We were in Sozopol at the end of August. This is a great time when it is still warm, but there are already much fewer tourists. "Poseidon" is an excellent hotel for tourists who want to see more, taste better and at the same time live in comfortable conditions. "Poseidon" is an excellent hotel for tourists who want to see more, taste better and at the same time live in comfortable conditions. The hotel is very conveniently located: in the very center of the New City, right opposite the stop where tourists are brought and from which everyone is always picked up, so you don’t have to drag your suitcases far, you just need to cross the road. Just as long you do not have to stomp to the beaches (on average, 5 minutes walking step). There are 2 beaches in Sozopol: Harmanite (large, with constant waves and a shell beach) and one more, I don’t remember the name (it’s smaller, but there are plenty of places to sit on the sand; it is naturally divided into 2 zones: a zone of complete calm, where there are many kids and the wave zone). Both beaches are quite clean, they have paid umbrellas and sunbeds, as well as free areas where you can sunbathe on your belongings. I also want to warn you that almost all Bulgarian beaches are sunbathing topless, and the sight is not always pleasant.
Throughout the city, literally on every corner, there are all possible restaurants and eateries for every taste and every pocket. It is very convenient that almost all offer a lunch menu. For 6 lev you can get a good set lunch. My husband and I took one three-course set lunch + 1 soup - we ate to satiety. For lunch, I recommend a restaurant near the exit from the beach with a refreshing irrigation system. There are very tasty soups and pleasantly cooled by mist. And in the evening I recommend visiting the restaurant "Kufarite" (very tasty and exquisitely prepared). In general, in Bulgaria you should definitely try sach, kavirma, mish-mash, etc.
The Old City from Passeidon is also not far away, about 15 minutes on foot. The old city is very beautiful, crowded, bright and loud. I advise you to succumb to romance at least once and have dinner in one of the restaurants on the fortress wall right above the sea. It will cost you more than in the New City, but the surroundings are amazing. Souvenirs, by the way, are also more profitable to buy in the New City, save about 1 lev on each. It is better to go out to the Old City for a walk at 6 o'clock in order to admire the streets, houses and ruins of the fortress wall until dark. Also, be sure to go to the port, take a walk among the fashionable yachts, and if your desire and means allow you, take a boat ride along the coast. A sightseeing tour costs 10 lev per person, takes place in the evening from 18:00, lasts approximately 75 minutes. It's worth it. I also recommend to go for a walk in Burgas. It costs 4 leva per person one way. Buses leave from a stop in the Old City every half an hour. Drive for about an hour. Burgas is a well-groomed, beautiful developing city. I advise you to take a walk through the Seaside Park, and then walk along Aleksandrovskaya Street.
Now about the hotel itself. The fact that it is conveniently located you have already understood. The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay. New furniture: wardrobe, soft bed, table, chairs, mirror, cabinets; TV with Russian channels, a small new refrigerator, air conditioning, which we turned on only 2 times. The bathroom has good plumbing, but the floor is drained, so be careful after the shower, as the floor will be slippery for a long time. The room has free Internet access (the hostess provides the cable). The room was cleaned every day. Change of linen and towels 1 time in 3 days.
Very nice and friendly owners and staff. In general, we liked it.
If you want to be in the center, then Poseidon is for you!

Travel agency in Minsk: "Lazy".
Host in Bulgaria: "Teddy Cam".

Departure from Minsk was at 4-00 am. At 6-00 we were already in Burgas, where we were met by a representative of the host country Slavik. And after 10 minutes, we and another 7-8 people were rolling towards Sozopol in an IVECO minibus. By the way, there was another representative of Teddy Cam at the airport - a girl, to whom a huge number of tourists from Belarus went. Apparently, they were heading to one of the big resorts in Bulgaria like Sunny Beach (to be honest, I was glad that much fewer people were driving in our direction).
At about 7-00 we were already at the Poseidon Hotel. The host took us to the room, which was exactly the same as in the photo on the Internet. The hostess is excellent, she always tried to help us and understand.
