WI-FI in the rooms does not catch, and in the lobby is not very good. We chose the hotel because of the pool, small, but for children it is important. I also liked the location and close to the city, and silence at night, and close to the sea. Very good for a family holiday.

In general, it must be said that each resort is a kind of resort, and it is simply wrong to compare them. Sozopol is a resort town, where from all the streets there is access to the sea. Our hotel Apolis is located next to the Harmani beach, by the way, one of the best beaches. The sea is the cleanest even in a storm, and there is no green duckweed, which cannot be said about other beaches. The sand is small, but the strip of the coast itself becomes littered in the evening (well, it depends on the culture of the vacationers themselves). Hotel Apolis is small, with only 26 rooms, neat and comfortable, with a small pool. All rooms with sea views, however, the view from the lower rooms is blocked by the hotels in front, and we had a maisonette room (family) - this is the 3rd and 4th floors (two-story). Of the shortcomings in the service: despite the fact that linen and towels were changed regularly, the room was never cleaned. True, there is a sign in the room "Please clean the room", but for us it was new (to ask for cleaning), we expected it might be removed. . . But it didn’t overshadow our rest! Breakfasts are standard for hotels in Bulgaria, but dinner is something! The food was super! Just delicious homemade food! Special thanks to Sultanka! , and especially in Sozopol: every five meters there are cafes or restaurants and quite affordable prices. For 4.5-6 lev. you can have dinner with a portion of the first, second, dessert and a glass of beer. Normal, considering that the portions are very large! And the abundance of Black Sea fried fish! Well, active rest is in your hands! We were on an excursion in Istanbul, got acquainted with the customs of the Bulgarians in the village of Bata!! ! We were in Nessebar (not the first time, but I still wanted to visit again), but the trip to the castle in Ravadinovo impressed me the most! there. Impressions from what he saw can not be conveyed - it must be seen !! ! In general, the rest was a success! Relax and enjoy!! !

They didn’t get to that hotel where they wanted to, so we went to the Apolis offered by the travel agency. We understood where we were going (3 *) and were not picky ourselves. But basic comfort (hot water, air conditioning, complete silence at night) should be available anyway. Of all this, there were no questions only on the air conditioner. Coming from the beach, you take off everything and in anticipation of a shower! Aha! Wait! There is no water! Again, you get dressed, you go down to the reception, you say - Problems! Know water! . They tell you - OK! They go down somewhere and then water appears. It happened more than once. Once at all lathered and went cold. So I washed. Water flow is poor. Constantly clogged. Rating - 2 points.
The noise is a little annoying. Three times in two weeks I slept in general with earplugs in my ears. I'm glad I took them. And I can’t say that the neighbors are very noisy, (although it’s incomprehensible why the hell at 2 am in the resort to watch TV) it just feels like there are NO interior (inter-dimensional) walls in the hotel at all! Only plasterboard partitions. Therefore, even if you talk quietly or watch TV at low volume, you can hear everything. Yes, even one of the porters for some reason liked to listen to music until late at night. Again, not too loud. But under the doors there are such gaps (3-4 centimeters) that at night in relative silence it just gets out. You get up, twist the foot towel into a tourniquet and plug the gap under the door with it (fortunately, the size is suitable). Score 3 points. This is how they lived.
And food. Food is rubbish. I do not know what happened. Early reviews mentioned a Russian-speaking chef and good (relatively) cooking. There is none of this. Upon arrival, once (having read the reviews) we bought lunch and never did such a stupid thing again. Paid breakfasts are also a song. The cook is a lazy bastard! You won't say otherwise. Every day boiled eggs, scrambled eggs. Well, you have food, because they lie on the table in the morning - tomatoes, cheese and so on. Let save, trying to rip off tourists to the maximum. But you can make scrambled eggs with tomatoes from the same eggs once (you give tomatoes anyway! ), another time an omelet with cheese, and so on. Not! Stupid! Poorly beaten (more precisely, slightly stirred) scrambled eggs and boiled eggs. Sausages, sausage - crap crap. I didn't even know such a thing happened. At the same time, I repeat, I am not picky in life. They just serve really rubbish. They ate mostly cereal with milk, tomatoes, cucumbers, and cheese. Chefs kick out in the neck, and forbid to work in their specialty. Immensely lazy.
