I would like to share my impressions of the trip to Sri Lanka and, in particular, the work of the host country.
In my case it was Concord Exotic.
I bought the tour through the Arriva agency a month before the trip.
The flight, oddly enough, was relatively easy.
Arrived in Colombo around 3 am.
At the exit from the airport, we accidentally saw a woman with a leaf of exotic concord. It's good that we didn't pass by.
We waited about 40 minutes until all the passengers were found.
Then it turned out that one couple lost their suitcase, they waited another 50 minutes until they filed an application.
Total already about 5 am.
We all left on one huge bus, to the first hotel, according to the assurances of the guide, 1.5 - 2 hours.
We drove about 2.5.
It turned out that, unlike Turkey, the guide would go out and settle with everyone (later it turned out that it was by no means an extra measure).
We talked a little about the country.
Then the next hotel and another 10-15 minutes, and the next and another.
At the 5th hotel, already at about 8-30 in the morning, three people were dropped off and told that they would go further on their own in a separate car !!!
We arrived at our hotel around 9 am (4 hours by bus).
Suddenly it turns out that there are no available rooms in the hotel. And absolutely.
The guide suggests that we move somewhere because there will be no rooms for 2 days. And as compensation from the hotel offers a bottle of wine and a fruit basket. It is impossible to get through to Kyiv in Kyiv at 5 am (((
The guide leaves to settle the rest and draws back.
Hanging out in a hotel until 11 somewhere (3 couples due to bad luck) periodically called the manager Olga from the local Concord and complains that we do not want to go to meet them for a bottle of wine.
No one is considering our offer to accommodate us at this time in a hotel of the highest category (we have 4 rooms).

Moreover, in fact, we communicate with the reception in an active form, we, the guide and the local will perform the role of translators and are very offended when we make claims.
The local story is that we bought the cheapest of what is and, in general, what kind of claims can there be.
Now, if we were driving through Teztur, then there would be several buses to make it faster. Drives on the firm incredibly.
The local talked to the boss and promised that the mensta would be by 14 00. I got through to Kyiv, they also promised to resolve the issue ....

Reception phoned at our request neighboring hotels, it turned out that someone overslept.

we have a very similar story:
We decided to go on a honeymoon trip to Sri Lanka. We went to the Passion Fruit travel agency in Kyiv and chose a hotel. The tour operator was Join UP, hosted by Corncord Exotic.
There are no complaints about the agency, everyone was available, the hotel was really good, of course, not like in the photo, but this was to be expected.
The work of the tour operator and the host is disgusting. At the airport, there is a barely noticeable inscription printed on a sheet of A4 that they meet tourists Join UP. While everyone gathered at the airport, after a night flight, everyone was tired and reached the bus stop. The boy who met everyone was running around with such a confused look that he didn’t expect our arrival at all. He did not know English, he barely audibly shouted the names of the hotels, not everyone could make out his words, then he poked at the buses where to go. We went to Turkey earlier with a Pegasus tourist - heaven and earth, there is a girl at the counter, you say your last name, she gives you the bus number, everything is clear. We stayed at the Haridra Resort and Spa in Wadduwa, we were barely found on the list and pointed to the bus. When we approached the driver and asked whether tourists from our hotel should put things here, he said in broken English that he didn’t know such a hotel at all and left!! We waited for everyone to gather for about 1.5 hours and this was after a night flight !!!!!!!!! We got on the bus and drove for 2 hours. The escort did not speak English well, did not tell information about the country, did not answer questions.
Upon arrival at the hotel, he said to give a tip to the driver and busied himself so that they would also give him and he would agree on a room of the highest category. Despite the fact that we are newlyweds, there were no bonuses from either the tour operator or the hotel.
A day later, Pandula arrived, a representative of the host country, offered excursions. Kandy – would recommend to everyone, full day tour but interesting. He also urged us on a safari - complete d**!!! We drove 6 hours in one direction, we didn’t see anything interesting there, a waste of time and money.
On the day of departure, call us the same Pandula in the afternoon, he said to be in the lobby at 23, and this is given that the flight is only at 5 in the morning !!! Of course we came, the bus was 30 minutes late because of other tourists. At one in the morning we were thrown out at the airport and offered to wait for 4 hours!!! Registration began an hour after we left. There is nowhere to sit in the waiting room, in general, a wonderful end to the rest. I'm already silent about the service provided by Flydubai, which delayed the flight for more than an hour. 7 checks passed at the airport, however, no one noticed a liter bottle of water)) in general, I do not recommend anyone to use the services of the Join UP tour operator.

