I came to Bulgaria for the first time on the recommendation of my friends. I have been to different countries before, but Bulgaria fascinated me. On the advice of his comrades, he settled in Kranevo, in Crystal Park (***), with two daughters. We were placed on the 3rd floor overlooking the sea. Later it turned out that this was the best option, rooms with balconies facing the street, or towards the entrance to Kranevo, quite noisy during the hot season (July-August).

We were lucky, we arrived at the beginning of June, the desired silence, hiking with friends and a relaxing break from the bustle of Moscow. Yes, the furniture was not new, but relatively comfortable. The air conditioner worked great. Money, if put on the table, is not stolen, the cleaners leave "tips" only on the bed. Later I was told that the audibility in the rooms was good, but we did not feel it, apparently there were no neighbors.
Bulgarians are very hospitable people, and in Crystal Park the staff is especially polite and any issues are resolved quickly. At the same time, you need to understand that we came to visit them, and not on our own riviera with paid servants. If you treat the Bulgarians - our fraternal people with respect, then they will respect you too. This is not Spain, not France, where you, at best, will be respected as a tourist, but not as a friend.
Friends said that since last year Crystal Park had been refurbished (wallpaper, carpet). The food has become more varied, all the freshest. Old TVs were replaced with new, modern ones. At the entrance there was a tap in a colorful design for washing feet after the beach. By the way, entering a hotel without washing your feet from the sand is not even bad manners, but much worse.
In Crystal Park - it's cozy at home, the staff is five points. There is a small pool with a paddling pool. In the pool area there is a children's room. Tasty food. During the rest, no one got poisoned, the rotavirus did not catch. A big plus, Crystal Park has an ATM and currency exchange. Nature is breathtaking, sunrises, the sea are magical.
Special thanks to the manager Mitko and administrator Stanislav. We left at about 4:30 pm. Looking at my cute daughters, Mitko and Stanislav didn't even ask for the renewal fee (1 hour after 12:00 - 20 leva (10 euros), provided that the room is not booked).
10% discount for re-occupancy. If you book and pay in advance, the discount is from 20% to 40%. Will definitely come back to Crystal Park again!
Cons: no water coolers on floors, no kettles in basic rooms, internet was weak.
Advantages: all your questions are quickly resolved with due respect, excellent lobby bar, delicious coffee (paid - 1.50 leva), and just beautiful ))

Liked the hotel. We arrived at 5 am and at 7 we were already settled. The room is not large: 1 large bed and a sofa bed for a child, a TV set is not large (satellite), a refrigerator, a balcony overlooking the pool, a shower (hot water is constant), a hairdryer. The hotel has a free gym, 2 swimming pools, a shower near the pool, a bar, a children's room.

I was very surprised that at the reception for the beach they give umbrellas (new) and strollers for children - for free! Wi-fi throughout the hotel. The cuisine is very tasty. The range is average. But both the child and the husband were never hungry! Walk to the beach 10 min. The beach has paid and free areas. The sea is clean, up to a depth of 5-7 meters.
For the money this is a great hotel!

