For example, I chose "Magnolia" because the hotel allegedly underwent reconstruction in 2013, it has good reviews on booking as for a 3-star hotel with the "All Inclusive" system, and also - it is inexpensive. In the end, we weren't disappointed. And even - were satisfied. Average hotel, average. At first, I noticed some shortcomings, such as: somewhere in the pool, the tiles fell off and mold was visible under the pool borders.

But, it's just clear that the hotel is "working for wear and tear"... like everything else in the busy season.
What we were very pleased with was the food! Excellent cuisine! Everything was there: a variety of meat dishes, fish, side dishes, pastries - very tasty bread and rolls, salads, fruits (also melons and watermelons - always), etc. Always came out full. I didn’t like only the early dinner regime: at 18-00...
There is also a system for cooking vegetables, meat, grilled potatoes. Tasty. There was no food poisoning! (but at the same time, as I understand it, you just need to eat "wisely", and not overeat everything without measure, because like "on the ball").
As a bonus, during the day there was always ice cream by the pool in the snack bar, although there was often a queue for it (as well as for pancakes, french fries - in the restaurant during breakfast-lunch).
What I didn’t like: so that I was very indignant at something - no, everything was stable and at a good, average level. The attitude of the staff was not very good, somehow they did everything with a forced smile and reluctantly. Frankly did not like the contingent of vacationers (but this is not the fault of the hotel): the Germans and the British. They frankly screwed up, for example, where they drank beer (well, at least in a plastic glass), they left its container there, even if it was a pool (((
Generally - a family-type hotel, a lot of children.
Animation - at an excellent level, but the animation - again - is not the property of the hotel, they even had "Albena Animation" written on their T-shirts - that is. treated in general to the resort.
The resort itself is very nice. The fact that it is green, the town is simply buried in the park area. To go to the sea - along the ladder, but through the park, it's not hot. In the evenings, it smells pleasantly of pine needles and freshness.
The Bulgarians themselves, vacationers, said that they prefer Albena exclusively for relaxation - precisely because it is not a stupid beach and sands, and concrete hotels, but the sea and greenery, needles around.

I do not recommend to go to this hotel! choose the better standing next to "Orchid". The rooms are so-so, work was leaking in the toilet and ants were crawling, the towel holder was literally kept on snot, but this is all nonsense compared to a restaurant, this is not a restaurant, but a canteen !!! ! First you need to find a place to sit, then the chase begins for plates, forks, and in the morning for cups.

The glasses are dirty, the plates just took out just everything in fat, the food is monotonous, unthinkable vegetable casseroles are completely inedible for us, their cutlets and sausages all taste the same because of spices, and regardless of whether it is chicken or pork (there is no beef at all). They almost don’t give potatoes, since they gave them all so cold. Desserts are the same. My kid only ate fried chicken legs and pasta there so everything else was very special. On the territory of the hotel and just do not have a single normal children's playground nearby, in the evening the only thing you can do for children is to go down to the sea (it's about 17-180 steps) and ride the children on local attractions, there is nowhere to go and nothing to do. The sea was warm but there was a lot of algae, then at least they began to clean them up and clean the shore. There is a bus to the sea every half an hour from the hotel. Animation for children in Bulgarian, adult......... mmmm I don't know what to say)))) You can rent a safe for 20 leva per week. We went to Varna, taxi 70 leva round trip, were in the shopping center Varna Mall, there is nothing to do there, we have much better stores. In short, I will never go there again, that's for sure!

