Rooms - are divided into rooms overlooking the sea and overlooking the neighboring hotel (the park). We opted for the park view. Firstly, it is cheaper, and secondly, it is not on the sunny side (more cool). By the way, you can also see the sea. The first impression of the room is not very good due to the old faded carpet on the floor. The room is small. Two single beds together and a folding chair, a dressing table with a mirror, two bedside tables, a wardrobe.
Small TV. Showed not very high quality, but . . tolerable. About 50 channels, 2 of which are Russian-speaking, 1 channel and RTVI. There is also a toilet, washbasin and shower in the room. Hot and cold water around the clock, pressure is good. Each room has a balcony. On the balcony there are two plastic chairs and a table. That's probably all about the room. Yes - room cleaning every day, linen changed on the 4th day.
FOOD. Restaurant and outdoor terrace. Feed 5 times! From booze - in the restaurant - Beer, Wine red, rose and white. In the pool bar - in addition - hard drinks and cocktails. In the bar and on the beach - Beer and cola - All inclusive. There is a lot of food and a great selection. It's too long to describe everything. A few words . . Breakfast - 5-6 types of sausages, 5-6 types of cheese, corn flakes, chocolate, oatmeal. Hot and cold milk. Hot chocolate, several types of coffee. Salads, etc. etc. Sausages and meatballs on the grill.............. Fruits, pies and ice creams. You won't be left hungry.
Ate. Then we move the body 15 meters from the restaurant to the funicular and, surveying the views, we get to our own beach. Choose a place to your liking. Sun loungers and umbrellas as well as beer and cola are included. The sea is clean and warm.
I want to note the comfort of the restaurant "Captain Drake" and its owner, Mrs. Rositsa. Restaurant near the exit from the funicular. The menu is varied. We preferred seafood. Mussels, squid, tsatsa (small fish without bones), red mullet (also but larger), shrimp and beer. Everything is very cheap and nice. Will you say hello from Victor and Victoria.
The hotel pool is wonderful. Clean and warm water. Again, sun loungers and umbrellas. Bar.
Animations and entertainment - On the beach - Playing some kind of metal balls and volleyball. In the pool, fitness and darts. In the hotel bar there is a disco and nast. tennis.
The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. They speak Russian.
In general, all the Bulgarians with whom we communicated are ALL very good and helpful people.
Euros can be changed at the hotel or in the shop above the hotel at the rate of 1 euro = 1.85 leva. You can go along the upper road (from the hotel up and to the right) to the center there course 1.9. There are also souvenir restaurants . . You can return to the hotel along the sea along the promenade. Go to Captain Drake and up the stairs to the hotel, since by this time the funicular will no longer work.
In general, for the money the hotel is just super. Because it's ALL included. Shall we go again? I don’t know . . Maybe. But I want variety. HAVE A GREAT REST ALL!!
Yes, be sure to go to the Aquapolis water park. Bus 409. Ticket price 1.6 leva. Taxi is more expensive than 8 leva do not agree. If you bargain, then they will take you for 7-6 leva. GOOD LUCK!

Probably from the fact that the travel agency (Ecotourism) and its precious manager Anya sent us to Golden Sands for three stars. So when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are terrible, in the winter there is a student hostel, a tourist from Varna let us know about this, even minimal repairs have not been done, the walls are peeling, there are smudges on the ceiling, etc. Food is generally a separate conversation. I thought that there is no worse Turkish three-ruble note, but it turns out that there is no limit to "perfection". The food is not the same, it is the SAME every day!! ! Even more or less breakfast, but for lunch my child had nothing to eat except boiled potatoes. There was never any meat. There were soy patties, huh. For dinner - french fries, stewed potatoes, plus chicken. And so every day. In fact, not everyone had enough ice cream, however, as well as sometimes wine, beer - they ended at least in the middle of lunch or dinner. We also had a conflict with the owner of the hotel-hostel - a fat Armenian Edik, who, shaking his lower lip, threatened to evict us, "Russians". The fact that we are Belarusians, he did not listen, but only yelled that all Russians are assholes. The only way to calm him down was to threaten to call the police. The bar is actually open until 19-00, probably so that they don’t drink a lot. And the tables in front of the bar are near the sewer, so you can’t even sit there because of the smell. There is really nowhere to go out in the evening, this is not a resort, this is the countryside !!! ! If the room does not have a sea view, then it has a view of the construction site, it is 5-10 meters from the hotel. By the way, linen seems to be changed, but towels - 1 time. And then, they put one big one for three people and did not respond to our requests, as well as to requests to change burnt out light bulbs. In general, we are simply shocked by such a vacation, and although the travel agency said that people go there year after year - a lie! We did not meet a single person there who was pleased with what he saw. The only thing to which there are no complaints is the beach, clean and tidy. And I also liked the sauna - everyone was given a coupon for one free visit. Well, here are my impressions of the rest, I did not expect this, although we always have a family vacation in economy class. In particular, we were in Golden Sands at the Blue Sky Hotel (then also two stars), and were very pleased with absolutely everything.

