Folk art group children's song and dance ensemble "Svitanok"
For the first time we went to the festival in Greece (since 06/23/14) "Olympic Stars" organized under the patronage of the city of Litochoro and the creative union "Association of Variety Art Workers of Ukraine". The tour operator "Alitas-tour" was engaged in the organization of the rest. All information displayed on the tour operator's website was true. A cozy private hotel, 3 meals a day for children and adults and the wonderful Aegean Sea (250 m from the hotel) awaited us, and all this at prices not exceeding those in Bulgaria. There were some questions about the bus (the operation of the air conditioner did not satisfy), but thanks to the qualifications and tact of the drivers, everything was taken into account and smoothed out.
I would like to say something about the festival.
The competition concert in Litohoro was attended by Greek, Macedonian and Ukrainian groups (more than 10).
It was held at a well-organized level under the control of the Litochoro City Hall and the organizer of the "Association of Variety Art Workers of Ukraine". Due to such a large number of participants, it dragged on in time, and therefore they reduced the number of vocal concert numbers. But with the gala concert, problems began. In Litochoro, the International Marathon to Mount Olympus began. And it was attended by more than 1.5 thousand people from 46 countries. The mayor's office allocated very little time to hold a gala concert at the central site. The selection of new venues led to disagreements in the teams, and the organizing committee made the appropriate decision to hold a holiday for children in hotels where they live. On the playgrounds around the pools, a real holiday was arranged for children: a sweet table with cakes, ice cream, juices; a festive disco, as well as the presentation of long-awaited awards: cups, diplomas, letters of thanks for managers and commemorative badges.
Our team participated in many international festivals in Bulgaria, Poland, the Czech Republic, and we can say that this first festival in Greece "Stars of Olympus" within the framework of the "For a happy cloudless sky for children" project took place.