Решили ехать в свадебное путешествие на Шри-Ланку. Пошли в турагенство Маракуйя в Киеве, выбрали отель. Туроператором оказалась компания Join UP, принимающая сторона - Корнкорд Экзотик.
Претензий к агенству нет, доступно все рассказали, отель был правда хорош, конечно не так как на фото, но этого стоило ожидать.
Работа туроператора и принимающей стороны – отвратительная. В аэропорту еле заметная напечатанная на листочке А4 надпись что встречают туристов Join UP. Пока все собрались в аэропорту, после ночного перелета все уставшие, дошли до остановки с автобусами. Мальчик который всех встречал бегал с таким растерянным видом что будь-то не ждал нашего приезда вообще. Английского не знал, еле слышно кричал названия отелей, не все могли разобрать его слова, потом тыкал на автобусы куда кому идти. Ездили ранее в Турцию с Пегас туристик – небо и земля, стоит девушка за стойкой, говоришь фамилию, она тебе номер автобуса, все четко. Мы жили в отеле Haridra Resort and Spa в Ваддуве, нас еле нашли в списке и указали на автобус. Когда подошли к водителю и спросили сюда ли складывать вещи туристам из нашего отеля – он на ломаном английском сказал что вобще не знает такого отеля и ушел!! Ждали пока все собируться около 1,5 часа и это после ночного перелета!!!!!!!!! Сели в автобус, ехали 2 часа. Сопровождающий плохо говорил на английском, информации о стране не рассказывал, на вопросы не отвечал.
По приезду в отель сказал дать чаевые водителю и юлил чтобы ему тоже дали и он договорится за номер высшей категории. Не смотря на то что мы молодожены никаких бонусов не было ни со стороны туроператора ни отеля.
Через день приехал Пандула- представитель принимающей стороны, предложил экскурсии. Канди – рекомендую всем, тур на целый день, но интересный. Уламал нас также на сафари – полное г**!!! Ехали 6 часов в 1 сторону, там ничего не увидели интересного, пустая трата времени и денег.
В день отъезда нам днем позвони этот же Пандула, сказал в 23 быть в лобби, и это учитывая что рейс только в 5 утра!!! Мы конечно пришли, автобус опоздал на 30 минут из-за других туристов. В час ночи нас выкинули в аэропорту и 4 часа предложили ждать!!! Регистрация началась через час как нас оставили. Сесть в зале ожидания негде, в общем замечательный конец отдыха. Я уже молчу про сервис предоставляемый Флайдубай, который задержал рейс больше чем на час. В аэропорту прошли 7 проверок, тем не менее литровую бутылку воды никто не заметил)) в общем не рекомендую никому пользоваться услугами туроператора Join UP.

TO: ivanko2 - No need to compare Sri Lanka and Turkey. You do not compare Switzerland or France with Turkey or Egypt. Apparently, before the trip you did not read anything about the country. It's a pity! Sri Lanka just got out of the 35 year war. Maybe you read something or someone told you what happened in the USSR after the war, and then the state of the country in general will be a little clearer. Also, the main population is Buddhists, who never rush anywhere and 5 minutes can be from dawn to dusk. You went to enjoy the ocean, landscapes and exotic - I think that you got it in full. About safari: no one attracts animals by the "ears" just because right now and today you came to see them. This is their natural habitat, and therefore, you may not have seen a sloth bear or a leopard, but this does not mean that they are not there, and this excursion is not worth attention at all.
Dear tourists! When planning a trip, take some time to read about the country you are going to. This applies not only to Sri Lanka, but also to other equally interesting and beautiful countries.

ТО: ivanko2 - Не надо сравнивать Шри Ланку и Турцию. Вы же не сравниваете Швейцарию или Францию с Турцией или Египтом. Судя по всему, перед путешествием Вы ничего не читали о стране. А жаль! Шри Ланка, только вышла из 35-ти летней войны. Может Вы что то читали или кто то Вам рассказывал, что было в СССР после войны и тогда немножко понятней будет состояние страны в общем. Так же основное население - буддисты, которые никуда никогда не спешат и 5 минут может быть от рассвета до заката. Вы ехали наслаждаться океаном, пейзажами и экзотикой – думаю, что это Вы получили в полном объеме. Про сафари: никто не притягивает животных за "уши" лишь только потому, что именно сейчас и сегодня Вы приехали на них посмотреть. Это их естественная среда обитания и потому, может Вы и не видели медведя-губача или леопарда, но это не значит, что их там нет, и эта экскурсия не стоит внимания вообще.
Уважаемые туристы! Собираясь в путешествие, уделите немного времени - почитайте о стране, куда собираетесь ехать. Это касается не только Шри Ланки, но и других не менее интересных и красивых стран.
