I will write everything in detail. At the airport in the city of Burgas, it is better to stand in the customs line where the Germans stand, since they are not checked. The queue with the Russians is much longer. From the airport to the hotel 45 minutes by car. They settled into the room quickly. Room (Junior Suites) large, 1-room with sea view. The balcony is really also very large (the view from the balcony opened on the picturesque Dunes, the beach, a little bit on the pool and the sea). There was already a baby cot in the room. We were surprised that the 5-star hotel does not have many basic things of any 5 * hotel: bathrobes, slippers, shampoos, a set for tea and fruit. A kinescope TV and plumbing in the bathroom are also not of a new generation. Yes, if possible, take a room with a sea view, because with a view of the park, a balcony can look at the road, and below there can be an emergency entrance to restaurants, you yourself understand what it is (smells, morning unloading of cars, evening garbage collection ).
The food at the hotel was excellent for 5+. Breakfast is varied. 6 types of cheese, meat, fish, good cold ayran, freshly squeezed orange juice, yogurts, cereals, 2-3 types of eggs, fried eggs and pancakes for breakfast were fried on the veranda, and fish, meat, and seafood were fried there for dinner, and grilled vegetables, etc. There is a diet, quite varied. There were children's instant cereals. Lunches are delicious: 2 types of soup, 5-6 salads, 4-6 types of meat dishes, fish again. You can choose everything. Desserts are not bad. Maybe a little gourmet seafood dishes, but we are not on the Mediterranean. There was also afternoon tea. Dinner is also varied. Yes, 2-3 times a week themed evenings (dishes from different countries). The cuisine is good, you can try only everything. We could eat in other restaurants in hotels: Pelican, Holiday Village, Marina Beach, but we had enough in our restaurant. We didn't get hungry. It was always possible for a child in any bar at any time of the day to ask for “warmly milk”, that is, boiled milk (usually poured from the cappuccinatore of a coffee machine). In general, my husband said that the bars are very decent, excellent cognac (Henessy, Martel), good whiskey, there is even Macalan, real rum, etc. , etc.... Excellent cocktails for every taste. The beer is not bad, especially in the heat and cold! Considering that the hotel operates on an all-inclusive basis, the bars in the “non-bathing” time were full of our compatriots, who even managed to play there with whole families. Bulgarian wine is how to put it mildly… “no ice”. Best of all, we thought "Bear's Blood". And best of all, a cold Mojito...
The territory is large, green, well-groomed, many roses and beautiful flower beds. On the territory of the Holiday Village Hotel there is really a smell of pine, it is pleasant to walk there.
The beach is clean, the entrance to the sea is gentle. Very petty. But sun loungers need to be occupied in the morning. There were many vacationers and there were not enough sun loungers by the sea. The sea is warm during the day, and in the afternoon there was already a breeze. There were water sports. Yes, it was one day heavy rain and cold. In Bulgaria, you need to take something warm with you from things. The Black Sea... though clean.
Animation worked every day in the morning and in the evening. There were also fireworks on the beach. It was interesting for children (4-6 years old) in the kids club. Aerobics, beach volleyball, basketball optional. The SPA center worked, but alas, I did not go. But I think young people will be bored in this hotel, it is more suitable for families with children, or for those who like to sit quietly in the evening at the bar. The downside is that the city is far away and can only be reached by taxi.
The hotel staff of the older generation kindly speak Russian. In the boutiques on the territory of the hotel, and in the cities of Bulgaria, sellers easily understand Russian. And at the reception it is desirable to know English, the younger generation is not willing to answer questions in Russian. They pretend to be Europeans, but at the sight of a fat wallet they become a little kinder. I was very surprised by the lack of an ATM in the hotel (more precisely, in all hotels of the Dunes). You can change at the reception, but the rate is slightly lower than the market rate in Sozop. In general, the hotel is good. You can put 5 with a minus or a good 4+.
We didn’t take excursions because we had a small child, but we ordered a car for rent (just for a week) - for car rental you need international driving license, a bank card. The entire amount for the rental and the so-called “deposit”, that is, the deposit, are immediately debited from the card. This deposit after the return of the car is again transferred to your card. At first, this moment strained us a little, but everything is clear - they returned the entire amount. The roads are good, although there are traffic jams. Beautiful town of Nessebar (old part). In Sozopol, it is also interesting to take a calm walk. Burgas seemed to me an ordinary resort town, but there are really a lot of fountains. In Varna, in the city center, parking is difficult. We just found a place near the seaside park. Dolphinarium is not bad, but this is not Spain. The zoo is small. The river Murmurs is also ordinary, though there are turtles.
Relaxing in the Dunes is good. Excellent food and clear sea! The end of the review turned out to be a little crumpled, so there was already too much writing. If you are interested please email with specific questions.
Good luck and good weather to everyone!! !
THERE IS VERY BAD RUSSIAN SPEAK!!!
Arrival.
We arrived at the airport of the city of Burgas, where a company met us and drove us straight to the hotel. For some reason, the porter did not meet us, although sometimes I saw him in the hotel. We checked in at the reception, they gave us a very nice room overlooking the sea and the bay. But if you are "settled" in a room that does not suit you, it is enough to ask them to move you and carefully give them 20 leva (this is about 11 dollars). The exchange office is there.
Nutrition.
The food is excellent - 5+. Every day something different, everything is very tasty. There are 5 free bars. There are also 2 a la carte restaurants: Italian and Bulgarian. Bulgarian is better, but there is no comrade for the taste and color. For 7 days, you can only go to one restaurant once. There are also two "cafes" to have a bite to eat on the sea.
Sea.
The sea is just class! There is a pier, and here on one side the bottom of the sea is sandy, and on the other side it is rocky and with corals ! ! Buy a mask and dive, it's very beautiful and there are a lot of fish. Tours and boat trips are also provided.
Entertainment.
Animators are always working, there is something to do from water aerobics to martial arts. Every evening in the amphitheater there is a beautiful colorful performance, I really liked it. In the evenings 2-hour disco.
Children.
For children there is a playroom, a children's dinner and an hour-long disco. Babysitting services are also provided.
Excursions.
Many excursions that the company serving you will offer from Sozopol (nearby city) to Sofia (the capital of Bulgaria), Istanbul, water park, etc.
TV shows 2 Russian channels. First and Sport. If you're lucky, there will also be Russia.
Here the weather during our vacation during the day was beautiful, but if you go out for a swim in the evening, it is a little cool.
It's up to you to decide whether to go there or not. But I advise!
