We'll cry for you, Argentina!
All good things come to an end sometime. Thus ended the tour to Buenos Aires. I really discovered a completely new Argentina for myself, not the one I "googled" a week before leaving. The size of my impressions does not fit into the range of words cool, cool, cool. It's beautiful, magical, incredible, but real and very impressive! ! ! But how can you learn everything about Argentina in 5 days? No way. But you can try! ! ! Acquaintance with the City of the Holy Trinity and the Port of our Lady St. Mary of the Good Winds took place at the end of our spring, and their end of summer. Therefore, the warm sky of Argentina comfortably sheltered us in its open spaces. And the first day of arrival was devoted to photography. Armed with cameras, we visited one of the most famous photographers in Argentina and together with him we went to one of the parks in the city center. And you know, nothing special, but ...in Kyiv that day it was -5C, and in Buenos Aires +26.
And it made the day even more beautiful.
Upon returning to the Palermo Soho Loft hotel, I wanted only one thing - to sleep. The 16-hour flight made itself felt, and fatigue fell from my feet.
The second day brought an acquaintance with the graffiti of the capital of Argentina, or as it is called there - murales. The tour guide girl's name was Marina, she spoke English, but I still didn't understand - she was Argentine or just learned the language well at school. From her blue tights and orange slippers, it immediately became clear that Marina is a creative person, and she led the tour with the same inspiration. Nurv, Pum Pum and Jazz are all the names I remember. You can see some of their paintings by browsing the gallery. All that artists need to paint this or that wall is just to knock on the door of the owners. It was only in Buenos Aires that I realized that after all, graffiti is an art. In addition, local artists taught us how to make small stencil graffiti paintings.
In the evening we were to get acquainted with another element of the South Americans - football.
And it's not that the Argentina national team is one of the most titled teams in world football. The thing is the spirit of the fans that prevails at the stadium even during not very important ones or during “youth” matches. La Bombonera - Brandsen Street stadium, where the Boca Juniors team settled and the place where we spent the evening of the second day. The La Bombonera arena is known for vibrating when the fans start bouncing together. But that evening, just everything vibrated: the fans danced, sang, beat drums, threw papers. This is so cool! And believe me, now I am a Boca Juniors fan too! In front of us sat two men who tried to take pictures of each other in front of the fans, but they did not succeed. I offered to help, although we were warned about security measures (less show that they are not local).
After a successful shot for them, they asked where we were from and when they heard the name of the country, they immediately issued: "Oh, Shevchenko! Dynamo-Kyiv. " Nicely : -)
And then there were dances - “Godskitchen”, where Paul Van Dyk, Sander Van Doorn played that day. An unforgettable unity of music, light and a huge number of people. As it became known later, there were about 10.000 people. We danced until 5 am. The party was a success!
In the morning at the hotel we were met by cars of the 60-70s: Chevrolet Impala, Ford Falcon, Plymouth. Fellow motorists will understand! After all, we went to the tourist area "La Boca" on them. That's just Sinatra in the player and that's it - nowhere is cooler.
Old multi-colored houses, painted with the remnants of ship paint. The area is filled with souvenir shops and cafes. Tango smells at every step, because it was in the Argentine capital that tango turned into a cult object for the lower strata of society, and it was from here that it spilled over into Europe. We were given a performance and an Argentine tango lesson.
Still, it's nice when your teacher claps his hands in gratitude and praise and looks you straight in the eyes!
In the same place in La Boca, we went to have lunch at a restaurant. The owner, seeing such an unearthly Ukrainian beauty, asked where we were from. And when he heard that we were Ukrainians, he was sincerely delighted, immediately admitting that his grandfather had brought his father to Argentina from Ukraine. He asked how we are, how we are and how his native Chernivtsi. He spoke English, but the kinship of souls still manifested itself in his eyes : )
In the evening we visited a restaurant, where the order is made in advance via the Internet.
Otherwise, when you come there for dinner one evening, you risk standing at its door for a couple of hours. But I would advise you not to give up this thought and still wait. This meat is simply divine! The portions are incredibly huge! Service is beyond praise!
The fifth day I will never forget. Tigre region.
It is located in the delta of the Parana River, which flows into La Plata. The buildings of the colonial period and even the residences of the presidents of Argentina have been preserved here, in particular, the residence of Peron is located in a special glass dome. This is a favorite place for the residents themselves to relax. There is a zoo, a park, but most importantly, there is an opportunity to ride a boat or a catamaran. A special food boat runs here, and you definitely won’t die of hunger. But when I saw a villa on one of the islands in the Tigre region, I realized that I would not only stay here to dine, but also live forever. A beautiful white building, a blue pool, beautiful orchids - and all this is surrounded by greenery and trees. Having closed your eyes from pleasure, you no longer want to open them so as not to fall into reality, which will take you away from this beautiful place tomorrow.
Other sights made a special impression: Recoleta, and La Plaza de Mayo Square, 9th of July Avenue, and the Obelisk. But almost everyone knows about them, so I wanted to see another Argentina. And we saw her. And they loved. Forever and ever.