“It is only thanks to the wind that a sailboat is free on the high seas. ”
Antoine de Saint-Exupery "Military pilot".
In this 2018 year, I came to Bulgaria for the eighth time, and for the eighth time to the village of Kranevo. Through the tour operator "Balkan Express" he issued a visa and insurance, and bought air tickets (charter) there. Provided a booking from Crystal Park to the travel agency (I booked it myself by e-mail). From Burgas to Kranevo I took a taxi, which was recommended to me in Crystal Park (80 euros), the driver is George, polite and cultured. The usual price (taxi) is 110 euros. Back from Kranevo to Burgas, I ordered a transfer from Balkan Express (9 euros). For the third time while visiting Kranevo, I stayed at the Crystal Park Hotel (from June 11 to July 2). The first time I lived in this hotel in 2008, the second - in 2016.
I'll start with the numbers. One side of the hotel overlooks the field, in the distance you can barely see the sea, which is about a 12-minute walk away.
The other side of the hotel is noisier, overlooking the village. This year I was settled in the central part of the hotel (on the third floor), with access to the main street. The plus was that it was not a double room (and most of them are in Crystal Park), when there are two interior doors between the two rooms, no one will enter, but the acoustics are decent there. Twin rooms have two beds and one more bed can be placed for an additional fee. My room had one large bed. There are apartments (who want luxury for a reasonable price), as well as three rooms - the so-called low-cost (low-cost), the most budgetary accommodation option, on the ground floor. In Bulgaria, you can smoke almost everywhere, but not in the room, but only on the balcony. This is certainly not good for non-smokers. Cleaning - every day. TV - ordinary (not plasma), small (they said they were going to change it in the future), there is a refrigerator and air conditioning.
For re-occupancy - 10% discount. When booking and paying for the 100th summer holiday from December, discounts from 15% and more. In the low season (May, June, September) - accommodation prices are much lower!
Nutrition. Breakfast, lunch and dinner - a buffet, without restrictions, everything is really very tasty, the freshest products, vegetables and fruits. The cook previously worked in a 5* hotel. Soup - every day is different, for three weeks (that I lived in Kristel Park), it never happened again. Those who come at the beginning see that the food is not just laid out on dishes, but exquisitely served. But, if you come at the end of dinner, then chicken cutlets in batter (two hours later they will be hard). For lunch you can take beer, for dinner - wine and any strong drinks. Once I came when dinner was over, there was no soup and many other dishes. But, even at the end of the “meal”, there is always food, you definitely won’t stay hungry. Water and boiling water can be collected in thermal cups and taken out of the restaurant, but food, of course, is not allowed.
Any issue is resolved on the spot, you just need to ask the waiters if, for example, you run out of forks. For children - just expanse, there is ice cream and a machine with all popular drinks. The restaurant hall is spacious, there is also an open veranda, but you can smoke there.
Kristel Park is an international hotel, Bulgarians, Russians, Czechs, Ukrainians, Slovaks, Romanians, Belarusians, Poles and others rest here. The contingent of residents is different, in general, educated people. Many families with children, but the hotel is not for children, but rather designed for families. There is a small beautiful and well-maintained swimming pool, and a bar (free with inclusive). Near the bar - table tennis and billiards (for an additional fee). There is also a children's "paddling pool", an animator and a lifeguard are working. Internet (free) is available in Crystal Park - everywhere, high speed ("freezes" rarely). The staff is friendly and polite, really no problems.
There is a paid bar in the hotel lobby, coffee beans of excellent quality - 1 lev 50 stotinki. A large selection of massage procedures, by Moscow standards - very affordable prices. There is an ATM and currency exchange (at the standard rate in Kranevo), but they do not change rubles (only euros and dollars).
Sea. The beach is excellent, wide sandy strip. Entry into the sea on a shallow bottom. The best sea is early in the morning. Who wants entertainment, nearby are Albena, Balchik, Golden Sands, the city - St. Constantine and Helena (20-30 minutes by taxi). In Crystal Park you can order various excursions. Every year we (sports camp) go hiking from Kranevo to Balchik on foot, if not in a hurry - two and a half hours, but for about twenty minutes you need to climb a dangerous slope, small children should not be taken on such a hike. But the sea view is amazing!
Disadvantages. Those who crave luxury for budget money, Crystal Park (3 *) is not your choice, there are 4 * and 5 * hotels in Kranevo.
The room does not have a washbasin, additional clothesline and clothespins. But if you ask the cleaning lady, she will bring them to you. Quite noisy air conditioners. There is no kettle in the room, but as I wrote above - the pool bar is free all day, where there is tea and other drinks. There are no coolers, but if you wish, you can buy water inexpensively, or stock up on it in a restaurant. The animator has one day a week - a day off. In the high season (July and August) - a lot of people in the restaurant and pool.
Pros. The pool has a hydromassage, you need to ask the lifeguard to turn it on. Recently there was a renovation, new wallpaper, skirting boards do not move away from the walls, everything is clean. Quietly and safely, nothing was stolen, although even the money was just lying in a bag on the sofa. There are umbrellas for the beach (free of charge), you need to ask the reception, but there are no beach towels. You need to take your own, not a hotel room.
Upon arrival, if the rooms are not occupied, they can check in before 14:00 for a moderate cost, and upon departure, if the charter was postponed to a later time, no one will be driven out into the street, you can extend your stay at the hotel for a small surcharge. Food is of high quality. All questions by e-mail or phone (listed on the hotel website) are answered promptly.

