We stopped at the Perunik hotel, oddly enough, most of the reviews on the Internet were either positive, or those negative points were indicated that did not bother us at all (such as noisy and drunken companies of young people who interfere with sleep).
Rested with my wife and our girlfriend. On the second day, we met a group of Germans and talked to them at the entrance to the hotel. First, a security guard came up and demanded to move away from the entrance to the hotel. We showed him the bracelets, saying that we live here, but he insisted on his own. This was the first call. Then, we went up with one of the Germans to our room (he wanted to go to the toilet, and toilets are paid at the hotel reception). When we left, the same guard approached us and demanded to pay a fine for bringing a guest to us (20 lev, about 500 rubles). The German immediately handed the money to the guard, which he immediately pocketed. The guard moved to the hotel, and I followed him, demanding that he show us the rules of the hotel, which include a fine for bringing guests to the room (as it turned out, nothing of the kind existed in the rules), in addition, I demanded that they punch check (this is already at the reception). Following me came my wife (a fragile girl about 48 kg), she stood between me and the guard. The guard periodically touched me, pushed me, during our bickering. I told him to stop pushing me, or I will answer him. The first blow came to my wife's head, then I remember only fragments. They beat me hard, from different sides, about 6 people. They beat two hotel security guards, and, apparently, their comrades, who hung out by the pool and at the entrance to the Muppet karaoke bar (located in the hotel building). As a result, I ended up by the pool, which is 15 meters from the reception. While flying around the territory, breaking furniture, I remember footage of my wife and girlfriend being beaten, how they are trying to hit back, I remember how I am lying on the tiles by the pool, and one of these scumbags, grabbing my wife by the hair, sticks her head into the ground . The girls were beaten with hands and feet, on the head, chest and stomach.
I'm not squishy at all, about 90 kg, I'm in pretty good physical shape, but I haven't been able to hit anyone. They were beaten by people who had been boxing or kickboxing or other martial arts for many years. As a result, a broken rib (a kick to the stomach) combined with a lot of hematomas in a friend; stretching of the ligaments of the arm, a severe bruise of the lower leg, a bump on the head and many bruises all over the body of the wife; I have a concussion, abrasions on my head, arms and legs, broken lips, a black eye, hematomas, something with my collarbone.
The woman at the reception did not interfere, did not call the police, or an ambulance, or the consul. She refused to give us any help, forgot the Russian language, almost stopped understanding English. He called the police and an ambulance from his mobile phone, called 10 times, waited about an hour. The police arrived, chatted with the guards, smoked, they did not listen to us. We just said "shit", pointing to a bottle of green liquid that stood in the corner (one of the hotel guests brought the bottle - a German, to put a cold one on my wife's head. The German immediately announced that this was his bottle, The policeman replied - get out of here! ). The police left. We called them again, they came again and did not communicate with us, saying that we needed an official translator.
I made a call to the guide (it was already around 4 am), explained the situation to her. The guide said that she would arrive in the morning (about 8 o'clock) and take us to the police, she would be an interpreter. Everything that happened was supposed to be filmed on CCTV cameras in the hotel, where it is perfectly clear that I did not inflict a single blow, and the girls only tried to stop the beating. We left the police at about 13 o'clock in the afternoon (still awake, I was shaking). The investigator described to us that, according to local laws, the guards would be given a warning, but no punishment would follow. In order to achieve something, it was necessary to go to "forensic medicine", shoot beatings there, look for a lawyer and sue. I was no longer able, my head couldn’t think, it was hot, I was sick, I didn’t sleep, didn’t eat...
At that time, we spent 100 euros (a deductible for a medical examination for girls - I refused), about 30 dollars on the phone, we realized that we would have to pay more money for relocation to another hotel. It was only the second day, we decided not to spoil our vacation completely, went to the hotel and passed out for 18 hours.
We were told that these guards were fired, but as soon as we moved to another hotel (for a 200 euro surcharge), these guards began to work in Perunik again.
The police did nothing more, the guide said that the case was hushed up. As soon as we returned from the police, the insurance VSK started calling and called 50 times, demanding that we collect documents from the police, or pay money to the insurance for the provision of medical services. Neither the hotel, nor the police, so the insurance company did not give any answer.
Called and wrote to the consulate, to the Russian news, but no result. Apparently, the situation is completely ordinary, no one wanted to deal with it.
Communicating with other vacationers, we constantly heard that everywhere they were fined for everything, everywhere and everyone was stealing... In the same Perunik, the parents of a child who swam in the pool at 17:30 were fined 20 levs. The locals are, in principle, very unfriendly, they look angry, they answer rudely, no one smiles. Naturally, all the fines go exclusively into your pocket, the guards purposefully squeeze out money.
I understand that our situation is rather an unfortunate exception. I just want everyone to know that on the territory of Bulgaria you are completely defenseless if something happens to you and you don’t have a couple of thousand dollars extra with you (for a lawyer, legal costs, phone calls, taxis, examinations, renewal of hotel rooms ), the possibility to extend the vacation for at least a couple of weeks. . . In any case, the prices do not match the quality. There is nothing special to see there, nothing remarkable, the sea and beaches, as elsewhere. At the resort itself, prices are 5 times more expensive than in the nearest city - Varna (according to the taxi driver, Varna is the most expensive city in Bulgaria). In Turkey, Egypt and Thailand (where we have been before), the service is incomparably better, the prices are more pleasant, the food is better, all the locals are responsive and friendly. We will never go to Bulgaria again and do not advise anyone.

Terrible place! I strongly advise you not to go! The staff is very rude, they understand Russian and English poorly, and when there is a conflict situation, they generally cease to understand. In the room on the second day in a duvet cover, we found other people's panties !! ! And the bed was changed only after a major scandal! Food.

Food... there is plenty to choose from, but once I got very poisoned - they took me to the doctor, they put me on a drip...
The rooms are not cleaned well, the linen is changed very rarely - once a week, and this is if you ask, otherwise they will not change at all
In front of the hotel in the evening and at night there are a lot of prostitutes + they openly sell drugs... in short!
Bottom line: if you want to throw money away, then you have chosen the right vacation spot!

The best hotel in Golden Sands for young people. Everything is close and everything is great. The hotel is located on Party Street, so there is a constant movement! In short, cool, but not for old people and children

Everything would be fine, but our number was robbed. They kicked out the door, apparently with a kick, and took away almost all the clothes. They knew that we were not in the room, they knew that we did not take the safe at the reception. All this information was only at the servants. The girls at the reception immediately stopped understanding Russian, the guide from the host (USB Travel) tried to convince us that it was our fault, because we did not put things in the safe (? ).

The girls at the reception immediately stopped understanding Russian, the guide from the host (USB Travel) tried to convince us that it was our fault, because we did not put things in the safe (? ).
The director of the hotel, a certain Ivanova, did not hesitate to suggest that maybe it was our friends or we ourselves arranged such entertainment.
There is no video surveillance on the floors, only for excuses near some entrance doors on the first floor.
The police pulled the cat by the tail and waited for us to leave.
As it turned out, they have several such cases a day.
If we talk about Golden Sands in general, then even without this incident, the impression of money wasted was left.
Feeding was monotonous and not very tasty.
Strongly brought prostitutes on the street, grabbing hands.
Now this hotel passes as **, then they tried to present it as *** and even with +.
The same, but for less money can be obtained in the Crimea in the same Evpatoria. Especially in small private hotels, which my niece has been doing for several years after a trip to Bulgaria.
According to the reviews of acquaintances, in recent years Golden Sands has been rapidly falling in terms of the quality of service, while raising prices.