We rested in Magnolia 3+ in August-September 2010, the three of us (me, mother and daughter 2.5 years old). Initially, the ticket was to Magnolia Standard, but upon check-in we were given Magnolia 3+ (suite), as a large group drove into the standard and they did not want to be settled in different buildings. As our guide said. everything is the same in the standard, repair, condo, euro windows, only the rooms are much smaller (no more than 2 people + a child). Welcoming party travel agency Good Day is the best!! ! Special thanks to Slava, who patronized and supported us throughout our stay!! ! I want to say right away that I did not choose this hotel for a long time, since I have been resting in Albena for the sixth time and I know all the hotels firsthand. When we were there for the last time in 2006 in Lora 2 *, this hotel was simply the height of perfection for us, so when I was going to Albena with a child, I didn’t really think about it. To be honest, in Bulgaria I am attracted exclusively by the sea, the beach, the sun and the fact that there is practically no climatization. Each time leaving from there, the impressions and memories were only the most positive. But this time, from the very beginning, everything went wrong. . . I can’t say anything bad about the hotel, for the money that we paid for the ticket (60.000 for three for 2 weeks all inclusive), I think it’s a great option. But the staff is something! Instead of experienced staff at the reception, they put students who completely lack any concept of respect for guests. It was impossible to get an intelligible answer to absolutely any question, and in some cases they were frankly rude. On the third day of rest, my daughter caught a rotovirus infection, terrible vomiting, diarrhea, and fever began. So at the reception they didn’t even help to contact the insurance company, citing the fact that their phone is temporarily not working. Hot boiled water was impossible to interrogate after the bar in the lobby closed. When they left, we were ordered to pay the bill for the irretrievably lost sheets, which my daughter got dirty when she vomited terribly. And right away, when we gave these sheets to the maid, no one said anything and they say whether the waste products cannot be washed off with a gastric disorder. . . Nothing particularly terrible happened, of course, but all these little things left such a negative impression of the rest that I will never go there again with a child (I mean Magnolia, not Bulgaria in general). We all the time rested on the third line in Albena, but I did not take into account that getting to the sea with a child is difficult. Of course, in the morning we took a free shuttle to the sea, but since it runs only until 17-00, in the evening we didn’t have time to go back, and honestly, it’s not a fountain to climb the stairs to the third line with a child. Therefore, after a daytime sleep, we were exclusively at the pool (when the weather allowed) or walked around the territory. the pool is really cool with slides and a kids area but nothing special. No animation, with a child under 3 years old you can die of boredom. There was some kind of children's disco from 19-30 to 20-00, but it was not in Russian and my daughter was not interested (because nothing is clear). About food: of course, in comparison with 2006, the range of dishes has greatly thinned. There was everything: chicken and meat and fish, but all the time the same thing, I got tired in 2 weeks, although we didn’t go hungry. Almost all fruits are unripe and very dirty. It is strictly forbidden to eat them in a restaurant or you need to wash them in the toilet (and you can’t take them out, they look like criminals even if you have a dishonest peach in your hand). Somewhere after August 5, most of the restaurant was closed (supposedly there were few people, the closing of the season) and the assortment completely thinned out. There was nothing to eat except sausages with eggs for breakfast. French fries, for which there was a constant queue, are more like crackers "3 crusts" - and this is on the children's buffet. There was some kind of porridge, but we never ate it, since it is not made with milk and is very sweet. There was never a melon, although I myself saw how in the backyard of the restaurant they unloaded it in whole boxes. Where she ended up is not clear. In general, next year, if we go to Albena again (and there is such a possibility), then I will choose a hotel on the first line from the sea and probably not on an all-inclusive basis, but at breakfasts and dinners, so as not to waste precious time on hiking from the sea and back (you can always have a bite on the shore in any cafe). Our guide recommended us the Orlov and Kaliope hotels, Druzhba, or if it’s cheaper for anyone, Panorama and Compass on the third line (they have been working on the Ultra all-inclusive system for 2 years with the possibility of a light lunch on the beach in the Havanna bar on the sea. And in Magnolia I I will never go again, just terrible memories of today's vacation will not allow. If not for the help of Glory from Good Day, we would probably have disappeared, although, as I said, in past years, this hotel seemed wonderful to me. But as they say, everything is known in comparison. To me it seems that in Laura 2 * the attitude was much better. My advice to mothers with children is not to go on vacation to Magnolia, I don’t think that joining the European Union benefited the young generation of Bulgaria. Enjoy your holidays.

We didn't like it!! ! rested in August 2010. food - perhaps a lot, but it's very tasteless. The child did not eat anything, it was just a problem to feed. True, there are a lot of fruits. The rooms are very so-so, tiled ice floor. Cleaned every day, but the feeling of cleanliness was not. bed linen was changed once in 12 days - for some reason the day after our arrival.

The staff in Russian is neither be nor me. The air conditioning was often turned off - it was knocking out the traffic jams. I had to turn it on several times during the night - it immediately became stuffy. The electrician promised at the reception did not wait. I don’t know who smelled the chestnuts at night (see other reviews), if we open the balcony, humid warm air was blowing. The sea is far and high, the bus is free, crowded, like in the city at rush hour, so we went by train for 70 rubles for two (but it takes 40 minutes). The sandy beach is good, but dirty (cigarette butts). I would not go there again. And I don't recommend it to others. However, they say that Magnolia is now worse than it was before. Visually I liked the Kaliakra hotel, it is also on the seashore.

We rested in Magnolia at the beginning of July 2010, everything is fine, but the dishes in the restaurant are VERY badly washed, once I took a cup with traces of lipstick, in principle, during my stay with the stomach everything was fine, so maybe this is normal. The second point is that the room is not cleaned well, the linen has not been changed for a week, I think that it would be possible to replace the razik, there is a dirty tile in the shower room, the toilet was leaking, but the air conditioner worked))) you can get to the beach by bus, the stop is nearby with the hotel.

I liked the hotel, the rooms were beautiful and comfortable, the room had a shower, air conditioning, TV. The room was cleaned every day. The food was excellent (buffet) five times a day (three times in the restaurant and twice by the pool). The pool was cool, there were two slides, two small waterfalls, and one big one.

