Here are the main cons:
1. The building is old, Soviet-built. The panels are green from moisture, which spoils the pleasure of relaxing on the balcony.
2. The windows in the room are dirty and cheap. The door with the mosquito net moves very tight and does not close properly.
3. The room is renovated, but it looks very poor and cheap. The closet built into the wall is very small for 2 adults and a child. Tiles on the floor - this does not add comfort, it is unpleasant to walk barefoot.
4. A LOT OF PENSIONERS!! ! They cough, make noise, constantly sit in the lobby on the 1st floor and eat very slowly in the restaurant.
5. The restaurant is generally a separate issue: it is very small! Often there is no free table. If you arrive earlier, then there is food, but there is no free table. If you come later, then vice versa: there are free tables - there is no food. There are often queues for food. The tablecloths are dirty and stained! I don't think they change at all. The waiters clean only the dishes, and the leftovers of food lie on the tables. When I asked to clean, I was told that this is not the responsibility of the waiter.
6. Sun loungers on the beach are common for 2 hotels "NONA" and "ELITSA". But for all vacationers they are NOT ENOUGH. When asked to help us with finding a sunbed, the hotel administrator replied that the hotel had nothing to do with the beach and could not help us with anything. Therefore, sunbeds should be taken early in the morning...
But there are also pluses:
1. The beach is huge, clean. The bottom of the sea is flat. Great for kids.
2. A chic park where you can walk in the heat or in the evenings.
3. Great amusement park for kids. No need to figure out how to entertain a child. The main thing is to have enough money...
CONCLUSION: Albena is an excellent resort for families with children! BUT NOT AT THE NONA HOTEL. I recommend to relax in Albena in hotels built in the 2000s.
I want to go to Albena again, and it is to these hotels located in the distance, but perhaps to Gergana, there are 4 stars, they have their own pools, children's animation. But only in the period from June 15 to August 25, all the same, at least I want warmth, sun, and not antibiotics to drink and wrap myself in sweaters.
Yes, I also want to say that in Albena there is a system of encouraging or attracting customers, when for each full week of stay at the resort you are entitled to one lunch and one dinner at another restaurant in the resort. Guides at the meeting prefer not to talk about it. At the reception there is a folder with a list of restaurants where you can go. I would say, it’s worth having lunch in a French restaurant, it is located in the highest building of the resort on the 17th floor, there is also a panoramic platform there, and to dine in a Mexican one, in the evenings a Mexican ensemble performs there, in national costumes, it’s interesting. It is not worth going to the European one at all. In general, in the restaurants themselves, guests who come according to this system are not liked, the attitude towards them is appropriate. It turns out that you do not pay money, although they have already been paid at the restaurant of your hotel, but this has nothing to do with the restaurant you came to. You will be put in the worst place and the attitude will be one that will spoil or spoil this visit. This is clearly noticeable and not pleasant. So to go or not is the question.
If anyone has questions, I'll be happy to answer.
