The food is tasty, although there is not much abundance. The area is not very big. The main pool is heated. Slides work 5 hours a day. There was no animation upon arrival. Only on weekends, when a lot of people came together, there was a mini disco in the evening. And then silence again.
We lived in a standard room, although we booked a wild boar, but upon arrival we were told that they were not staying there now and were given a standard, thanks to them for that. The room was nice and clean with two beds 180 and 120. The cabana rooms are about 120-150 meters from the sea, the cabana area is very green and has its own small pool. We haven't been inside so I can't say what's in there.
The only thing I didn't like was the sea. This is not a sea, but a bay, an artificial peninsula is piled up against the hotel. which is why the water was very warm at that time, but you can swim only in the first half of the day until the water has risen, and then closer to the shore, where it is shallow, further algae and silt. After lunch, the water leaves, and if you want to go into the water, you get into the algae.
There is nothing near the hotel. To get to the nearest supermarket, you need to walk about 3 km, well, or a taxi 2 dirham km + 5 dirham landing.
Yes, for those who are not in the know - upon arrival in this country, when checking into a hotel, be prepared to pay a tourist tax. It depends on the category of the hotel.
Fine sand, smooth entry into the sea, water warm as tea - just a FAIRY TALE.
Everything else was also on the level: food, service, infrastructure.
Hotel "price-quality", I recommend it to everyone.
Upon arrival, we were given a room, spacious, beautiful, overlooking the sea. Mini-bar and buns in the bathroom - everything was and replenished regularly. The beach is large, the entry into the water is gentle, which is great for children. We went to the beach at 6.30-7 in the morning, the sun was not even hot.
After 11 already went to the pool with a bar. The pool is very comfortable to sit with beer, gin and tonic.
What I want to say is that I really like the country, Ras Al Khaimah is generally a city from the realm of fantasy, I highly recommend visiting it.
A staircase leads to the sea. I liked the food very much.
Number: one horror: dirt, dust, cobwebs on the lamps, twilight. Half of the lamps do not burn, shower: it's just a disaster and unsanitary conditions!!! ! The doors are broken, mold in the shower itself, the toilet lid is broken, the air conditioner is leaking for 4 days until they arranged an op with a call to all managers, they did nothing, the smell in the room is like in a landfill, towels with holes and in tatters, cleaning is not daily, but as they want , if you suddenly ordered food in the room, then your leftovers and plates will not be removed for more than a day, even if you put them out the door !!! ! The room is a kennel !!
Receptionist: always dissatisfied faces of employees. . . Most likely due to the lack of air conditioning. . . They do not respond to requests to do something at all. . Favorite answer: ok!!!
Beach: the water is warm, clear, but the beach itself is not well maintained at all!!!!!!
Restaurant: all inclusive system is: breakfast lunch dinner!!!! ! No snacks!!! ! The food is delicious!! ! No choice!! ! Once they even removed that meager buffet and brought a piece of paper with 6 lines, after which they had to call the managers because the children were forced to dine with french fries and EVERYTHING ! ! The rest is hot! ! And then the potatoes were yelled out!!!!
Bars: this is generally a comedy and not bars))))) in free bars for everything on, everything always ended instantly and there weren’t for several days, children had to buy juices in stores !!!! ! Beer, whiskey, cola light, juices - all this periodically disappeared)))) in the bar in the pool there is complete unsanitary conditions . . : the counter itself is covered in fungi and mold... The boards on which the products are cut are all in ants.
Territory: not well-groomed and not monitored: if your neighbor spilled cola, then you will watch this dark dirty spot for a long time!!!
As for some entertainment... They simply do not exist . . After dinner, everyone sleeps !!!! ! there is nothing for children or adults to do . .
On weekends the locals come. How many rested and traveled around the world for the first time faced such horror !!! ! You can't even rate this hotel. . Disgusting place!! !
A few words about the transfer. Flying with FlyDubai. I would like to note that the flight from Ukraine takes 5 hours and do not count on any solid food on the plane - everything is scarce, paid and quite expensive. I recommend eating either before the flight, or get ready to "pay" 5-10 AED (1AED = $ 3.6) for tea / coffee, 20-25 AED for beer or 50 ml of alcohol and 20 AED for an absolutely tasteless sandwich or roll. We did not know this information in advance and boarded the plane without having lunch. And they were already ready to buy something to chew on when it turned out that out of the entire "variety" of the menu, only egg and cheese sandwiches were available: cold, dry and tasteless. And considering that upon arrival, you will have another hour or two transfer to the hotel, you need to think twice about lunch, if this is important for you.
