I went with the firm "Sakums" for the first time and would like to go again. The points.
Excellent route. In 8 days, from March 23 to March 30, we traveled more than 5 thousand km across Europe, visiting four countries (Poland, Germany, France, Hungary) and five major cities (Krakow, Dresden, Paris, Munich, Budapest). We saw and appreciated from the bus window and on sightseeing tours everything that these countries and cities can boast of and differ from each other. On long hauls (800-900) km we stopped for the night in small towns, in cozy hotels. As a result, during the eight days of the journey, there was only one night crossing, and that one at the end of the journey. Three days in Paris is the dream of any tourist! It's a pity that we didn't get to visit the Transport Museum in Dresden, but the BMW Museum in Munich exceeded all expectations.
We were very lucky with the group leader. Ruslana Martynova, in my opinion, worked flawlessly on this trip: excursions, trips to museums, accommodation in hotels, consultations on independent trips in cities unfamiliar to us, tourists, - everything was organized, fast, informative, useful. When, due to a delay at the border, we were forced to abandon the tour of Krakow, the next day (and it was Palm Sunday), Ruslana, as an experienced guide, showed and told us everything she knew about this city. It was thanks to her advice that we visited the Wawel Tapestry Museum, the Fragonard Perfume Museum in Paris, the famous Hofbräuhaus Beer Hall in Munich, the Széchenyi Baths in Budapest, and much more. And what wonderful guides accompanied us! Larisa in Velichka, Galina Georgievna and Volodya in Paris, Natasha in Munich - alas, I forgot the name of the Dresden guide))) Many thanks to all of them!
I cannot rate the trip 10 points only because the bus was not very comfortable. The management of the company should be more careful in selecting vehicles and drivers for such trips. I admit that for a small group of 30 people, the MAN bus is quite enough. But "climate control" with manual control, a junk video player and squabbles with a navigator did not improve the atmosphere in the cabin. It would be quite possible to serve the bus for the morning departure already refueled, so as not to waste time on the road. There are no complaints about Pan Ivan, and Pan Joseph constantly argued with the leader, shaking some of his rights - and his job was to make the trip as comfortable as possible ... I'm not talking about the fact that in addition to the navigator it was possible and take the cards just in case - then we would not have lost three hours, getting lost in front of the very Hungarian-Ukrainian border. After our bus circled around a village three times (the locals must have amused themselves watching it flicker under the windows), some Magyar couple took pity on us and escorted us almost to the very border.
Nevertheless, despite the fact that we were unlucky with the weather and almost half of the group caught a cold and fought desperately with viruses and temperature, the trip turned out to be wonderful, full of impressions from meetings with European architecture, history, culture, etc., and so on. . I really want to go with "Sakums" and Ruslana again and again!