Television. Old, with a shrunken kinescope. One Russian channel (ORT-International) and four or so others. They are of no interest. Yes, it is useless at the resort. But the hotel characterizes.
Well, here's some rest. It is worth pointing out that in general I don’t care how often the towels are changed, how many languages the staff speaks, and whether there is an air freshener besides soap in the bathroom. But basic comfort must be provided!
But this hotel is not 3 * it's generally the devil knows what. The maximum price for it is 150 euros for two weeks per person per season. Not more!
In general, the feeling that the owners of this hotel got into such loans with him that they will now hang themselves literally for a penny (It is clear that the rooms would really need repairs). Therefore, I would like to wish them a speedy ruin and the transfer of the hotel to other hands.
And Sozopol itself and the sea around it are worth seeing. But that's another story. . .

We recently arrived from Bulgaria. It's just magical there! It was our first trip abroad and, you know, we were sooo happy. Traveled with my husband and two children. Since we went for the first time, we went through a tour agency. 1001 tours have been chosen. Tour agent Dasha helped us with the choice of hotel, visas and tickets. So many emotions, how much we got in Bulgaria - can not be described with anything. We went specifically to Sozopol, and by the way, by train. We were afraid of the plane, you never know. By train to Bulgaria, namely to Burgas, it takes two days. At the same time, we went through quite a lot of customs, and borders, respectively, too. After Ukraine changed wheels. The sight is amazing, but standing in the sun is not cool. I want to warn you right now. Due to the small number of tracks in Bulgaria, our train was six hours late. That is, they were supposed to arrive at ten in the morning, but they arrived in the afternoon. Back to Moscow was also late for 3-4 hours. We traveled from June 16 to July 4. The weather was just wonderful. The beach is clean and tidy. There were few people on the beach, but closer to the beginning of the season, it became a little more. Entertainment also appeared by the end of June (with the growth of tourists). There was a storm a couple of times, but storms happen on any sea. After the storm, quite a few small algae caught up, but this is only near the coast. A little further - the water is clear and clean! To start the season - the sea is surprisingly warm, after lunch - like fresh milk! When we were going on the road, we were afraid that there would be problems with luggage and medicines. But the customs officers did not check anything, only passports. Therefore, there is no need to be afraid, but just in case - make sure, you never know. They helped us choose the hotel, and the choice turned out to be very successful. The hotel is called Appolis 3. We read hundreds of reviews before leaving. They were both good and not so good. But I want to dispel all your doubts. This is a very nice, clean and comfortable hotel. The sea is nearby, there are a lot of shops, restaurants and cafes - kuucha ! ! The center of Sozopol and Old Sozopol are not very far, 15-20 minutes walk.
Now I want to tell you a little about our hotel. I have already said that it is located not far from the center of Sozopol, 5-7 meters from the sea. There are three beaches on the coast! They are distributed around the perimeter. At the time we arrived, there was one paid beach. Sun loungers and an umbrella cost 6 leva each. The other two were free. But by the end of our vacation, umbrellas were placed on the middle beach, and if you take a sun lounger, then it is also paid. The third beach was completely free! When entering the sea, it is not deep at all. A little further down the waist, very convenient when relaxing with children.