To begin with, I liked the hotel... We immediately went with the mindset that it was still 2 * + But even these two stars were very pleased... Maybe for someone the lack of a shower or Jacuzzi is the end of the world, but for us the shower was quite comfortable. … More ▾ To begin with, I liked the hotel... The room was on the ground floor overlooking the pool and the sea. . . The room is nice, clean, with a large bed, TV. . . Maybe for someone the lack of a shower or Jacuzzi is the end of the world, but for us the shower was quite comfortable... I was pleased with the balcony, it's nice to sit on it, especially in the evening. . .
The reception staff is very friendly... Almost everyone has minimal knowledge of either Russian or English... Cleaning consisted of taking out the garbage, maybe they vacuumed it once, they didn’t change the bed (according to reviews for many, this is terrible, well, I don’t know which ones to go to bed in bed to spoil it in 7 days... ).
The food was good, not much variety though. For breakfast, melted cheese, boiled sausages of several types, sausages, pasta with cottage cheese, croissants with and without fillings, small puffs, cereals, yogurts, hot and cold drinks (I list what I remember). For lunch, two types of the first, salads, there was always food for vegetarians and those who are on a diet, rice with meat, stewed cabbage, chicken thighs and frogs, for dinner there was always french fries, cutlets or grilled long sausages, salads, sauces and etc. Always beer, red and white wine. Never been hungry. . .
The bar near the pool is open until 19.00, there is any Bulgarian-made alcohol: beer, liqueurs, rakia, rum, vodka, they make cocktails, just 5 types of sweet water, cooler. In the bar on the beach, beer and sweet water are free, food and other alcoholic drinks are paid... There are many umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach, free of charge, also near the pool...
The cable car is open until 19.00, a great thing, somewhere in the reviews they wrote about a cliff of 9 floors - STUPID... There is one place where the maximum is the 4th floor, and you ride smoothly over the trees, and you never lost your flip flops, there is a special footrest, and those who swing them in all directions should not be surprised !! ! The road takes about 5 minutes. . . It's not scary at all, but on the contrary, I really liked it, getting in and out is very convenient, there are always men (guys) at the landing who help. . . Nothing creaks or staggers. . .
I warn you right away, the hotel is not in the city. There is no special entertainment there... A couple of cafes, shops and bowling... If you want entertainment, after 500 meters on the road from the hotel there is a stop, take the 406 bus and even go to Varna, the bus runs steadily until 23.00 (I personally saw it).
Near the pool there are tables and chairs where you can relax, drink cocktails, play cards, etc. Internet is paid, 1 hour - 2 leva, which is about 1 euro. (there is skype, microphone) Billiards and table tennis - FREE OF CHARGE. You take the “inventory” at the reception and play even until you are blue in the face... Safe 5 euros for a week... Very convenient... Swim in the pool at least around the clock, just asked in the evening and at night not to splash very loudly... The territory is green, beautiful. . .
If you have any questions about the hotel, write (when you were going to go to Bona Vita, all the reviews themselves climbed, and there was no one to ask or clarify anything, so if you are interested in something, write, feel free to know - tell)

