two rocks and between them a small entry into the sea. But after I entered, I realized that it was time to leave. After 5 meters in the sea lies a large stone for the entire width. i. e. don't buy it. In order to swim normally, you need to go uphill first, then down the mountain, and there again 150 meters up a steep staircase, but not as steep as the first one. There is a pretty good beach with a cafe. The sea is clean and good.
It is 1.5 km to the resort center. Down the mountain and then up the mountain. If you are not prepared, then this is the end. You go at least once and you don't want to again.
You can sum it up. The hotel is tolerable, the view from the window stretched out the room.
Staff for 3, more or less tolerant.
Food only chicken, sausages, rice, pasta and eggs, eggs, eggs.
The street is full of dirt and rubbish.
The hotel is located at the very top of the mountain.

I liked the hotel, the staff is friendly and positive. In the room: air conditioning, TV, they clean how often I can’t say, but there was no sand under my feet and there was no garbage either. We had a buffet breakfast, the food in the restaurant was fresh and tasty. Surprisingly, there were no mosquitoes on the territory.

Nice very quiet hotel - in a quiet cozy place - everything is immersed in greenery. Friendly staff. If you are looking for privacy, you are there. There is a wild beach. Crabs, mussels. For entertainment - 15 minutes walk to Golden Sands. There are civilized beaches and partying. The bus to Varna is also nearby.

For entertainment - 15 minutes walk to Golden Sands. There are civilized beaches and partying. The bus to Varna is also nearby. We personally did not have enough time. 8 days is desperately short. But it is better not to change money at the hotel. Strongly undervalued course. We had dollars. Much more profitable to pay with a credit card, and in cafes and supermarkets. Even market traders in Golden Sands have terminals. We were more or less tasty only at the Flirt fish restaurant. Food at the hotel (fortunately, we only have breakfast) is standard. Canteen. In general, it’s not tasty in Bulgaria. But we’re flying to the sea..... Therefore. if you do not bother over trifles, then everything was fine.

So: Carrier: We got there in 24 hours. From them, customs went through 3 hours for both (Ukraine-Romania). Stopped a couple of times for gas stations and another snack. And back all 27 hours rode. Despite the fact that the border was passed quickly enough. Looks like he was warming up more kindly, like oil was flowing from him, and he smelt slowly.

Despite the fact that the border was passed quickly enough. Looks like he was warming up more kindly, like oil was flowing from him, and he smelt slowly. Didn't stop for a snack. The air conditioners on the bus worked well.
We were picked up from the highway by the resort's transfer and taken to the hotel.
Hotel: I was very inspired that we were settled immediately, at 8-00 in the morning. Room 2 + 2: well, to put it mildly, I will have a smaller apartment. , armchair, table, cabinet, TV (with one Russian channel NTVmir), air conditioning, balcony. No hair dryer. Towels and bed changed every other day. and football stadium.
Hotel location: this is the Golden Sands region, and I consider this a big plus. Walking in the evening on foot with a child in Zol. peski, I started to get a terrible headache from the rumble. That is, I can’t imagine falling asleep in a hotel, even any there. Yes, and the prices for the same souvenirs, snacks, etc. are many times different.
Beach: In front of the hotel there is a steep ravine, a steep staircase to the sea passes by the construction site. I do not advise you to go to this beach with a pile of stones and concrete blocks. A little further 100 meters is the small hotel Brigantine with the inscription beach on the gate, go along the path with roses, go behind the hotel and see a decent staircase leading to a wild, but clean beach, next to a small snack bar with beer and french fries. Minus - rocky entrance to the sea. You can also quietly go to the beach on the Riviera. With a child, the cat does not like to walk, we went without tension. Behind the Adis boarding house, we turn into the Beach gate onto the stairs, there is a good Chaika beach below and a gate to the Riviera on the side. There are areas where you can sit with your umbrella. The entrance to the water is sandy. They say that there are souls with mineral and hydrogen sulfide water. Minus the sea is stormy here. If without stairs, then Kabakum beach. On the other side of the Riviera and beyond.
Food: We only had breakfast at the hotel. There are supermarkets. There is a place to eat, for example: Danton district, Flirt district, a little further to the Journalist (or Kabakum) pizzeria and the Ryben restaurant, which we have chosen, is located on the corner. We preferred to have dinner in it.
You can also take pizza, wine, fruit and go to the beach in the evening (according to the first option), which we did. I liked this dinner more.
Of the minuses: there is no animation (it would probably be stupid to expect it from 3 *). There weren’t enough sunbeds by the pool, and especially umbrellas (according to my calculations, there are only 30 sunbeds, and there won’t be 10 umbrellas. )
The hotel is not suitable for vacationers with small children (with strollers), the elderly with sore joints and modern youth who want entertainment.

We were not informed that the hotel is actually not located in the Golden Sands resort itself, but at some distance from it. At first we were upset by this circumstance, but then it turned out that for a relaxing holiday with a child - this location of the hotel is very suitable. Silence at night, cicadas chirping, squirrels live in a small park on the territory of the hotel and sometimes jump onto the balcony : ) The hotel looks like an ordinary Soviet-built building. The rooms are clean, cleaned every day, but without fanaticism (they take out the trash, bring toilet paper, soap, etc. , if it's over; linen is changed once a week). You need to walk 10-15 minutes to the beach, a steep descent. Please note that there was a landslide a few years ago, as a result of which some buildings located closer to the sea than the Strandzha Hotel were destroyed and are now abandoned. In the dining room would take only breakfast, not bad, but monotonous. Buffet, many dishes, but every day the same. For breakfast it will do, but if you constantly have lunch and dinner there, you will quickly get bored. It is better to go around all the nearby restaurants and find the best one for yourself. We liked the restaurant "Golden Fish" the most - delicious, inexpensive, the waiters Ponko and Eva (of course, it is unlikely that the same waiters will be in another season: because the work is temporary) very responsive, cheerful : )
Toilet, shower in the room. Safe at the reception, extra charge. Money was changed right at the hotel, the rate was normal.
The hotel is suitable for economical holidays, as well as families with children. For youth companies, it is better to find a hotel directly in the resort town of Golden Sands.

At first, I was upset by the fact that the hotel was not located in Golden Sands, but in the Chaika area, but then I appreciated the beauty of its remoteness. Hang out - you can also take a walk to Golden Sands, it's a 20-minute walk, but the hotel is quiet and you can sleep peacefully, which is not possible on Golden Sands at night! And the beach is located directly under the hotel, you just need to go down the stairs, you can walk to the beach of the Riviera hotel 5 minutes walk, or "Journalists" 10 minutes.

The hotel itself was built 30 years ago. Inside is normal, but on top is a full bucket. For a week of stay, neither bed linen nor towels were ever changed, although they should do this every 3 days. They are removed ruthlessly. Walk at least half a kilometer to the beach. To the center of Golden Sands - 3 km along a littered road. The sea is dirty with huge stinging jellyfish and a bunch of algae. Not Bulgaria, but a complete dump - the Crimea of the 90s.