Upon arrival of the train at the station, we were met, as we had paid for the transfer. We did not experience any problems or inconvenience upon arrival. Bulgarian people are very polite and friendly. We Russians are treated with love and respect. We were received very warmly at the hotel. The senior manager Ekaterina understands and speaks Russian very well. Very decent, friendly, and sympathetic woman. The other two administrators are younger and do not speak Russian very well, but they are always responsive and can help in any situation. Now a little about the room. We settled in a studio room. Not very big, but very comfortable room, with two rooms! With two balconies and with all other amenities. The room is very clean and comfortable! The room was cleaned every day and bed sheets changed every three days. Smoking was only allowed on the balcony. We only included breakfast in our tour price. It was a must. Breakfasts were without pickles, but they ate to satiety (buffet). The hotel also had its own swimming pool - very handy during a storm. Very clean, tidy and child-friendly - there is a paddling pool. We did not take lunches and dinners, because from the reviews we read earlier, we learned that along the coast there are many cafes and restaurants with a menu for every taste. The food is cheap, but the portions are very large. We visited a lot of cafe-restaurants, but settled on one - Buena Vista. Very friendly and nice people work there. The owner - Slava, escorts and greets guests himself. A very pleasant and hospitable man. Very polite and friendly waiters. They serve quickly and efficiently (by the way, they speak Russian).
Prices are reasonable, compared to Moscow - very small. At lunch, we ate 23-29 leva. With our money it is 500-600 rubles. But they ate a lot (for four)! Dinner with desserts, water and hearty meals cost 50-60 leva. The lev is a banknote in Bulgaria. 1 lev is equal to 20 rubles. Many shops with clothes for every taste and color. Souvenirs, soaps, creams, glasses, watches, bags and wallets are just heaps there. When they left, they laughed and said that they had bought half of Bulgaria. After lunch we went to the old Sozopol. It's a 20-15 minute walk right from the big market. In the old city, they found the Church of Cyril and Methodius, in which the relics of St. Nicholas lie. But we never got there, because we were embarrassed to go in with bare legs, shoulders and an uncovered head. The old town with its architecture is similar to a medieval town. Prices are higher in the Old Town! ! A lot of stalls with fruit, corn, ice cream. The city always smelled of donuts - the aroma is chic. I can honestly say. Many wrote about the Barakuda restaurant. We were there once and, frankly, we did not like it there. The waiters are all in a hurry somewhere and behave as if they are asking us to leave as soon as possible. Yes, there are a lot of people there! But in Buena, the food was much tastier, and there was no need to rush anywhere, you sit for your own pleasure. During the trip there and back: I can advise those who like to eat on the road. Take fruits, berries and fish in Konotop because further stops are either too short or very late and there are no grandmothers anymore. In Kyiv, you can take ice cream and Kyiv cake (delicious by the way). Moreover, if you meet grandmothers, you can buy young boiled potatoes and pickles for 15 hryvnias (mm, yummy). There was a big Bolero store in Sozopol (something like our supermarket). You can buy groceries there at low prices. It's only a 10-15 minute walk from Appolis to this store. We really liked it there. We realized that Bulgaria is our country! There are wonderful people, sympathetic and friendly, and most importantly - hospitable! Next year again to Bulgaria, again to Sozopol!