Upon arrival, formal passport control, a photo of the iris (you just need to look at the camera for a couple of seconds) and a meeting with the host. Transfer to the hotel, by the way, was very pleased. No delays, no waiting. And given the fact that only 4 people from the entire plane were heading to this hotel, they were all transported en masse on one bus (toyota, with air conditioning), and four of us personally on two brand new Audis. Upon arrival at the hotel, dinner was held for us (and we arrived after midnight). As for the organization of the departure transfer, there are some nuances. The return flight was at 9 am and, accordingly, the check-out time from the hotel was scheduled for 3.45 (for UAE charter flights, the rule is to be at the airport for check-in 3 hours before departure).
Firstly, naturally no one wants to have breakfast at such an early hour, so we asked in advance at the reception to pack something 'little things' with us, to which we received approving 'nods' from the smiling administrator. As a result, it turned out a little differently: 10 minutes before the departure time of the bus, they opened the kitchen for us, where there was tea, and after 5 minutes they brought some more rolls. Making tea with one foot, chewing a bun with the other, and running out to the exit with the third, the last "breakfast to go" passed. By the way, this is not the first time when the receptionists did not fulfill the requests (3 times they had to be reminded to bring an adapter for their plug from the outlet). “To evict us, by the way, they came not at 3.45 but at 3.30, but what’s true is true, they honestly waited outside the door for 10 minutes while we finished washing. Here, again, there was a slight misunderstanding.
The person responsible for checking the room during check-out, when checking the refrigerator / minibar, took out a bottle of gin (40 AED) and started telling me that it was open and supposedly I drank half. I really used the minibar, but only everything I took (alcohol was not on this list) was specially paid in advance at the reception in the evening before departure. As a result, after several cold-blooded “no, I didn’t touch it, ” the person with the phrase “come on, I didn’t see anything at all” walked away. A trifle, but unpleasant. The driver of the arrived bus (an hour late) almost forgot 2 tourists, not noticing their names in his sheet. Be vigilant : ) Two other passengers on arrival at Dubai airport almost got dropped off at the wrong terminal. Strictly speaking, these are all objective disadvantages. Now about the hotel itself, excursions and other little tricks.
In general, the hotel is not bad (for those who go to rest not in the "high season", and when prices are 30-40% lower than at the current time, it's a sin to complain about). The hotel is located at the exit of the city of Ras Al Khaimah. On foot, except for the neighboring cafe, club and alcohol store, you will not get anywhere. A taxi to the nearest supermarket (al hamra mall) costs 15/10 AED (round trip). A taxi to the largest RAK Mall in this emirate, as well as to the bus stop (RAK bus station) will cost you about 50 AED. Taxi to Dubai - 150 AED, regular bus to Dubai - 20AED (on the way back, you can politely ask the bus driver to stop near the hotel, because the way to the city center of ras al khaimah, to the bus station still lies through it (respectively, you do not need to spend additional 50 AED for the way from the center to the hotel).
Finishing the topic about "how to get to Dubai", I will add that buses run from RAK (ras al khaimah bus station) to Dubai and back every hour, from about 7 to 21 (check with the driver / at the earliest and latest times). checkout). Continuing the theme of the hotel. There are two types of rooms - cabana and chalet (standard, superior). The first is a kind of houses with a small terrace (they were mostly occupied by non-Russian-speaking vacationers). The second - ordinary rooms in two-storey complexes. There is no horror, as some tourists write about, in the boar. Inside, in fact, the same thing as in ordinary rooms. And when you come with a company, it’s generally cool to sit on the terrace. The standard room differs from the superior room only in the absence of an electric kettle and tea and coffee bags replenished every morning for free. Rooms are clean and cleaned regularly. Bed linen was changed 2 times during 7 days stay. 2 bottles of water were provided daily for free.
The food is also quite decent - a buffet (sausages, jacket potatoes, spaghetti with mozzarella, yogurt, fruits, sweets - everything was there). The menu for 7 days has not changed dramatically, but nevertheless it was really pleasant and appetizing to eat. Meals were taken HB (breakfast + dinner) and I strongly recommend not to refuse such a minimum, because there is, in fact, nowhere to go to eat nearby, and it will be more expensive to go to the city center. On Friday, Saturday (these are Arab days off) at dinner there was a small animation in the form of a karaoke singer with a fairly rich repertoire and a pleasant voice and an oriental-style dancer. This worldview was held in the open air near the restaurant near the pool. Finishing the topic 'about eating'. If you go along the road from the hotel to the highway and walk 100 meters towards the city, at the first turn to the left there will be the only normal alcohol store in the area.