Bona Vita is a shabby Soviet-type boarding house, where they have not heard anything about good service, customer care, and they know little about elementary conscience. But first things first. But first things first.
We stayed at the end of July 2010. We arrived at 12 in the morning after 15 hours of a tiring bus ride, went into the hall, which, unlike the photo, turned out to be very shabby, with sagging furniture and tattered dirty carpet. We immediately learned that there is no left-luggage office, bags need to be stored right in the lobby and wait until you are settled. When asked if they could check us in as soon as possible, we were told in a peremptory tone that check-in was at 2. Be prepared for the fact that in Bona Vita they don’t really talk to customers, they are like annoying flies that they brush off. By the way, meet the general manager of the hotel - a fair-haired woman named Ina, she has no understanding of politeness, friendliness and who pays her salary. Favorite word "No", favorite facial expression symbolizes, to put it mildly, "How did you all get me sick. " When asked to settle us lower (there is no elevator in the hotel), Ina angrily replied that "everyone wants to be lower. "
So, we were settled. New surprises awaited us in the room. Half of the light bulbs in the room do not work, the walls are shabby, the doors of the closet, bath and entrance intersect, so you need to contrive to open them, the pressure from the shower is so small that we had to wash under the tap. The faucet and shower are pushed into a small toilet so that when washing, you will definitely flood everything - a mirror, toilet paper, soap, etc. There is nowhere to hang a towel in the shower / toilet. But our room compared to the number of friends is just a fairy tale, they had hot water flowing from both taps, while the water did not switch to the shower at all, the toilet bowl flowed when the water was flushed. Ina responded to requests to fix it with the same nauseating expression on her face, the hot water from two taps was repaired with grief in half, there was no non-switching shower.
There was no armchair in our room, and there was nowhere to put things, we asked to give us any chair, even plastic. At our request, Ina was not too ceremonious, she simply said “No”, neither “unfortunately, we do not have free chairs”, nor “sorry, we do not provide such a service”, just “NO”.
On the way to Bulgaria, we were also told that the passports should be left at the reception for their best safety. This is exactly what we did, but the next day they threw our passports at us, indignant that we “threw” them at the reception.
Now about food. Plates are washed very conditionally, maybe after one. That is, a greasy feeling and sticky pieces of food on a plate are a common occurrence. Lack of variety, meager amount of meat - that's okay. The most disgusting thing is that morning salads smoothly turned into lunch salads, this was at 40-degree heat and the duration of 1 meal was 2 hours, and lunch salads, supplemented with lunch pasta, were served for dinner. Instead of juice, diluted Yuppi-type powders were given, ordinary chlorinated water flowed from the filters, apparently, the tanks were filled from the tap.
The funicular operates from 9 am to 7 pm, respectively, in the mornings and evenings it is very difficult to get to the sea. You can, of course, use the broken-down stairs through the forest, the road will take about 20 minutes there and 30 back, because uphill.
There is no habit of greeting in the morning at the reception. Although the girls, when Ina is not there, seem to be trying to answer questions. They understand Russian poorly and do not know anything, neither where to change money, nor when the Internet will be, by the way, it is paid.
Despite the fact that we were told that the hotel is located in Golden Sands, you will have to go by bus or taxi to Golden Sands itself, it is impossible to walk along the beach, the area will end with a cape.
Of the positive moments, I remember only the funicular, a fairly clean beach, and a pool near the hotel.
However, the event of the last day finally crossed out a few positive emotions. Things were stolen from our friends, they pulled them out of the room and did not even bother to zip the bag back, thank God, the money was kept in a safe. To the complaint about the theft, Ina answered literally the following: “Prove that you had this thing. The cleaner will not steal, because everyone will immediately think of her. I won't call her. She lives 50 km from here. If you don't like something, call the police. "
By the way, check-out at 12 noon, and the fact that the bus is at 8 pm does not bother anyone, you will not be able to have lunch and dinner, as well as go down the funicular to the beach for free. And why, you still have to guard the bags, because there is no left-luggage office.
In general, the hotel looks like a starless boarding house somewhere near Odessa. I am not spoiled by 5-star hotels, but you have to be completely unpretentious in order to somehow adequately perceive this hotel. I hope this review will help you not to get into trouble, choose another, normal hotel and enjoy your vacation!

The cable car was built in Soviet times, and although the hostess assured us that everything was checked before the start of the season, it was somehow scary when there was a nine-story high cliff under you. Once we walked, this action took about 15 minutes, and most importantly, you walk along an abandoned road, sometimes completely overgrown and dirty. But overall, we enjoyed our trip!

The food was varied only during the first 5 days (fish was only once (fried) in 2 weeks), stew with rice (pilaf type) 2 times, cutlets, rolls and sausages with specific spices, edible one or two from salads. Everyone noticed trend: what we didn’t eat yesterday and in the morning - we finish it at lunch and in the evening... And for all two weeks - CHICKEN !!! , as well as derivatives from it: boiled eggs, scrambled eggs or fried eggs for breakfast, chicken legs or fried thighs and chicken soup, in the evening - again the same chicken, only with hodgepodge or french fries. Drinks (cola, sprite and mirinda were often diluted, and spirits (white and red wine) were naturally the cheapest... ) croissants in the morning, cookies from the store and tiny cakes (albeit fresh ones) in the afternoon and in the evening. From fruits - apples, plums, oranges and a day later - watermelons. I don’t know about others, but we didn’t want to go to a restaurant for the second week...
At the expense of cleaning the room... For 2 weeks, the linen was changed 3 times, cleaning (this is the removal of garbage and the appearance of vacuuming, the balcony has never been cleaned for 2 weeks... )
The cable car is cool! But before 9 and after 19 you won’t get to the beach... but you want... the steps are all broken and go among the bushes (imagine what it's like to walk in the dark and up such a road! )
Bring beach towels with you as towels cannot be taken out of the room.
BUT, MOST IMPORTANTLY - IF YOU BOOK ROOMS, KEEP IN MIND THAT ROOMS WITH A VIEW OF THE SO-CALLED PARK ZONE WILL BE ROOM AND WITH A VIEW OF THE CONSTRUCTION CONSTRUCTION !!!! ! WHICH WORKS FROM 9 AM TO 6 PM!!!
The beach is clean, it is looked after, sunbeds with mattresses, but tents are for a fee (40 lev), and they are mostly used by the owner's relatives and friends. In the bar on the beach, the same cola, sprite, mirinda and plain water are free of charge - nothing more.
Rest mainly Poles, Moldovans, Belarusians, Ukrainians and Russians...
Yes, there is a good spa-center (for a fee), a good pool, and for children there are only two pairs of swings, two tables and a sandbox...
There is table football, tennis and billiard tables. . . (free of charge). Disco in the hotel from 9 pm to 1 am every day. There are few shops, but there is a stop nearby from where you can get to Varna (30 minutes by bus, which run quite often).
The hotel is 5 floors without an elevator, if you have small children, order a low floor right away.
In principle, you can go there, but not more than a week, otherwise you will go crazy with boredom.