Good day! Thanks to the people who write reviews - it helps! When reading a review, be guided by those who wrote. We (family: 28 years old mother, 30 years old father and 2.5 daughters. No preconceived requirements, but mother, i. e. I am quite meticulous and economical). We took a tour package from the Balkan Express travel agency (we won’t go with them again) !! ! I will explain why: the main claim to them is the return flight: they flew from Burgas with a change in Sofia !!! ! In Sofia, the entire plane was dropped off and asked to go through customs again, and then put on the same plane, waited another 40 minutes, then flew to Moscow! In advance, no one informed about such an inconvenient flight (they flew there on a direct flight)! There were a lot of kids flying on the plane, they were all very tired, capricious. … More ▾ Good day! Thanks to the people who write reviews - it helps! In advance, no one informed about such an inconvenient flight (they flew there on a direct flight)! There were a lot of kids flying on the plane, they were all very tired, capricious. We chose Bulgaria, among other things, because of a short flight (normally 2 hours), but it turned out that we flew back 4.00 !!!! ! No one explained anything and did not apologize for the inconvenience, they fed only in the evening, the crew of Bulgaria Air did not want to speak Russian, the attitude was boorish!! ! But as it turned out, this is not a force majeure, but a new practice of the Balkan Express! Upon arrival, I wrote a review on their site (quite decently abusive, they deleted it! )
About the hotel: At first I didn't really like Apolis, but then I got used to it. Pros: 1) Very good food. there is not much meat, but it is quite possible to eat, at home I don’t cook 5 dishes for the evening. for breakfast: scrambled eggs or eggs, pastries, jams, honey. butter, bread, soy sausages (Not very), cereal, milk, cheese squares, donuts, coffee, tea, cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes. for dinner: Shopska salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage salad, 2 types of side dishes and 2 types of meat, vegetable casseroles with meat, soups (chicken, lentil, potato, with meatballs - alternate) For small children, soups are good - everything is moderately salted and peppered . fruits (watermelon, peaches). The hotel is inexpensive, did not count on chic food. The child was bought a chic product - sour milk, ate with pleasure! Dinner from 18 to 19 o'clock by the end of the meal there is little left, they are prepared with the calculation.
My husband was not used to having dinner so early, at 18 he ate sluggishly, in the evening they bought more pancakes and all sorts of things!
They sell chic fruits on the street: strawberries, peaches, cherries, they fed themselves and the baby with vitamins! It is expensive on the main street, cheaper in secluded streets, fruit is not very good in supermarkets, although cheaper!
2) To the sea: five minutes on foot - they spotted when taking into account that they stomped with a child and a stroller sometimes. Hotel on a small hill. My husband has lost some weight.
3) I liked Harmani Beach. Quite clean, the sea is clean! ! Went to the free zone. We bought an umbrella (about 300 rubles. I brought my own bedding with me from Moscow) Beach equipment (mattresses, armlets, circles, etc. ) - cheaper than in Moscow. The sea is beautiful, it was stormy for 2 days! The water was cold during our stay. Everyone was swimming!
4) The hotel room is normal, sea view only from the top floor, carpet on the floor, 2 beds pushed together - uncomfortable!!!!! ! There is a hole in the floor in the bathroom - in Bulgaria this is apparently the norm. I mean the shower pours from above and everything flows down onto the tiled floor in which the hole is not very pleasant. They clean normally, I didn’t find fault (anyway, they were mostly on the beach and walked a lot)
Cons: 1) In the first days there was a tension with hot water, it was barely warm, we were told to open the faucet and drain the water, then it will go hot, late in the evening at 24.00 there was some warming of the water, and after 4 days it seems like water supply was established!
2) Bed (who cares, but I need a double bed, so that when hugging me I don’t fall into a hole) Let me explain: the beds are shifted and sheets are laid and there is no common mattress. I don’t know why I’m writing, maybe it doesn’t matter to others.
3) The weather was cool, it was raining!!! ! She was upset about this and scolded, because. in Moscow they passed 35 grams, but here in Sogopol-city we don’t swim in the sun. We returned to Moscow and after 3 weeks of sweltering heat, further smoke, I realized that nature does not have bad weather. But the child did not have acclimatization. But you still need to go probably at the beginning, or even the middle of July.
4) The travel agency Balkan Express spoiled the impressions of the rest on the return flight, the guide appeared at the hotel once.
We didn’t take excursions, we walked a lot around the old city! We went to restaurants a couple of times (I really liked the Mehana Chuchura restaurant in the old town, I advise you!!! ! We are delighted. Thank you all, sorry for the mistakes in the text.

Interested in this hotel. The question is tormenting: does the free placement of a child of 2.5 years mean that he sleeps in the parent's bed or is there an additional "sofa bed" in the room? Just judging by the photo, there are rooms with a sofa (with a direct balcony) and without it (with a round balcony). And how do you know where they will be placed?