Almost everything is there and the prices, if higher than duty free, are not much. In general, to rest on a drunk head and defiantly 'ring' bottles, especially outside the hotel, the Arabs are not very welcome. In the Dubai metro, a large fine will be issued for such a case, and in Sharjah they will simply be taken to the police. So gentlemen, be careful. The national composition of the vacationers was approximately the following: 50% of Russian speakers (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, etc. ), the rest were Germans, Poles, Americans and Indians. The audience is quite calm.
And, most importantly, the sea. The hotel has its own beach. And then I happened to see both his 'white' and 'black' side. There were always enough beds. It is really cozy on the shore, despite the ongoing construction nearby. But there is one but. This area is subject to frequent storms (usually at night) and after high tides it often brings mud and shells to the shore, many of which are quite sharp.
The way out of the situation is to swim in flip flops (it’s a pity that we only found out about this by cutting our heels: ). Again, during high tides, you need to go to a normal depth of 30 meters, if not more. Otherwise, no complaints. If you swim in flip flops, any weather and situation under your feet will be 'high'. By the way, in the last 3 days, the sea was especially clean, transparent and up to a depth of 15 meters, no more. Speaking of the sun. It's really hellishly evil here : ) You can burn out in a few minutes, you yourself won't notice it. Therefore, the recommendation: at least from 11 am to 3 pm it is better not to show up on the beach at all, even in the shade. But this is only advice from a tourist to tourists, it's up to you : )
Of the excursions, I recommend a safari and an overview of Dubai (they took it from their own, Natalie Tours, they did not regret it). The receptionists were not opposed to changing dinner for lunch for these two excursion days (since the departure for the excursion was late).
Another caveat, the Internet in the hotel is paid (20 AED per hour). There are cafes in al hamra mall where you can supposedly catch a free option.
Verdict - the hotel fulfills its 4 * for a solid 4+.
Food for 4.
Location at 5-.
Beach at 4-.
Excursions for 5.
P. s. if not RAC, then in terms of recreation you can still consider Fujairah and Dubai itself (according to the reviews of local tourists and guides). Yes, and more. Muslims are thin people and they have a little bit of humor. For thoughtlessly throwing the phrase "bomb" or something similar, one of the tourists during the bus transfer from the airport to the plane, the plane was delayed for an hour in search of the subject of her black humor. Some of these jokes end in deportation or worse. Draw your own conclusions. And have a nice holiday everyone!
We arrived at night. Of course, immediately in the shower. And there is warm water (probably at night). Plus, given that the air conditioner was rattling at least since lunch, then I had to sleep in the “refrigerator”, but again, these are all trifles.
The food at the hotel is good, although for "all inclusive" they say that it's a bit poor. If you take breakfast and dinner, then drinks for dinner are paid. The nearest shopping centers can only be reached by taxi.
Water in the hotel is paid completely, unless you have an all-inclusive, so just in case, take a travel boiler with you, well, it helps a lot.
They settled into the room without any problems. We took the Chalet zone, because. read about the Boar, but when they saw the Pleasant Corner of the Boar, they were surprised at the captiousness of the people. Inside, the same as in the Chalet area, only without a balcony and next to the pool, and given that there is no animation, it is quite acceptable.
The hotel area is very well maintained. Of course, you won’t find grass there, but trees and flowers are planted neatly. (see photo) Plus, there is a poultry house on site.
Wi-fi in the hotel is paid (which is very disappointing, because the hotel has very little entertainment and in the evening it almost completely falls asleep).
Safe in the room is free. This is their big plus.
It is not necessary to leave the cash equivalent upon check-in, I take my passport and give it back upon check-out with full payment for additional services (mini bar, drinks in the restaurant).
Private sandy beach. But every day the tides are low (you can walk to the very buoys on foot, but after lunch the water returns again), and after lunch a strong wind rises, so much so that the sun is still shining and you want to soak up under it, and the wind blows unbearably, so you have to hide in room.
We took only a panoramic tour to Modern Dubai (my personal opinion is a complete rip-off, because the minimum cost for the guide Fadi is 70 dollars, and for our Natalie Tours it’s generally 110 dollars, and this is a half-day excursion, for climbing the Tower an additional 70 dollars , and if we take into account that Dubai also has an old part, which costs at least 80 dollars, then it turns out that in order to go to Dubai you need at least 10.000 rubles per person). Families usually take a taxi and for $ 100 they ride around all these places for half a day (it turns out much cheaper). In general, I advise you to rent a car and....travel around Dubai on your own (unless you are with little kids, of course).
Once again, I was convinced that Dubai is no longer so cheap, unless of course you are from Tyumen, or somewhere else. Souvenirs were bought on the territory of the hotel, where you can bargain up to 50%.
The hotel is mostly families with small children and the elderly. A week is enough to rest. 10 days seemed too much for us for this country.
