Holidays in Bulgaria - everything is not clear!!!!!!!!!!!
Rested from 11.07. to 23.07. 2009 in Bulgaria. Kranevo.
Hotel 3 *. We ate in the "canteen" not far from the hotel. 10-12 leva for two. The quality of food is acceptable. Lev = 0.5 euros. In cafes in folk style, lunch is 20-25 liters. for two. I heard a lot about delicious meat and fish dishes from Bulgaria : )) But I was disappointed : )) In cafes, food from cooking is obviously warmed up, fish and meat indicated on the menu as "fried and grilled" were boiled for some reason ?? ? Garnish - boiled boiled vegetables from supermarket frosts?? ? In the supermarkets of Kranevo, cheap local alcohol of good quality! Water from 0.75 lev.
Everything else is expensive, there is nothing to choose, it seems like they brought all the stale goods, tourists will buy them up : ))) The cheapest market is st. Gull. There are pioneer camps in Kranevo. All night runaway children 13-15 years old. wandering around with beer and cigarettes and screaming under the windows. Two discos - entrance 2 leva play music until the morning : )))
And so is the beach! Sand and sometimes shell rock. The sea is shallow, similar to the Sea of Azov. The road to the beach is not paved! Dust or puddles : ))) Umbrella 3 leva. sunbed 3 leva. The beach is wide 3-4 km. Connects to the beach in Albena for another 4 km. Between Kranevo and Albena is a nature reserve. Densely growing deciduous trees and marsh lakes. We saw snakes and turtles. In general, nature is similar to the Sea of u200bu200bAzov. During the day it was +30+33, at night it felt damp and cold +18+20. Not many mosquitoes.
Transport! We traveled by minibuses and a couple of taxis. From Kranevo to Varna 4 levs, to Golden Sands 2-3 levs, to Albena 1.5. There are few tourists this year. Minibuses are half empty, they run strictly according to the schedule, but they may not stop if you are not at the final station ((
Excursions! Bought two excursions on the street.
Nessebar is the old part of the city on the peninsula. Churches in the Byzantine style, one functioning, are lost among the ancient stylish two-story houses and restaurants. For 33 leva for two, we were still deliciously fed )
Stone forest - I liked it. Beautiful and original.
What to say about guides? They don't know Russian well, they don't talk willingly....
We visited Varna on our own. Beautiful waterfront park. In which the oceanarium is 3 levs, the terrarium is 3 levs, the zoo is 1 lev, the dolphinarium is 20 levs. The performance in the dolphinarium lasted 30 minutes. of which 10 minutes are empty conversations of the presenter.
At the end of the park are the ruins of the Roman baths 4 leva. Varna is parked with cars for the most I can not! There are almost no ancient buildings, somehow the houses were built in the woods, and some for firewood ) There are new buildings in which apartments are sold.
In Varna, we dined in "Bulgarian cuisine" 15 leva for two. The food is very tasty and fresh )
I didn’t particularly like Golden Sands (High-rise hotels, little greenery and a lot of people.
Near the Golden Sands we visited the Aladzha Monastery. Entrance 5 leva. From the monastery down there is a hiking trail for walkers. We really liked it there.
Albena also has high-rise hotel buildings, but there are large spaces between hotels and a lot of greenery, the beaches are free. Prices are more expensive than in Kranevo. People came to eat with us in Kranevo ))
Balchik is located on a mountain! The embankment is occupied by the port! Beach in the Botanical Garden entrance to the garden 10 leva ) Maybe somewhere else there was a beach, but we did not see it.
Cape Kaliakra 7 levs by minibus travel from Balchik. There is a church, the ruins of old buildings, a couple of arches. The room is a museum in the rock and a cafe. They say that they see dolphins there, but we did not see (
We concluded for ourselves: Bulgaria is a country more likely to travel by car! Rooms from 10 leva. Gasoline 95 costs 1 euro. The condition of the roads is normal.