"I love the sea as a beloved, and if I don't see it for a long time, I yearn for it. "
The Count of Monte Cristo (A. Dumas "The Count of Monte Cristo")
I didn't want to write this review for two reasons. Firstly, as a moderately intelligent person, I do not want to advertise what is good, because crowds of people will rush here. Secondly, as a professional specialist, including as a journalist and PR specialist, I write any texts for a lot of money. I am writing this review solely at the request of Mr. Mitko (hotel manager), with whom we have established friendly relations. In Russia, such an appeal - "sir" is not accepted, because "gentlemen are all in Paris" (c). But in Europe and Bulgaria this is the standard form of address.
In 2016, I was in Kranevo for the 7th time, 5 times in a sports camp, we lived as a team in an inexpensive and hospitable hotel "Dobrudzha **". But this year, just like in 2008 (the previous race at Kristel Park), I wanted comfort.
The price for one person in a double room per day from the end of June to the beginning of July, according to Russian prices, was approximately 2.500 rubles, with three meals a day. I refused lunches and dinners, and the price became lower, for 16 days, by 55 euros. Who wants to save money, it is better not to refuse. Breakfast - at the level of the five-star hotel "Golden Elephant" (Orenburg). Modest, but very fresh. July and August are the peak season, and prices are correspondingly higher, in September they again drop significantly. In more detail, all prices in the "Kristel Park / Kristel park" are indicated on the hotel website, there are also contacts http://www. hotelkristelpark. com/
Mr. Mitko and administrator Stanislav (born in Belarus, Vitebsk) quickly and efficiently made a hotel reservation for me by e-mail, which I presented when applying for a visa, buying air tickets (charter), insurance (not necessary, but definitely not a problem) ), transfer to the Balkan Express travel agency.
It is better to book a room with a sea view (perhaps a little more expensive, depending on the workload), or rather on the field, since it takes about 12 minutes to walk to the sea.
According to Stanislav, the main advantage of Kristel Park is the service. Unlike Egypt, here it is not necessary to give a tip for every request, leave it to the cleaners and bartenders. But this, of course, as throughout Europe, is not forbidden. In my opinion, the main advantage of Kristel Park is the friendliness of all the staff, everyone here smiles sincerely. And "Kristel park / Kristel park" is located in the center of Kranevo.
Of the minuses, on the first day of arrival, I found that the drain tank was constantly buzzing a little. The master replaced it with a new one in 55 minutes. There was a crack in the sink, but it doesn't matter to me. Didn't ask for a replacement. Adequate rating "Kristel park / Kristel park", according to the hotel rating, solid 3+. Conclusion - inexpensive, calm and good. There is air conditioning, refrigerator and TV.
There is no luxury, but the furniture is pleasant. There is a Russian proverb “The best is the enemy of the good”. Kristel park is a 100% good place! Food prices in Kranevo restaurants are 2 times lower than in Albena (4 km along the beach). Kristel park also has a small cozy pool. When you re-settle in "Kristel Park / Kristel park" - a 10% discount. Complete security.
Massage at the hotel is at a good level, prices are from 5 to 15 euros (up to 40 minutes). Who wants entertainment - taxi ride to Albena, Golden Sands, St. Constantine and Elena (hot spring) - from 15 to 25 minutes. The best restaurants in Kranevo are Izvora, Serbian and Milev (the most expensive restaurant). Gourmet dinner in Kranevo, from 10 euros. Who wants to have a more economical dinner, without wine (because the prices for a bottle of wine are almost the same everywhere), then the best option is the Chuchurite restaurant. The Germans from Albena walk 4 km along the beach to have lunch in Kranevo, or in the evening they come by taxi. There is amazing cuisine here.
The price tag for accommodation and meals at Kristel Park is 3.5 times lower than in France (La Rochelle). But the staff is indifferent. And in “Kristel park / Kristel park” you start again, as in childhood, sincerely smile. And Moscow tensions fade into the background.
The beach in Kranevo is one of the best in Bulgaria. Wide sandy strip and gently sloping coast. Do not be lazy and go to the sea before breakfast at 7 am, when the beach is completely deserted, and the sea is very clean and divinely beautiful.
P. S. I strongly recommend not to sit around in Kranevo, but to diversify your vacation with excursions.
This year, with a large group of adults and children, we went on an ethno-excursion "Bulgarian Village" (or the second name - "The Merry Village of Solnik" to visit the hospitable and cheerful woman Rada), before that we stopped at the Beaten Stones reserve (a natural phenomenon - it is considered energy place), and at the end of the excursion we were taken on small boats along the Kamchia River (it is also called the “Bulgarian Amazon” because of the picturesque view). The next day we were in Varna for a pirate party (a water battle, everyone really liked it, adults no less than children) and on a separate day we visited the water park in Golden Sands. We also walked along the beach to Albena on our own, then, wearing sneakers or strong sandals, we went along an uncomfortable path, which was often cut off by dangerous landslides, towards Balchik. After about 40 minutes, the path was replaced by a gorgeous road, and we got to Balchik from Kranevo in about 2.5 hours.
There we bought tickets to visit the Botanical Garden and the Palace of Queen Mary, we drove back by taxi, the price is 25 leva. If you go to Balchik on foot, you will see that the sea will change at least 4 times during this transition. The impressions are the most unforgettable, but it is better not to take small children on this crossing, there are dangerous sections.
P. P. S. Taxi in Kranevo, by Moscow standards, is inexpensive. A ride along Kranevo costs 5 leva. From Kranevo to Varna airport - 50 leva (25 euros) and Varna (airport) - Kranevo, the same price tag. A transfer for one person is 11 euros, so if you are traveling with two or more people, it is more optimal and much more comfortable to order a taxi. The best taxi driver in Kranevo, in my opinion, is Mister Gospodinov (or simply Dinko). Here are his contacts - phone: +35.897 80.345; e-mail: gospodin1966@abv. bg

