Tour operator JoinUp! (in Egypt, this office is called Sun International) left rather negative than positive impressions.

Everything is always done at the last moment and late.

Upon arrival in Egypt, the meeting officer knew almost no Russian, did not want to communicate in English, and waved it aside when asked to help fill out the migration card. And so he brushed aside not only from me.

They just dropped us off at the hotel, closed the doors and left. You should not expect any help in settling in and in communicating with the hotel administration, which does not understand Russian well.

The hotel guide, Mohammed Muaffi, seems to behave professionally at the meeting, and it can be seen from him that he is knowledgeable in all matters. But he is never in touch at the right time, it is impossible to get through to him. And to manage the solution of organizational issues that arise for the clients entrusted to him at the entire stage of their vacation is his direct responsibility.

Tour buses in most cases are also late. In principle, this is not surprising, because. they pick up tourists in hotels one by one and there is always someone everyone is waiting for. But you can also warn about being late for more than 10 minutes on viber or by calling. Waiting always takes place at the check-in desks, where there is free Wi-Fi.

Some JoinUp tours are on the verge of some kind of scam.

So, during an excursion to Dahab that costs $50-60, you are forced to buy additional glasses for $15 and a scarf for $2-3, which are necessary to complete the standard excursion program. Really for such money it is impossible to take into account such trifles? Thanks to the guide Hamdi who helped me solve the problem in a way that was acceptable to me.

In principle, I understand everything - people also want to earn money, and salaries in Egypt are not super. Guides drive customers to vendors and then split the money with them. Okay, okay... everyone is spinning as best they can. In fairness, I’ll say that the guides warn where you can bargain and help you find cheaper goods.

But the story of the departure was really outraged. I was not on time in the lists for the transfer to the airport and for the flight. The problem was solved just 3 hours before the shuttle bus left and 6 hours before the departure. According to the regulations, the lists must be ready a day before departure.

I do not know who is to blame - the hotel administration, the guide, the travel agency or the agency that sold the tour of this travel agency. I will say one thing - I informed all of them about the problem and they all immediately abruptly "went out into the cold." As a result of an hour and a half attempts managed to stir up the hotel guide Mohammed Muafi and he sent the correct list. Absolutely everyone refused to comment on the causes of the problem.

Before departure, the representatives of JoinUp did not help to find their way at the airport. Dropped off and left, then figure it out for yourself.

A little about the pros, which, alas, do not outweigh the cons.

Good comfortable buses. normal drivers. A funny guard with a machine gun who accompanied tourists outside of Sharm el-Sheikh.

Separately, I liked the guide Hamdi, who managed to help with financial problems on the tour.