The room had: a double bed, air conditioning, a wardrobe, a table with a mini-fridge (mini-bar), a mirror, two bedside tables, two stools, a table with two ottomans-chairs, another chair with a back, a hanger-dryer and /y with a standard Bulgarian shower, which has a drain right in the floor. A room with a small balcony that overlooked the street with other hotels, and on the left even a little bit of the sea was visible. Of the dishes in the room were 2 glasses. We assumed that this would be the case, so we took a couple of plates, forks and spoons with us.
From the hotel it is quite close to both beaches of Sozopol: to the smaller city beach go along the streets for about 5 minutes, to the beginning of Harmanite go about 7 minutes and then about five minutes to go further along the beach to more free spaces; . We always went to Harmanite - and there are more places, and not so shallow.
There are a couple of places on Haramanité beach where you can put umbrellas right next to the sea, but since we came to the beach at 10 o’clock, there were already a lot of people there. Therefore, we walked closer to the Bikini beach bar and put our umbrella (bought in Sozopol for 8 leva, but, basically, they are 10 lev) behind white umbrellas 4-5m from the sea, and this suited us just fine. A beach mat (straw) was also bought in Sozopol for 2 leva.
The weather was excellent except for 3 days when it was warm, but it rained in the first half of the day, and the last 2 days, when the air temperature dropped to about +16, it became quite cold and it rained intermittently. On sunny days the air temperature was about +25-27 degrees.
The sea was a bit cold for me. There was no such thing as going into the sea and not feeling whether you went into the water or not. But very clean, just super - transparent, transparent.
Food.
In some cafes there was a lunch menu, mostly for 5 lev: some soup, a main course and dessert. We took one serving for 2 plus something to drink and that was enough for us. Portions are quite decent, for dinner sometimes they took 2 of some dishes plus beer, it turned out at a cost of about 20 lev. Most often we ate at "Diamanta" near Harmanite - and the waitresses are very friendly, and the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is good. We went to Ribari a couple of times - very tasty, just super, we especially liked the breaded mussels (6.66 leva) and the Fantasia saw - chicken fillet pieces in some kind of sauce (9.99 leva). They also took the fish "Chernokop" (9.90 leva) there, but it did not impress us. 10% of the order was left as a tip.
Fruits and vegetables were bought in a shop in the market - as soon as you enter the market, to the right to the corner and then the entrance to the left. Everything was cheaper there than in the stalls on the street, the main thing was that the delivery was good. Peaches, nectarines, apricots cost about 1.6-2 leva.
They also bought black olives with a stone for 4.5 leva. And there they once bought smoked pork ribs - not to be compared with what they sell in our markets - gnawed bones; , and here - a layer of meat is two or three times thicker than the bone itself. Cherries were bought near the market in the last tray, which is closer to the old city. It cost about 3.5 - 3.8 lev, large and without living creatures inside.
In the morning we bought baked goods "Topli Snacks" (located right next to the hotel) - fresh, tasty. Also very tasty pancakes with different fillings near the hotel "Selena".
Products were usually bought at the Bolero supermarket. Here is a small layout for prices in leva: Schweppes 1.5l - 1.95; Amstel beer (not impressed) 0.5l - 1.55 +0.25 for the glass bottle itself, Kamenitsa beer (not bad) 0.5l - 0.8 +0.25 for the glass bottle itself, sheep cheese for 1kg - 6.29; goat cheese for 1kg - 6.19; sour milk 400g - 0.7-0.75; peaches - 1.85; lukanka (raw smoked sausage) for 1kg - 16.80; melon per 1kg - 1.29; watermelon for 1kg - 0.69.
We went to Burgas on our own - a ticket for 4 leva one way. Streets begin right next to the station, on which there are many shops, etc. , so those who come for shopping will not have to go far.
We went on an excursion to Nessebar in the old town for 48 lev per person. The price included: a visit to the museum (but shooting inside was paid 4 leva), 2 churches (with shooting inside the same), a walk around the city and free time in Nessebar (about 3 hours). All this with a guide (except for free time), who spoke Russian without a single accent. The city is very beautiful, the beach near it is pebbly, you can swim.
In the end, I want to once again say a huge thank you to the owner of the Poseidon Hotel for her help and hospitality. If anyone has questions - write.
