Vlora, Albania 2020. Resort that surprises
Dear friends! During this unusually difficult period, we all wanted an outlet and a vacation, but alas, since many borders are closed for Ukrainians, we chose Albania, and more specifically, the resort town of Vlora.
Why Vlore?
This city has one indisputable advantage - it is the junction of two seas: the Adriatic and the Ionian, this is the city from which the Albanian Riviera begins and the nearest city of the Alani Riviera from Tirana Airport, only 125 km.
The city was extremely pleasantly surprised, very clean, especially if we take the Adriatic part, an abundance of cafes, restaurants, a new embankment. By the way, the embankment is a separate issue. I've heard many people complain that it's concrete and that's it, dear comrades, you haven't seen the concrete Promenade des Anglais in Nice yet.
Vlore is a very cozy city, the Adriatic part is rebuilt and somewhat reminiscent of Greece, and in some places even the buildings of Salou in Spain.
There are both sandy beaches on the Adriatic and pebbly beaches on the territory of Ionic. But I’ll note right away: the Ionic part is under construction, there is no sidewalk, and even though the sea is azure, it’s still not enough for a comfortable stay.
There are a lot of restaurants, but 95% is dominated by Italian cuisine, be prepared for this; ) The prices will pleasantly please many, on average, a full dinner with seafood for three will cost around 20 euros, and the portions are gigantic, without additions.
