In the period from September 6 to 15.2010, we rested at the Sapphire 3 * Hotel in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. In general, the impressions are positive. Although the hotel is small (about 50 rooms), it is cozy, so homely, the administrators recognize you, they are very polite and always smiling. They even settled in the room immediately upon arrival at 9 o'clock, did not make us wait until the estimated time - 14 o'clock. The rooms are spacious, each has a balcony with a plastic table and chairs, there is everything you need, but no more. . There is no hair dryer in the room, but you can take it at the reception, the same goes for the iron. Do not count on shampoo - there is only liquid soap near the washbasin, you also need to have your own for the shower. Towels (only two, not three) are changed every three days, bedding - every five days. On the beach, of course, you need to have your own towel or bedding.
The beds, although large, are covered with some kind of mattresses, which constantly slipped during sleep and formed folds on the bed. The washbasin in our room (if I'm not mistaken, No. 411) was cracked from the very beginning and did not fully function (problems with the drain), but no one repaired it. The cleaners in the hotel are not very concerned with cleaning, except for taking out the trash. Often I saw that they either sit alone in their closets, or gather together and gossip. Therefore, I wiped the dust myself, I didn’t want to quarrel with our aunt, but I also didn’t want to tip her for such work. Although the hotel is not very old - only 5 years old, but already much "tired". For example, the carpet is noticeably worn and in some places quite dirty. My opinion - this hotel is for unpretentious tourists who do not count on luxury apartments. However, we must pay tribute - the hotel has a good panoramic glass elevator.
The food is good. A set of products traditional for European hotels - cereals, milk, Bulgarian "sour milk", scrambled eggs (albeit cold all the time), vegetables, fruits, honey, jam, sauces, a bun or cake, 2-3 types of sausages, sausages, cheese, cheese. With drinks - delicious fruit juice, tea. There was also a coffee machine, but this coffee is impossible to drink. I don’t even understand how coffee can be made so tasteless! Such a gentleman's set was every day, so in the end I got a little tired, but we were not hungry.

Do not forget to bring mosquito repellent with you - both creams and fumigators. In September there are definitely mosquitoes here, but in the summer I don’t know, but judging by the traces of blood on the walls, there are. It is possible that these products are sold in stores, but I did not pay attention.
I re-read it and see that I didn’t get a completely positive review of the hotel, but don’t let that upset anyone. The hotel as a whole is not bad, I just pointed out the shortcomings I noticed and I want to recommend to those who come here - to tune in in advance that this is still not a Hilton.
It was the first time I had a rest in Bulgaria, my assessment is even very good. I will be happy to return to this country again, and it is possible that even to Sapphire, because the hotel is very well located - in the very center of the resort, close to shops and to the embankment. Have a nice holiday!