But in general, I really liked it, I would like to return there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

We rested in September. 3 adults + 2 children (6 years old and 2 years old). I liked everything, but there are complaints about the restaurant: unclean dishes, queues for something tasty (to take french fries for a child, they stood in line for 40 minutes), once they took oatmeal porridge for a child, it turned out to be spoiled.

The sea is super, for 2 weeks of stay, it was only 1 day calm, but the children really enjoyed swimming in the waves, the sea is quite shallow. The hotel is nice and has an elevator.

They stopped washing the dishes at all, because of the grease it slipped out of the hands. Dirt fell off vegetables, so we did not take salads or chopped vegetables. The serving staff are students (sort of), and what they need after work is, of course, fun, so the op, the music continued until 2 am. We lived on the first floor, and their rooms were below us, so we took an active part in their fun, swearing every night. But after the manager spoke to them, the noise subsided, but personal beach towels disappeared from our balcony (we think it was revenge). True, after that we were given another room on the second floor. The food is so-so, after a week of monotonous food, they began to walk around the local cafes. There is practically no food for children, there is a children's table, but the hand did not rise to feed the child with this slop, it seemed that everything that the adults did not eat was laid out on the children's table. In general, the hotel pulls for 2, but Albena herself is just super. There are no words to convey what kind of nature is there, trees are all around, and so close to us: birch, pine, spruce, maple, oak. The feeling that you are somewhere in the suburbs, but at the same time you are lucky with the weather every day, and even the sea is close by with a sandy beach, like in a fairy tale. I recommend everyone to visit Albena, but not Magnolia.

For 5 years, until 2007, we went to Magnolia from the Neva and believed that there was no better hotel in Albena. After a 2-year break, we arrived with a joyful feeling for 3 weeks in July, however, none of our expectations came true ...the trouble started right away, at the reception. We arrived around 10 am and were told to "sit! wait! be silent! " (- we literally heard this from the senior manager in the tone of the warden from the prison camp) until 2 pm, and our timid questions about lunch, which is until 2- x and about the fully paid first day of rest caused outbursts of irritation among the staff.

" (- we literally heard this from the senior manager in the tone of the warden from the prison camp) until 2 pm, and our timid questions about lunch, which is until 2- x and about the fully paid first day of rest caused outbursts of irritation among the staff. We paid for 2 rooms - 2 and 1-bed, the keys were finally given to us, but the rooms were at different ends of the corridor and one of them overlooks a bar with endless beer and music.
We are middle-aged people, and asked for something calmer, to which we were told that there was nothing else, although the Bulgarian citizens were settled freely as they arrived (for 3 days of the week-end) At more insistent requests, the senior manager again appeared with manners warden and began to yell that we were already offered 4 (!!! ) rooms, but we did not want to move in, while she called the representative from the "Neva" Toshka Todorova (remember this name) and yelled the same thing to her. And what is most offensive, this so-called representative, without asking us anything, began to tell us on the phone how bad we are. The attitude towards us is simply disregard, although if we were wrong three times, she should be on our side, because her salary is our money! I just had to hang up.
In the end, we insisted on the rooms nearby, the settlement happened.
Next up is a complete disappointment from a previously great restaurant.
Where did cola light, sugar free jams, normal coffee and other diet food go? There is nothing to eat there except pork and chicken cholesterol wings. The choice of vegetables is poor, there is a crowd for fruits, for pancakes in the morning there is an eternal tail for 45 minutes, some kind of wild music yells so that we don’t hear each other, but it’s impossible to eat at all. In short, the culture is growing - the European Union after all! God forbid you or your child to take a peach or 5 cherries with you after dinner - they rush like thieves. And before that it was not! By the way, about the dishes. Explain to me why all drinks, including the disgusting swill "coffee" from the machine, is poured into microscopic plastic cups? Hot and small. Saving?
You cannot go to a restaurant alone, someone must guard your food. The picture is constant: I got food, I went for water, the waiters came and threw the food away. And dirty tables are in no hurry to clean up...The restaurant manager is a completely insane young man.
When asked to turn down the volume, turn it up even louder.
About all inclusive. Previously, the lobby bar was in the hotel and by the pool. From 16-00 a grill was working near the restaurant. There was ice cream in the hotel and by the pool, there was a lot of fruit . . Now everything has been removed, everything remains only at the far end of the pool. For example, at the age of 60, it is difficult for me to go to the pool in the heat. Yes, it is the same with small children - there is nowhere to sit, it's hot, noisy. Yes, and the choice is no fruit, no pastries, no potatoes, again pork cutlets and sausages. What are there 3 *** +, the hotel is barely 2 stars.
In short, I don't go there anymore.