Here are his contacts - phone: +35.897 80.345; e-mail: gospodin1966@abv. bg

I take groups of children aged 6-9 years on vacation to Bulgaria. Three years in a row I have chosen the Crystal Park Hotel. The hotel corresponds to its status. The rooms are spacious, there is everything you need, appliances in working condition. The rooms are cleaned every day. The maids are friendly (it is clear that children do not always leave the room clean).

The rooms are spacious, there is everything you need, appliances in working condition. The rooms are cleaned every day. The maids are friendly (it is clear that children do not always leave the room clean). Linen is changed regularly. The mattresses have been replaced this year. As a leader, I have always been interested in food. The restaurant is clean, tablecloths have appeared this year. The menu is varied and, which pleases, natural, no semi-finished products. This year there were especially many fruits, there was enough of everything, and if not, you could contact the waiter and in a couple of minutes they brought it. Dishes are clean and neat. Yes, the restaurant has disposable glasses, but I asked for a glass glass for water and was never refused. This year there was no specially designated hotel beach, but everyone could take an umbrella and relax on the free zone.
It's nice that the manager monitors not only the work of the staff, but also the order in the hotel. After 23.00 it is quiet, if there are people near the bar or the hotel, then they do not interfere with the rest of the vacationers. I would like to say BIG THANKS to the manager, Mr. Dimitrov, for his understanding and humanity. For three years we have never been kicked out of the hotel (the bus could come at night). And this year, the force majeure that occurred could spoil the impression of the rest, but once again proved that I had chosen the right hotel.
Come and you will not regret!! !

And we liked it. Fully justifies its 3 stars. Triple room on the 2nd floor (air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, telephone), two very comfortable beds and a folding chair for a child. Cleaned every day, changed towels on request. In order not to repeat, I agree with the description of the hotel given by Malinochka.

But I fundamentally disagree with the "terrible part" of her story. The staff is very attentive and friendly. There were no problems with food at all, take as much as you want and what you want. In principle, everything is delicious, but we must take into account the specifics of the Bulgarian cuisine. Bulgarians are very fond of cheese and add it to different dishes. For example, an unusual discovery for me was peppers stuffed with rice and cheese))))
Several times I witnessed how water was taken from the barrel into bottles, no comments followed.
As for entertainment.
There is no animation at the hotel, and I can’t even imagine what to do during the rain (although you can take an e-book with you)))) We were lucky with the weather, it was warm and sunny all week, we didn’t miss it.
The hotel cooperates with the Tural travel agency, which offers a wide variety of excursions. We were:
1. Balchik - Botanical Garden with wine tasting - Cape Kaliakra. The wines are amazing, highly recommended.
2. The ancient city of Nessebar, also with tasting.
3. Aquapark in Golden Sands. Children are wildly delighted.
4. Walked along the sea to Albena.
If you are planning to bring souvenirs to your family and friends, then in Kranevo, in comparison with the places listed above, the prices are the lowest.
