We rested at the Royl Palm 2 * hotel (St. Vlas) in the second half of June 2018. Two adults and two children (1.6 and 3.8 years old). I must say right away that for a budget holiday in an apartment - it’s normal, you can go! We flew from Minsk, at 9 am we were already at the hotel. Didn't check in earlier, they said the room was busy. They left their suitcases right on the first floor, they don’t have a separate room where you can leave luggage on a turn-key basis. On the ground floor there is a toilet, washed, changed and went to the beach. At 13 we were given the key, no one lived in the room before us, the boiler was cold, the light was simply turned off. We were immediately told at the reception that this is the cheapest hotel in the resort, and they repeated this to all visitors)) so it’s understandable that they save on everything. Especially on dishes. The kitchen is equipped with a small refrigerator, kettle, two-burner electric stove. There were three pieces of dishes: cups, glasses, spoons, forks, flat plates, deep plates (these were all with beaten edges). There was a knife. Two pans were in a very sad state, I think it’s impossible to cook on them, we bought parchment and covered the pan, so we warmed our food, it turned out to be very convenient, you don’t need to wash it)) there was no pan, we asked for two days, I’ll omit the nuances, but we need a pan brought a new and giant. We took with us cutlery, disposable plates, a sponge, a rag, dishwashing detergent, everything came in handy. There are no questions about the bathroom, there was always enough water in the boiler for four, water, like everywhere else, almost spilled over the entire bathroom, but did not stagnate, ventilation always worked. There was a wardrobe in the room, there were three hangers, three beds (not comfortable, with springs), two together, one separately, bedside tables and a TV (it showed well and a lot of ours), I would like more space in the room (with small children) , especially when compared with a balcony, it is larger than a room. Children rode scooters there. Check-out at 12, it cannot be extended in any way, even for money, they say the flow is large, the cheapest hotel in the resort (the most popular phrase of the hotel). The location of the hotel is very convenient. The beach is very close, with small children we walked for 15 minutes, adults will reach in 5 minutes. We could see the sea from the windows, the view is very beautiful, I have remained in my memory for a long time, I think. I think the beaches are small, but clean, the sea is calm, shallow. The weather was often rainy, thunderstorms were strong, but this did not stop us from going to the beach twice a day and walking around the resort. Mercury is relatively further away, but also not stressful. Nearby there are small shops with milk, vegetables, fruits, and no more expensive than in Mercury. We bought food in the culinary in Mercury, excellent, do not be afraid, everything is delicious and fresh, fish, hot cutlets are often taken already, there is a large flow of tourists and locals, ready-made food is not stale there for sure.
The hotel area is very decent, beautiful, clean, a turtle and cats live) there is a playground, everything was in order, and there were several slides and swings. There are two pools, an adult and a children's one, we didn't swim, but they always seemed to be clean.
The resort of St. Vlas itself was very pleasant, quiet, compact, the main part is apartments, not giant hotels! In the hotel, only the cries of seagulls were heard, at 5 in the morning, and so silence, no buses, no entertainment and animation until the morning, quiet, we really liked it. There is a lot of greenery, far from the hotel to the well-known marina, of course, but with small children we got there normally, but once was enough, there is nothing special to consider there. We went uphill, the view of the resort is beautiful, there is an ecological path, we did not go. There is a church of St. Atanasia, you can go in, very old, interesting, cozy. Prices in the nearest cafes seemed to us approximately comparable, everywhere it was delicious. Would we go to this hotel again? Most likely yes, if you had to choose a relatively budget vacation at sea, but you would go with your own pan)) You just need to prepare well, as in all trips in principle, and take a good mood with you and the rest will be a vacation!
