Service type: пакетный тур

On April 30, we paid for a tour for two to Montenegro from 11.06 to 18.06. tour operator Join Up. We agreed on the category of the room and separately - the presence of a balcony (for smokers this matters). For the balcony - a separate surcharge. The voucher says - standard, double, with a balcony.

Vouchers and tickets received on June 9, i.е. the day before departure.

Departure from Kyiv on June 11 at 9-30, we are in Odessa, so we left by train on June 10 at 7 pm.

Upon arrival at the hotel (villa), they unexpectedly put us in a standard room without a balcony and with a small window in a niche (!). The window is such that it is dark in the room even during the day.

The host travel agent contacts the tour operator (Join Up) and it turns out that they have "overbooking" and no rooms with the agreed conditions, and in general last night (June 10!) we were warned about this and we had the right to refuse the tour and get the money back. Blatant lie. And not only about the fact that we were not warned (by this time we were already at the station in Odessa), but also about the lack of numbers (a little lower about this).

We began to call ourselves in Kyiv to the Join Up office by the numbers listed on the website. Instead of solving the problem and taking some action, they faced rudeness and rudeness - “where did you get your phone number from?”, “you bought a promotional tour, so what did you want”, etc.

They settled, but, having found out the next day that there were free rooms nearby - and similar to the one for which they paid, and better, they decided to still get paid.

Having gone to the office of the receiving travel agent, showing the voucher and explaining the situation, they insisted on relocation.

Only then we were given a list (!) of free rooms for the duration of our tour and we moved to a good room...

1) What kind of "overbooking" were they talking about in Join Up?

2) how could out-of-town tourists be warned about changing conditions in the evening less than a day before departure?

3) why is it impossible to get any information or help on the phones indicated on the sites?

In addition to us, together 2 more couples of tourists who flew with us and bought tours from Join Up got into an unpleasant situation:

- 2 women, not relatives, ordered a double with separate beds (in the voucher, in addition to what is written "twin", it is also separately printed separately - but this still did not help them). They are placed in a room with one shared bed. There is only one answer to all objections - according to the information of the tour operator, you were warned yesterday.

- the family ordered and paid (!) for a room with a kitchen (there are such, but they were occupied), they are accommodated in a room without a kitchen ...

You already know the answer of the tour operator ...

Several cases with different people, incorrect attitude and communication, a mess in the organization and distribution of rooms...

And a complete lack of responsibility for the fact that "we take money for one thing, but provide it - anyhow."

Warning for everyone who wants to use the services of the tour operator Join Up:

- be careful and insist that the voucher indicates all the conditions you paid.

- be prepared for non-standard unpleasant situations.

- do not hesitate to demand what you paid for.
