My husband and I often go to Kranevo - we always liked its magnificent beach and a relaxing holiday. I always paid attention to Izvora and decided to stay in it for May. The hotel itself looks beautiful..... that's all. The rooms are small, everything is more than modest, shared balconies for two rooms!! ! In the photo, the rooms look in the national style, but this is only in the photo.

Yes, a beautiful restaurant and that's it, but in summer there is live music and noisy. I recommend choosing other hotels - there are much better options and cheaper. And do not take half board - there are many wonderful restaurants in Kranevo where you can have an inexpensive and much tastier lunch and dinner

Hello, everyone who wants to relax in Bulgaria. I decided to write because I myself could not find a single sensible review. We live in the small town of Kranevo. There is nothing for young people to do here: there are a couple of nightclubs in everything, but Albena is very close - 5 km. Taxi 0.5 - 1 lev during the day and 1 - 1.

Hello, everyone who wants to relax in Bulgaria. I decided to write because I myself could not find a single sensible review. We live in the small town of Kranevo. There is nothing for young people to do here: there are a couple of nightclubs in everything, but Albena is very close - 5 km. Taxi 0.5 - 1 lev during the day and 1 - 1.5 lev at night + 1.5 lev landing. Taxi must have a meter. Any taxi driver will take you to a place where you can have fun. And living in Kranevo is cheaper than in popular resorts. Kranevo is a wonderful place for a family vacation. The sea is not very deep and lifeguards are on duty on the beaches, who do not really allow you to swim. I even tried to argue and explain that I can swim and my children can, and he smiles and whistles. By the way, about free beaches - this is an exaggeration. A photo of the beaches of Kranevo with rows of umbrellas - these are just paid beaches. An umbrella costs 5 levs, and a sunbed 3 levs. There are also free parts of the beaches. There are quite a lot of people on them, but since the beach itself is very wide, everyone fits. I advise you to go in the direction of Albena - there are fewer children's camps and calmer. In an eatery near the border with Albena, prices are more expensive than in a restaurant. We took beer with us, mostly on principle.
A few words about the hotel. We are resting at the Izvora hotel. According to my observations, this is the coolest hotel in Kranevo. Firstly, it is very cozy, a stone's throw from the main street and 300m from the sea. The photos of the hotel posted on the sites are true. A very cozy courtyard, everything is stylized in the Bulgarian style, the rooms have good furniture, a TV, a refrigerator. Separately, it should be noted the cooling of the rooms. There is not a split system here, from which it blows and you can’t turn it on at night, but centralized cooling. The control unit in each room separately (we have apartments - 2 rooms). The water is always hot, cleaning every day, towels and bed linen are changed every 3 days. The staff is polite and friendly. We took only breakfast - fed normally. Izvor has a wonderful restaurant with super Bulgarian cuisine. The portions here are huge - so don’t take it for everyone, grams are written everywhere, you can calculate it.
For prices: 1 euro = 2 leva approximately.
Beer - 1.20 - 2.5 leva per 0.5 liter. We liked Kamenitsa the most
Rakia (emphasis on "and") - about 7.0-15.0 lev per 0.5l. Grozdev (grape) is tastier.
Vintage dry wine – 6 lev. Bear's blood (Mecha krav), light young dry wine - 1.6-2.0 leva.
Cigarettes 4.5-5.5 leva.
A large piece of pizza (husband ate enough) 1.5 - 2.0 leva.
Sour milk (approximately our kefir only tastes better) 400 gr - 0.9 - 1.50 leva
Coffee from the machine - 0.6 lev
Fruit prices are cheaper than in Ukraine, compared with Donetsk.
In a cafe opposite Izvora, called "Little Bamboo", it's cheaper to eat than in Izvora, but it's also very tasty. For example, we took the first 2 adults, the first 2 children, a salad, a portion of the second course and 2 beers of 0.5 liters each. For all this they paid about 23 leva. Everyone ate. Dine in the Izvora restaurant will cost 30% more, but be sure to go to them - you will not regret it. Be sure to try the Bulgarian cold soup Tarator, which is somewhat reminiscent of our okroshka. In "Little Bamboo" Tarator is awesome. There is also a salad similar to Tarator, only it has pickles instead of fresh ones - this is a purely Bulgarian invention.
Opposite Izvora there is a shop that says Phone. Here you can call and most importantly you are taken on excursions cheaper than in a travel agency. Do not waste money on organized excursions - the guide, to whom we settled down in the museum in Varna, tired us after 10 minutes.
Down from the TOPmarket, below the Mehana restaurant, there is an unlimited trampoline for 4 leva (this is to make life easier for parents).
You won't have language problems. Almost everyone speaks Russian at least a little. For all the time I met 2 people who did not understand me. For these cases, there is a standard set of phrases: "kolko struva" - how much it costs, "bira" - beer, cafe (emphasis on "e") s mlyako - coffee with milk. The numbers are clear.

