from 06/17/2013 to 06/24/2013 my husband and I visited Bulgaria, Sunny Beach, not without the help of a company whose bus transportation services you NEVER recommend to ANYONE -Il Tour.
The vacation was planned back in early March, so we contacted a local tour agent in selecting a hotel, country and resort. I convinced my husband that the bus is not the worst, albeit cheaper, option for a trip, as I had previously traveled abroad by bus and there was not even a doubt about the comfort of the trip!
On the day of departure, we arrived in Kyiv at the station. metro station "Zhytomyr" and as it turned out, the bus does not correspond to the concept of comfort at all. In front of us was an ordinary double-decker bus with 80 seats, such as "Ikarus" the seats are solid and practically do not recline back. Air conditioning, you can say the same conditional as in "Ikarus" if, who knows, there is a small hood above your head. A bus and 3 Bulgarian drivers. Russian of them conditionally understood one and somehow spoke. "Balkan trans service" - this company provided buses for international trips Kyiv-Chernivtsi-Bulgaria !!!! Yes, we met the same buses with conditional comfort in Bulgaria itself !! They serve as regular buses there.
It's just a drop of a nightmare!
The climax was as follows: Terebleche, Chernivtsi region, a few hundred meters from the state border of Ukraine with Romania, there is a gas station with a cafe "Ekvator". At this gas station, our bus stopped to refuel. And as it turned out, the card that drivers used to pay for fuel was blocked. Finding out why it was blocked took about 4 hours! and what kind of tour operator that hires a carrier cannot pay him? I will never believe that the drivers did not have the missing sum in cash - 500 euros! One of the drivers offered to chip in for the missing amount, with the conviction that upon arrival he would return everything to everyone. There were no applicants. Then someone gave the money and the drivers returned it upon arrival. But this is most likely an exception.
On a bridge across a mountain river somewhere in the Chernivtsi region, our bus barely missed a parallel truck, if not for the maneuver of the truck driver, our bus, with a reckless pilot, would have been left without a far-view mirror. it has become!
Instead of the declared 24-27 hours on the road, we drove more than 30 and arrived at the hotel only in the evening, while losing a day of rest. We were already driving home with another crew. Having left the hotel to the place of the scheduled bus waiting, we stood in the heat for about an hour, waiting for people to be picked up from other hotels. The trip to Kyiv was about 40 hours, not counting a few hours at customs. The driver went astray, we meandered around Romania, and then also in Ternopil at some of the interchanges. If not for one passenger who showed the right direction, despite the presence of a navigator for drivers. Everyone who traveled with us as one declares that now they will travel on a trip either by plane, train or their own car.