This is my first trip outside Ukraine. it is difficult to say abroad, because in Bulgaria you feel almost at home. I decided to go to Kranevo and specifically to Izvora almost by accident - I saw a photo of the hotel on the Internet and decided to go there by all means. Kranevo is a quiet cozy village. I must say right away that it is not for lovers of noisy parties, parties and huge hotels.

I decided to go to Kranevo and specifically to Izvora almost by accident - I saw a photo of the hotel on the Internet and decided to go there by all means. Kranevo is a quiet cozy village. I must say right away that it is not for lovers of noisy parties, parties and huge hotels. and for those who want to take a break from the noisy bustle of the metropolis, this is it.
Izvora is the only noteworthy hotel in Kranevo. it is made in the national style, the patio (summer terrace of the restaurant) is simply immersed in greenery and pleases the eye with its landscape. The rest of the hotels in Kranevo, mostly either Soviet-style buildings, or modern, but somehow concrete and sad. I don’t want to say anything bad, but such hotels are not to my taste, and we have plenty of such hotels in Crimea. and Izvora, she is all so Bulgarian)))
But, nothing so supernatural should be expected either, everything corresponds to its level - 3 stars. I have a room
of course, also insanely delicious and varied, but still, what I saw on the menu photos and in the hands of the waiters,
this is something incredible! I didn't get to try much of what I wanted to. But anyway, in Bulgarian
I fell in love with the kitchen! And the portion sizes! One serving of something can feed three people like me))) And what's the most
most importantly, at quite reasonable prices, even considering that Izvora is a restaurant, and the prices there are higher than in local usual
cafes. Therefore, every dinner I spent meditating on a tempting plate of food with a problem, how is it
eat everything))) The breakfast buffet was simpler and more unpretentious - vegetables (especially incredibly tasty, already sweet,
like a fruit, Bulgarian tomatoes), sausages, olives, cheese such as brynza, sour milk (a delicious product! ), watermelons,
melons and other rubbish. but even that was enough not to get hungry until supper. And what a delicious Bulgarian
wine!! ! Yes, wine, there is even delicious vodka - brandy. She often helped me to master dinner. ; )
Enough about food... now about the sea. it would seem that the sea and the sea should be the same our familiar and familiar Black. But for some reason it was not the same there as in the Crimea. Sky-azure-transparent color and pure-clear! For a long time I could not understand what was wrong... It turned out that there were no breakwaters in our section of the sea. How wonderful without concrete! The beach, of course, is not very clean, but the sand is fine and pleasant.
in general, the vacation was a success, I really wanted to go home))) The only thing that overshadowed him was the need to brush off the annoying Bulgarians, who were trying hard to speak Russian with a lonely tourist from Ukraine, plus
lack of interesting places to "take pictures". And in general, I was satisfied. And now gloomy autumn
in the evening, with such warmth, I remember the cozy courtyard of Izvora...

Almost 2 weeks ago we returned from Bulgaria, but if I were now offered to return there again, I would drop everything and run, early slippers. And even if you had to walk to the beach for about 5 minutes along a not very good road, but this could not spoil the impressions of the beach and the sea (we have no such thing in St. Petersburg, unfortunately). And the village of Kranevo touched with its simplicity, with its main street with cheerful sellers in small shops, with its friendly barkers to restaurants.

It was my first time in Bulgaria. And I probably won't go there in the next few years. Although there the sun is softer than in Turkey or Egypt. Sand on the beach, but with cigarette butts (is it really difficult to put small urns? ). You still have to walk to the free beach, otherwise there are umbrellas everywhere nearby and you can lie there only for money.

About the hotel: water in the toilet after a shower, bed linen in holes probably from 2005, maids are not friendly.
